I have one or two things to say on this film. First of all, it has the most beautiful effects I have ever seen. The story line seems original though. Yes I can see a little bit of Ferngully in this. Or Pocahantes perhaps. But those stories capture what James was trying to get across if you were paying any attention to this particular interview. Anti-war. The only thing that can stop it is love. I see no problem with using that kind of love story for this film. Great movie. Fine work!

You really have it messed up. James Cameron's idea of a marine is Jake Sully. All the qualities James Cameron thinks marines are, are the qualities in Jake Sully. Watch Jay Leno interview him. He talks about how he has great respect for the armed forces and his idea of a marine is Jake Sully and not the contracted guns/marines in the movie. The movie's message is not about any particular event in history. The message of the movie is that humanity has this entitlement about it.
