What I had in mind was that it's just much more sensitive with big age differences where the guy is older, simply cause it heightens the general power discrepancies between the sexes. An older man would be seen as having more of everything, experience, wisdom, power, thus being more of a man (more of a subject), while a woman would more likely be judged after the principle "less is more", being more of a girl makes her more of a woman (more of an object).
