if you look at ymo album covers you will see they always enjoy playing with stereotype images! and messing with their own public image. ymo with X through it, post ymo, hasymo. solid state survivor cover they wear uniforms from china under mao, multiplies cover makes fun of western idea that Asian people look alike, ymo even released albums in us and uk with comedy tracks in japanese!! propaganda film is same thing, serious joking and great music.

Well, this video is part of the film 'propaganda' and looking at the flags throughout the stage, looks almost (dare i say it) like a nazi thing. People interpret things differently. Thats my opinion anyway.

Hi there :) Propaganda is really y.m.o's final live concert but with a kind of story revolved around it. If you've listened to 'after service' then that's basically it.

I notice your from the states. You can obtain it from jpophelp <dot> com. Type in something like 'propaganda ymo' will take you there. Theres two dvd copies there. One is $15.95 and the other a whopping $56.58. Thing the cheaper one is from china maybe (i have the cheaper one together with all ymo concert dvd's from the late 70's & 80's). Glad to help you out rod! yeh, i was pretty gutted when i heard about them splitting, and in the high-light of there popularity too. How selfish lol. I used to write to pete barakan in the early 80's. Because no new album had appeared for sometime i wrote again to mr barakan and he confirmed my worse fears :/

I'm just suprised they didn't do a 20th anniversary concert.. what with 'Technodon' being there 10th.
