If you have the time, I personally think a SRV hit such as Pride and Joy or Texas Flood would be awesome to cover! You obviously have the talent and skill to accomplish songs like these.
Hi it's me again. I got a question. What do you have that Patriot plugged into? I'm asking because it sounds very bluesy, and for whatever reason, when I think of blues, I think of a Strat and not a single cutaway guitar like a LP or MK. By the way, sweeeet playin reincarnated SRV.
Hey man first of all the SRV thing is high praise and i thank you very much for that! I did the best i could to get that texas feel him and his brother jimi really brought out. As for the sound i think you are asking about the amp i was using. In this vid i had the pickup switch in the middle position and the coil tap on. It splits the humbucker into two single coils for tht Strat sound. i had my clean channel front ended with an Ibanez Tube Screamer (which srv used) for that but. Thanks!
Ya know Thom, if you put a cowboy hat on, shaved your beard, and put a leather jacket on, from a distance you'd look like Stevie Ray Vaughn playing a Les Paul! HaHa
hi thom! I´ve been thinking of getting one MK, I like to play rock- metal stuff and shredding. I was thinking if the HEX Deluxe would be a great axe, but I live in Spain and I can´t check it. I´m afraid about the new Black Betty active pickups and the maintenance of a floyd rose tremolo, what do you think? thanks
Hey brother thanks alot for watching. So down to your question. These days im endorsed by Warrior guitars exclusively but lets see if i cant help. If your looking for a double cut from the MK line i personally don't think that the hex is stable enough because of the FR trem and because they are bolt on necks. If it were me i would go with the VEX neck through models the have superior sustain and plaability. The black bettys have great sound at a less than emg price. happy playing! -Thom
Thank you very much for answering, I´ll bet on for the VEX. thanks again for your help and I hope your warrior endorsement makes you even a better guitarist.
