It was surgery that messed up her face. You can see in Wild Orchid how beautiful she still was. I think she had her nose done or her cheeks and it messed up her looks a bit. I remember reading something about that even before she was in the BEP.

I don't know what a lot of people are talking about Fergie looking old or bad. I just had the pleasure of seeing her perform live (I was pretty close to her) and I have to say She looked absolutely beautiful. I also don't think she has had any plastic surgery. If you look closer at pictures of her over the years. Different makeup and hair style changes her look very much from year to year. She can look different sometimes in the same video.

It speeds up the aging process 3x-4x faster, that's why even though she's in her mid 30s, she looks like she's in her late 40s to early 50s if you look at press/paparazzi photos of her.

All the more reason why people shouldn't do drugs or cigarettes.
