It's a JOKE. Green Day is a great band, they have awesome music (in my opinion, anyway), and the video was well done.

Most Canadians (myself included) like to make fun of things. It's like our version of "blowing sh*t up".

Also, @ItsNoSurprise; stop with your American superiority complex. We don't have a different accent for each province like Americans do for each state (Boston or Texas, for example). Most of us sound like people from Michigan.

@skatergirl1356 I know, exactly. The only people in Canada that have a different accent are people from Newfoundland and Laborador, or maybe some people from parts of Ontario or Nova Scotia. Across the praries and in BC, people sound the same, and also about half of the people now in Alberta were orginally from Saskatchewan (or atleast their families were), so that's why we all mostly have the same accent. (I'm from SK. lol)
