Wow, Doc. Excellent holograms. Do you use an argon laser? I am just now learning the art myself (with a 532nM DPSS module), and would love to get results that look that SOLID... I am hoping the arrival of my Lasercheck meter will get me to that 10:1 I think I need to lose the ghostliness that previous reflection works seem to display. Just wondering - are these holograms you show here shot as reflection exposures originally or mastered from other holograms?
I can't seem to post my email address here. Google "Thomas C. Altman" and you will get my school web page with my email address. email me and I may be able to offer you more help.
hi...i think your holographs are really awesome..i want to make some of them but i don't know what to use for the holographic film...u mention it's a mirror but it looks kind of green so idk...could you send me some of the details, im really thinking about pursuing a career on photonics. thanks in advance.
If you Google "Altman Holography" you can find a number of places that sell my video and the needed equipment to make holograms. The film is not a mirror, but rather I made holograms with mirrors in them... It is a rather expensive hobby as film has gotten to be rather expensive.
Great execution of depth and reflection. Good work!

Small power (5mW) HeNe laser with a 14 second exposure. Direct hologram with one beam. Put the object behind the film and shoot it.

WOW and that's all what I can say :D

Big costs LOTS of money... and there are a number of great places that do that. We stuck with small because of the price.
