PT 2. Immobilizer randomly kicks in at speed! The only solution I figured out was to have BMW deactivate my alarm until my friend and I redo the alarm wiring when we install the wide-screen Nav , m sport steering wheel, well pretty much a 2000 model year face-lift. Good luck man cuz it was a serious headache driving on campus and it would turn off on EVERY speed bump!!!!
PT1. I am having the same problem in my 95 740i! I took it to BMW and they told me to upgrade to your rechargeable style key and they coded my car to match and it worked... FOR ONE DAY!!! Anyway so $400ish later they casually tell me most likely a wire or sensor has worn out and is causing the car to think its being stolen! That is what is causing your door to rapidly re-lock itself after manually unlocking it. Just wait to your e38 gets to the point where when you're driving the engine,
