Yes it is. I was born in tacoma wa, same hospital jerry was, and i was raised in spanaway, same town jerry was raised. I found his year book picture on the net a while back and I've looked all over I cant find it again. But yeah everyone around here knows, well my friends at least. I think most of these people aren't around kids given their work environment. I don't think he's the only one who didn't end up in the usual married with kids situation. If you look at his story, then you will not wonder why, it's pretty easy to guess. Plus, famous entertainers who do have kids always end up torturing their kids, intentionally or unintentionally. I don't think I would have kids had I chosen that career path. You just can't be a rock star and a family guy all at once.

I think he's not too old. My dad died of cancer when I was 21, so he didn't stick around long enough, but shit happens, I survived it and I don't think my sense of family has been affected by it. If Jerry had kids now, he could still be around when his first kid turns forty, so I don't see the big deal about age. There are factors way more important than that, like being present, a sound relationship between the parents, work-life balance, being drug- and alcohol-free (hint!), etc.
