To take the fruits of ones labor by force is theft. Nothing less. The state collects it's income tax by using the threat of violence. Theft is immoral, no matter how "noble" the states intentions may be
Well, considering I don't see material possessions as something with a concrete idea of physical ownership, yes. But hey, you like the TV and computer you paid for & that all means something big and important because of your labor or something; good for you.
Ayn Rand believed homosexuality was immoral. That is true. However, she believed that they deserved rights like any other human being. Because ya know, you're a human regardless of sexual orientation. Good video though. It's funny to see Republicans becoming victims of the fear that they try to inflict on others.
ATT and Verizon are in court right now because of helping the Bush admin with warrantless wire taps. They spied on many random people. That's why they're in court.

I disagree Jesus was a socialist. Was he for helping the less-fortunate? Sure, but out of the goodness of one's heart. If you make someone give, like what socialism does, then the whole reason for doing it, out of goodness, is stomped upon.
For what its worth, the wiretaps were something I humbly disagreed with, except for non-American citizens.
Well done, i think thats quite ironic that jesus trully was a socialist and just about every republican is of a capitalistic mind and uses jesus to they're own political gains.I really don't have anything against True Republicans ones who stand for less gov and more personal responsibility,I have something against the leaders of both parties putting on a show for the populous,opposing eachother with one hand while shredding the constitution and looting us for the gain of the elite with the other
I don't quite understand what Ayn Rand thinking that homosexuality is a disease has to do with her arguments against socialism. You used an Ad Hominem argument. A lot of people thought it was a disease back then. You used Jesus a supporter of socialism. God, according to the bible, hates homosexuals, so we really shouldn't listen to anything he or his "son" has to say, right?
Yeah the Ayn Rand might have been a bit of a stretch,but im SURE the people who thought it was a disease were REALLY smart, comeon even back then you would have to be a bit tarded to believe that. I think the whole point is that some of the best minds believe socialism to be a good thing. People have been brainwashed to believe its a dirty word.
Homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder by the American Psychiatric Association till 1973 and by the American Psychological Association till 1975. I'm sure all the people that agreed with psychologists and psychiatrists about the issue were "tarded"(sarcasm). I'm also sure that sharing what you have earned through your ability with those that have none and wait open arms to be taken care of and served by the men of ability, is a good thing just because "some of the best minds" say so.
Extreme Communism and Extreme Capitalism I think moderation is the key. The government should provide the necessities everybody needs and Private Companies to provide luxury items and choice in product.
iaresloth, please defend your childish claim of "epic fail", because personally, I don't see how fillbaxter was wrong with what he said. Sure there is greed in the world, and yes, republicans tend to be most associated with it from a media stand point, but the truth is Republicans have always stood for smaller more localized, diverse government, alluding to the claim "freedom of choice" by fillbaxter. I am liberal when it comes to social issues, but in terms of business economics, republican win
You know, people are incredibly flawed, and they always have been. I see it in this way, to put it in black and white. People are going to cheat, scam, lie and take advantage of holes in law and other areas, to benefit themselves and their families. In a world where humanity was perfect, angelic even, capitalism would be wonderful. On the other hand, in an extreme version of socialism, you have people not being allowed the freedom to BE good. It's just naïve to believe that people are good.
I agree OleBentsen, not all people are good, which is why Capitalism is the better decision in my mind, primarily because it is human nature to compete. There would be no progress in a society where there is no comprable reward. Abraham Lincoln said it best, " That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well.

I loved the video, i thought it was hilarious. All of you Republicans and conservatives are some of the dumbest mothers out there.
Obama is not going to take away your guns, you all say that every time a Democrat comes into office; so stop it with that broken record.
Just because you all have no education and you all masturbate into your guns at night, does not mean you have a good case.
Also, if Jesus were around today, he would not be a Republican, he's a peace loving person,.

Capitalism = Freedom Of Choice
Socialism = Government Coercion
Also, H.G. Wells believed in eugenics, that kind of cancels out the Ayn Rand argument.
