  • What in heck does it mean when he says "there are many paths to Jesus"? Thumbs up if you're as confused by that statement as I am. The only thing he said on this entire 2 min and 29 sec video that is 100% true, is that "Jesus is the way to the one God" and that homosexuality is a sin. Why on earth though did he not declare that Jesus IS the one God? He's not only "the way, the truth and the life", HE IS GOD HIMSELF. Denying the deity of Jesus, is akin to denying he is the ONLY way to God.

  • Does anyone read the Bible anymore? He's wrong, a lot of these comments are wrong, we have much work to do in this country.. America, the toughest place to be a REAL self-sacrificial Christian.

  • Being gay is not a choice, so it is not a sin, Joel.

  • For those that understands the KJV and know that we are spiritual being and the body is the Temple to house the spirt should know that spirits do use us even if they are bad one or good ones, I believe that Gay is a sin but one of many. A lot of people sin.and I am not saying that it is right (judging is a Sin) I just don't like when people take one sin and Blow it up (Gay) and not do the same to the other ones . No such thing as a small or big sin. Sin is sin.

  • @1stladyh101 Not sure what Bible you're reading, but judging isn't a sin, if you are defining "sin" as being disobedient to God.

  • KJV states that Thomas said to the Lord how can we know the way, St.JOHN 14:6 tells us that Jesus told Thomas That he is the way ,the truth, and the life: NO MAN cometh unto the Father, but by him( Jesus) This is written. Read it for yourself

  • doctor, nurse, Pope or anyother person in this world that doesn't receive JESUS as LORD OF ALL! The bible says that "there's one God", & the bible also says that "God is a jealous God" & also "not to have another God before thee" not mary or anyothwr saint; I pray to God in Jesus Name b/c JESUS DIED ME NOT mary. juss saying!

  • -Yes @ Lazar I agree with everything u said thats AWESOME & so true

-I also agree with Joel Olsteen, in that point when he said that some Christians think that homosexuality is worse than another sin b/c if u have ur 85 ur old grandma baking cookies & feeding the homeless & picking up crash around the city, no matter how harsh it may seem but if she doesnt receive Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior she's going to hell right along with the homosexual, drunk, cheat, thief, policeofficer, fireman

  • Very scary. Joel Osteen probably means well. He wants folks to be saved, but it's like he's trying to sell Christ without actually saying what it means to be in Christ. It's watered down a lot. A lot of loop holes where folks can shrug their shoulders and say, "Well Joel Osteen said..." The bible is clear that no other name is given for salvation, and that those who have not repented from their homosexuality will not be saved. There are homosexuals who have repented and are now saved.

  • did he just say gay ppl can make it to heaven? ? ?

  • Being gay is not a sin. Trust me on this.

  • Sin is sin we all commit sin on a daily basis. It does not matter if its homosexuality or killing someone....it is still a sin. So repent of the sin and try to do better on a daily basis. The bible was given to us to live out what God wants for us...not what we want....!!!

  • @Windo64 We can not do better .... Our works are like filthy rags..... Instead we need to bare our crosses daily and let the Holy Spirit live inside of us! It can not live inside a sin filled person either so we must be saved and contunally have faith that our flesh was crucified on the cross with Christ and is dead(Gal.2:20)

  • @alexrimbo Amen brother....God Bless!

  • Very good Joel, you did not back down. Sin is sin...we all do it and is why all should embrace Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. Everyday we wake up is another opportunity to do better. I have never regretted doing good but have always regretted every and all sins I have ever committed. Good job Joel...keep spreading the word, I can't wait till Jesus returns to kick butt!

  • And for all those out there who say Jesus is the son of God, well guess what, were all Sons and daughters of God! Jesus meant it by saying I am the son of God, and so is everyone else....If you believe in Him!

  • I love you Joel! It doesnt matter what people say or think about you!! Oprah Honestly put you in tough spot by asking you that question!....You are a great man, and your words inspires ME and others who are positive! Yes you manke alot of money but you deserve it...what about all the artist who make money yet send out wrong messages!...Youre doing the right way! My love goes out for you!!

  • Joel Osteen IS a Christian..... it's just there are so many non-spirit filled, judgmental, law-bound, overly religious "Christians" out there, they don't recognize the real thing when they see it :-) Joel has it right. So does Joseph Prince. Beating people down with how sinful they are is NOT what Jesus did - God is against sin, but he's FOR people :-)

  • No friend, I don't hide behind anything,-that you invoke an analogy which is flawed is irrelevant.. A male/female 'convicted rapist' may marry legally incidental to the social value of the institution- there is no intentional injury to gays in that. In fact, a bi-sexual can marry a person of the opposite gender. Marriage is a societal function & the majority has the right & obligation to establish productive boundaries. limits, benefits & definitions to it.

  • NOT AS A GAY, NO WAY, Thou shalt not lie with a mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22 Sodom and America

  • JESUS IS GOD

  • Another false teacher deceiving millions.

  • Why is it so hard for Joel Osteen to just flat out say that he believes that homosexuality is a sin? He keeps trying to hide it by saying "I believe the scriptures says it is a sin." It's like he wants to say that I don't want it to be a sin, but I have to say it's a sin because the scriptures says it is. Joel Osteen is not a Christian. He is a wolf and he is a pawn of Satan. He's in the business for making money, not for telling the Truth. Judgment Day will be a terrible day for him.

  • @StuartMason09 James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." That scripture is basically saying, "If you murder someone but don't commit adultery, you have still broken the law(James 2:11). Here is an example of sin UNTO DEATH(Acts 5:1-10). The law of The Most High ; If broken are sins NOT unto death ; just CONFESS and STOP. Proverbs 28:13 " He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confess and forsakes them will have mercy."

  • he cares more about his popularity than of speaking truth, in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven you must be born again of water and of spirit

  • He keeps talking of "growing" why hasn't he mentioned repentance!!

  • @StuartMason09 con't...deliberate, willful, continuous, unrepentant sin. John makes a distinction between the believer's "occasional failures" that cause sin and "habitual sin" that is unconfessed. John uses the indefinite article "a" sin, it actually is referring not to a single particular sin, but certain serious sins that person may commit and not confess.

  • THIS MAN HAD THE BIGGEST OPORTUNITY TO TELL AMERICA AND THE WORLD,WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT THIS BAD SIN AND WHERE AMERICA IS GOING IF THEY ALLOWED THIS SIN TO TAKE OVER THIS LAND AND WHERE THEY GOING IF THEY DONT REPENT..BUT JOEL DIDNT....WE MISS A BIG OPORTUNITY HERE.....

  • @dariankyara

Osteen said homosexuality was a sin, which is all the Bible says about it. The Bible also says many other things are sins as well and that these sins are all equally punishable by death. You help prove Osteen's point about the overemphasis some Christians have on homosexuality. This emphasis isn't found in the Bible and is a personal, not biblical, preoccupation with gay sex that certain Christians have for whatever reason.

  • @StuartMason09 The first part of my comment was removed for some reason. What I was basically saying was all sin is not of the same degree. 1John 5:16-17 "If any man see his brother sin a sin which is NOT unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.THERE IS A SIN UNTO death: I do not say that he shall pray for it".17) "ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS IS SIN: and there is a sin NOT unto death." The sin unto death is..(continue on to comment from 2 days ago.)Blessings

  • @cheryljohnsonlou

I was asking how you reconsile your interpretation of those verses with James 2:10 and verses showing even "small" sins as punishable by death, but since comments are disappearing I'll leave it at that.

  • JOEL YOU ARE A NOT TRUE MAN OF GOD..A TRUE MAN OF GOD WHO PREACH THE TRUE GODS WORD ARE NOT SCARE TO OFFEND PEOPLE..JESUS DID IT EVERY DAY.BECAUSE PEOPLE DID NOT WANTED TO HEAR THE ""TRUTH""" IWONDER WHAT GOD

WAS THINKING WHEN HE EVEN CONFUSE OPRAH?

  • wow. . .i'm surprised at this clip. What is this? Is this Oprah's new show? I might just watch it then! Gettin to the nitty gritty. lol

  • I STUDY the OCCULT. I can answer many questions you may have that never seem to be answered. Like "what ARE angels and demons?", "What would the nature of God be like if He exists?", "Why do all governments of the world pay homage to many fallen angels via statues, roads and architecture?", "is MagicK real?", "Why does it seem to be we are living in a world run by villians instead of simply neglegent human beings?", Why did Einstein lie about the relativity of light?" and much more. PM me. PM ME

  • Amen!!!

  • I dont think Joel Osteen care what the christian sheep think that follow him. I just saw him Vacationing in Mexico on the Beach ( On entertainment tonight ), lives in a 10million home, and works tax free one day a week. I would say he's Living Large but that would be an understatement. Maybe I'll become a Pastor !!

  • Joel knows that God did not put him on this earth to condemn people. That is not Joel's place. That is not what ANY of us were put here to do. If indeed being gay is a sin, (which I highly doubt), then that is between God and the gay person, and no one else. Joel knows that most people who listen to his sermons are in need of LOVE and HOPE. The world does a good enough job beating gays down, too many of them are on the brink of suicide as it is. Joel knows his job is to love all and heal despair

  • @MeliFromTheBloc Read 1 Corinthians 6:9. Then read Romans Ch. 1 and 2. Its very clear through these scriptures that homosexuality is a sin. It is listed right along side the other ones such as fornicators, adulterers, drunkards, idolaters....and these will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. But the good news is, that God loves all sinners and is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repetance. (2 Peter 3:9)

  • the bible seems to me to state being gay as being a stronger sin... it uses the word detestable for such actions as murder, but not for actions such as pride, but for homosexuality it says if a man lies with a man the way he lies with a woman the that is detestable in the eyes of the lord. Sin is sin but i beleive some sing anger God more than others because of the words chosen to descibe the sin.

  • gay

  • way

  • there is but one to God in that is through Jesus not many paths just onr

  • Jesus came to set people free from the bondages and curse of sin, not to alleviate them from everything. There wouldn't be a need for Jesus anymore then. People put WAAAAY too much emphasis on being "set free" as if it's some magical or hyper-spiritual way to be liberated. There are things in the world we do not yet understand and one thing is being gay. Just because a gay person is saved, doesn't mean he's going to be some boob-chaser. God doesn't switch one form of lust for another.

  • Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

  • There is only one way to the father (GOD) and that's JESUS! and yes there is many ways to get to Jesus and thats's payers snd forgiveness. and being "gay" is a sin , and no matter how big and how small a sin is sin. and people don't realize that. but everyone is intitled to respect and treated equal

  • that latest research is letting us believe that homosexuality is produced in the womb by an imbalance in hormones during the 3rd trimester----------- so, should we blame the mother for the "sin of being gay"

I believe in god, jesus and the holy mary and I believe that being gay is not a sin. gay people should have equal rights and never be judged.

    god bless

  • @FollowingChrist44 I dont think Joel Osteen care what the christian sheep think that follow him. I just saw him Vacationing in Mexico on the Beach ( On entertainment tonight ), lives in a 10million home, and works tax free one day a week. I would say he's Living Large but that would be an understatement. Maybe I'll become a Pastor !!

  • For a short time, I was into Joel. He's a good positive speaker. However, it wasn't long before I realized all I was hearing in his sermons was "God wants you to have this, and God wants you to have that, if you're not happy in your life, etc." Where are the Bible verses to back this stuff up? I want to be taught from the Bible if I'm going to listen to a pastor. And the sheer size of his church and all the money that's put into his "worship band" that sits in a sunken part of the stage?

  • @MattHatter I'm currently congregating at Lakewood, and I understand what you are saying. But you have to remember that each and every congregation has a different style of preaching and what they preach. His message goes towards the ones in need and that are in despair. But his main goal is for people to know about Jesus Christ and be Saved. After that they can choose whatever congregation feels best for them to grow spiritually.

  • Osteen has no backbone.

  • I have said this before though, and I will say it again... I can see conviction in Joel when he answers these questions... I see he really knows he is wrong about some of his responses in these interviews. Perhaps he will seek repentance down the road? Maybe? I mean, these responses are a tad better than the ones he gave on Larry King Live lol

  • Joel, here is the thing regarding sin... With the homosexual example... if you are indulging and enjoying your homosexual sin and temptation, chances are you are not saved and will not get into Heaven. However, if you have those temptations but are repenting and you hate that nagging sin, and you do profess genuine faith in Christ, then you can say this is good evidence of salvation in that person. And Joel, the reason why Christians make a bigger deal out of gays is because they flaunt it.

  • @RmarteaJ This situation with you is very strange. All I planted was scriptures; I did that purposely to eliminate hearing, "What you're saying is wrong"..But I'm still accused of planting negative seed.. Sigh, Okay, Galatians 4:16 "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth"? *** IT'S ALL IN LOVE : ) *** You be Encouraged as well.

  • he made it seem like everyone is going to heaven. god made hell for a reason somebody going there

  • con't..now those are the false prophets. Confusion is not of God and this person's comments are all over the place. Get your life.

  • @CMK2712 If you are not presenting the true uncut Word of God, to avoid not being liked or whatever the case may be is dangerous; That is what I'm getting from you, Luke 26:6 " Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets"..You are correct, I do feel weight, but with prayer and a desire to live a holy life I read Hebrews 12:1 " Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnessing, let us LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT, AND

  • @cheryljohnsonlou Paula White, Juanita Bynum, TD Jakes are all different warriors of God with different approaches with the same goal. To help those who are lost and to support those who are in danger of sin. And in regards to being born with spiritual gifts, when I say born I mean to become new. This is nothing personal and I respect you as a woman of God I just think we have to open our eyes to what is really working and what really isn't.

  • @cheryljohnsonlou and do what God has called us to do. Neither one of us know what God has put on Joels heart. This very approach and teaching style might be a part of Joel's purpose. He has drawn so many ppl to the word of God. So maybe God needs another warrior to stand up and preach more about sin and if that's so then let's trust that God will send that too. But until that happens don't put down another person for doing what they were destined to do.

  • @CMK2712 Most importantly, Joel cannot draw anyone to the Word, John 13:32 "And if I be lifted up from the earth, I WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME." Secondly, when you are called to minister the word of The Most high, your job is to preach/teach the "GOSPEL", not to pick and chose what you want to teach, 2Timothy 3:16 "ALL SCRIPTURES is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

  • @cheryljohnsonlou I think people have tried it your way as well and it hasn't changed the hearts of sinners. If my sympathy will not help them, then your blunt approach surely won't. Sometimes you have to take the back door approach and get on your knees and pray, intercede, call out the things which are not of God and ask for his help. How can you help someone if your judgement is turning them away. We as Christians should be on our knees asking God to help us get out our own way

  • @cheryljohnsonlou That is so true I do agree that a person's relationship with God is through God's word. The key here is to remember you can't just take part of it but all of it!!! It's not your place to judge the next person. You express the truth and live out that life of truth right in front of them.

  • @CMK2712 I only share The Word, but I'm judging? Oh well, I'm judging then; John 7:24 "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement". "I let my life so shine before men that they may see my good works, and glorify my Father which is in heaven"( Mathew 5:16). I work to glorify my Heavenly Father; not to stop the sinner from sinning. Do you really think by me living "truth" in front of a homosexual, drunkard, fornicator, etc. will stop them? Be Realistic. Be Encouraged.

  • Im surprised how many people will argue over the Easter Bunny......No wonder so many stupid Humans go to war over religion ( which was created by Humans )

  • @TheOpenyoureyes12 Yes religion, not Christ and His salvation, those are from God.

  • "The law is also very useful, because it shows us our defections and stains. It is like

the looking-glass which my lady holds up to her face, that she may see if there be any

spot on it. But she cannot wash her face with the looking-glass.When the mirror has

done its utmost, then there are the same stains. It cannot take away a single spot, it

can only show where one is." C.H. Spurgeon

  • I will try to make this the last time to not react to the "critics" going nowhere fast with God. Let them stay ignorant for all I care. I will follow Jesus and leave the critics to their faithless blindness while they quote scriptures with no faith or love in their hearts. I will walk in the fullness of the blessings of Jesus in my life and let His blessings chase me down and overtake me! If God be for me, no one can be against me. No more of"teachers" whose hearts are not with Jesus or people!

  • @PureAirSolutions Amen!!! Finally a true Christ like individual!

  • @PureAirSolutions So for the record, 1 Tomothy is for Jews only?

  • @PureAirSolutions Why is it for those who are ungodly and lawless??? Because the Law is like a tutor, it leads us to repentance and Christ by showing us our lawlessness.

  • @PureAirSolutions Galatians is to Gentiles. I Timothy 1:8-10....the Law is good...it's for the ungodly...that is everyone.

  • @PureAirSolutions I showed you 1 Tim...that is for everyone. And Galatians 3:24.

  • @joeforHistruth No, that is NOT "for everyone" That is YOUR ERROR and THAT IS THE PROBLEM!

  • @PureAirSolutions The Law is what????? GOOD, if one uses it lawfully. How do we use it lawfully?? By using it to show sin.

  • @PureAirSolutions The Law shows sin...it leads us to Christ...to repentance. Godly sorrow and the goodness of God lead us to rpentance. Why goodness? Because when we see our utter sinfulness throught the Law and then we see how GOOD God is by sending Christ...that leads us to repentance.

  • @PureAirSolutions Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. Galatians 3:24

Notice it says 'US', Paul was speaking to who? Gentiles. Who is the Law for according to 1 Tomothy 1:8 ??? The ungodly.....that's anyone, not Jews alone...anyone.

  • @PureAirSolutions You're still not answering about 1 Tomothy???? Answer please...I'll wait

  • @PureAirSolutions I'm giving you scripture. Are you saying the verses in 1 Timothy and Rpomans and Galatians is only for Jews?? Galatians was written to who??? Gentiles. Paul was a to reach who?? The Gentiles.

  • @PureAirSolutions Who is the Law for according to 1 Tomothy?????

  • A lot of people may feel as if Joel needs to be more stern in his response to homosexuality being a sin. I think that Joel realizes that sometimes you have to be sensitive and compassionate to the audience that's listening. Homosexuals don't need anyone saying "you are wrong, and you are going to hell". They need love, support and guidance to find conviction within their own hearts. I think that Joel is in tune with God and realizes that being sensitive to the subject is a better approach.

  • @CMK2712 1) The scriptures says in 1Timothy 5:20 "Them that SIN REBUKE before ALL, that OTHERS also may FEAR." 2) How can they find conviction, if they're not being convicted? 3) Romans 1:32 "Who KNOWING the JUDGEMENT of GOD that they which COMMIT such things are WORTHY of DEATH, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.4) No where in the scriptures do you read that God was sensitive concerning SIN. Hebrews 5:25 It is a FEARFUL thing to FALL into the hands of the living God.

  • @cheryljohnsonlou I understand and receive everything that you stated above and I love how you went to scripture to support your argument but I really do believe that God is a patient and understanding God. I know this from my personal relationship with him. He gives us the sensitivity to know when to be bold and when to be compassionate. That's the whole purpose of every person being born with different spiritual gifts.

  • @CMK2712 I agree with you to a certain extent; we were not born with spiritual gifts. They are only given to believers of Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit. We were not born as believers; we were born in sin ( Psalm 51:5) Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me...This was not to put you on blast, but we are workers together in God (2Corinthians 6:1)... I'm still in the learning stage as well.

  • @cheryljohnsonlou I don't think that in this day and time the people who do believe need more judgment or condemnation. I believe that God is calling the church to state the truth but hear the needs of the ones listening. I think God is great enough to know when a person needs a hug or love verses when a person needs to hear the truth boldly and blatantly. And finding conviction first comes from accepting God into your life and walking with his spirit.

  • 0:25 Oprah throws up that pyramid hand sign. She considers Satan as God.

  • A Gay person nor any one who has sin will never be accepted into heaven, cause sin cannot enter heaven, Heaven is a holy place therefore sin will never enter. It is true that every one can find God and God will forgive every sin, but that does not mean he will allow it into heaven.

  • Stop beating around the bush and call sin what is sin. Your saying a whole lot of nothing right now. Is it or is it not? Stop being a wimp and man up! Jesus said he came into this world to cause division. for men and women to say no to sin and give their lives to God. If Jesus can say it Joel, so can you. Man up!

  • @lvebttrlverepublican He has plenty of gay members in his church so he's practicing tactfulness. He doesn't want to lose any members.

  • @joeforHistruth Where can I find that Word ? Because the Bible was written by some powerful Human Beings around 300 AD

  • @TheOpenyoureyes12 Because the Almighty, infinite, all powerful God has given us His word.

  • one way to God is throw Jesus the only to Jesus is the cross

  • @bamafant92 "throw Jesus"? Kindly edit if this is a type-o.

  • @AldoBoldiDesign Are you joking? Homosexuality is indeed sin as well as fornication. Homosexuals that live in abstinence are not sinning? Disagree. I don't beleive they can remain abstinent and if they do they are still saying they are a homosexual, which is direct opposition to Gods word.

  • I agree with Joel that "gay" is just as much sin as "any other sin" But Jesus came to set people free.. however, Joel has such a platform to preach the bondage of sin but don't..

However we can learn how to Love one another from Joel..

Just wish he would be more straight about things.

  • Either the Bible is right or it isn't... And not just the "good" scriptures... Man lives by EVERY Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.. We weren't designed to live on just a few of them. There is no way you can preach the Truth of God's gospel and be scared to offend people... Cry loud and spare not is the way to show people their transgressions. Christ was highly offensive to his generation calling them vipers and white washed tombs filled with dead men's bones. In Him God was well pleased.

  • @dcarlb true on this here i was very upset that he did not said what he need it to say ,,"""THE TRUTH""'

  • And its not about the church beating up on sinners... Judgment begins with us... We must hold our lives (and religions/denominations) up to the Light of Scripture and let His Word be the judge... Olsteen can't pick and choose which ones that he wants to use to grow a church... "WE" can't "work on our sin" as he suggests... If we could, then why would God send Jesus..?? Jude says that He is able to keep us from falling and can present us FAULTLESS (sinless....) before the Presence of God...

  • No man will see the Lord... But in reality... You can not have a church that large without compromising the Word of God... Reference Jesus Christ in John 6:60-66... He gave them strong truth and the Bible says that many that walked with Him walked no more with Him... If Jesus couldn't keep the masses, then how will they unless they delute (strong delusion) the Word to make it palatable to a people who (let's just be honest...) like to sin...

  • How can he say that he believes that the Bible presents homosexuality as a sin, but say (out of the same mouth) that they are STILL (in sin) and going to Heaven... It IS open for all of us, but we all MUST choose to live for Christ and DENY OURSELVES (our inclinations to reject God's Love and proclivity to sin and vice...) God set before us life and death and then told us to choose life... He doesn't send us to hell... We CHOOSE it when we reject His Way (which is Holiness..) Without which...

  • Such such evil. Anybody who thinks Joel is ordained by God doesn't know scripture very well. How can you say you're Christian and not hear the evil emanating from his lips? I can literally feel it right now.

  • You can tell it's hard for him to say that homosexuality is a sin. He doesn't want to isolate anyone. It's a hard thing to be commanded by what you consider to be a holy book to love unconditionally and also to make a judgement about who people love.

  • BTW - He is clearly saying "I believe" not the Bible states. That way he can sell his stuff and twist words

  • How does He know this ? He was born just like the rest of us not knowing ? I guess there are sugestible people that will buy anything

  • Hahahah Comment Removed... Must be True !!!

  • @joeforHistruth I am not denying christ existed. My argument will be true even if christ comes right in-front of me and tells me he is a son of god and performs miracles. That will not prove that he has any better access to god than I do.You might raise your eye brow because for you that will be an abomination. For me he is just another guywho knew some tricks and had nice things to say and preach. but No GOD.

  • @pinkyush he is not a son, but He is the Son Of God

For to which of the angels did God ever say,

    “You are my Son;

today I have become your Father... Hebrews 1:5

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word....Hebrews 1:3

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.Colossians 1:15

    He is God

  • @intox1 you have opened my eyes! Thankyou. All my sins are now washed and I am ready to live in heaven for ever leaving all the sinners behind.

  • I think the people of Sodom and Gomorrah would see it as different!

  • I am for everbody. And i do not get how God could say its wrong is what your really trying to spew out of your mouth!

  • @surgechecker18 Bro Jesus did speak against hypocrisy..he also spoke on Judging and judging righteously..Love is about rebuke. Nowhere in the scripture does it say to validate Gay ppl because you love them..because you love them you tell them the truth and God makes it very clear that anyone living a homosexual lifestlye is sexual immorality and will have their part in the lake of fire. Point Blank Period. Love is telling the truth and the truth shall make you free.

  • A gay person will go to heaven if and ONLY IF he or she repents and accepts Jesus as his or her personal Lord and Savior. Then that person won’t be “gay” as in sleeping with the same sex, but “gay” as in happy functioning as a male or a female, and overflowing with joy that comes only from God.

  • God created the sun and the moon, the heavens and the earth, a man and a woman. The pattern here is one of each, opposites, NOT TWO OF EACH, and that's just the way it is. We are not to adjust, modify or change anything that the almighty created.

  • @pinkyush Innocent? Who is innocent? Man is born sinful, with a wicked deceitful heart. Man is lost and dead in trespasses and sins. We need the savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

  • @joeforHistruth I can only pity at your self-condemning thought that every person is born full of sin.Why did God create us full of sin and sickness... I don't find my self full of sin.I find my self to be a good righteous person with good intention towards fellow men. Of-course I get angry or frustrated when I see injustice ,but I am not sin-full!

  • Also I dont need anyone to save me. I am happy with one life that I have got and will live it without regret. I wont force my way of life into any one forcefully I will simply present my case as logically as I can.

  • @pinkyush God created the first man and woman without sin. They were tempted and fell into sin, so sin was passed to all people. Have you lied, lusted(adultrey in your heart), hated(murder in your heart), stolen, taken Gods name in vain? We all have broken Gods law(commandments), we all have sinned and fall short of Gods glory.

  • @joeforHistruth Yes I have lied.lusted.hated.stolen.and taken a lots of names (God or otherwise) in vain, but I have not hurt anyone on purpose. I don't shove my ideas down other peoples throat nor do I consider my way of life superior to some one else. I don't condemn other peoples lifestyle and say that they will burn in hell simply because a book that I read/follow advises (commands) against it. I dont pretend to know Gods will.

  • nd so my conscience does not allow me to condemn myself as a sinner. I like a lot of people, consider these emotions to be natural.I am not hungry of Gods Glory. If there is a god somewhere he/she/it will find me a lot more virtuous than a lot of religious folks that I know because I am not someone who thinks sins can be vicariously redeemed.

  • If god created me with capacity to think and doubt scripture and religious dogma , I posit that a just God will judge based on logical honesty and reasonable doubt not on ostentatious arrogance displayed by people like Osteen in the veil of politeness.

  • @pinkyush God will judge righteously, holy,, and perfectly. His standard is perfection, His commands we break, we fall short, we sin against Him. Does that concern you?

  • @pinkyush So by your own admission, you are a sinner. Should God let yo into heaven? Sin does hurt others. But most importantly you have sinned against a holy God, you have broken His standard, perfection. You have offended Him. I'm not shoving, I'm not superior or condemning. I'm telling you what God has said, that is truth and it doesn't change. If God is good and He is, He must judge sin. The question is, will you pay for your sin forever in hell or will you accept Gods Way?

  • @joeforHistruth In one sentence you state that you don't condemn and in another you threaten that that I will have to pay for my sin? Don't you find it double standards?.Stating that I misconstrued it as a threat wont do as a response. Also what makes you think that What is written in Bible is the Only word of God? You are free to believe what you want, I will never threaten you for where you stand.BTW If you were born in Middle east you would be saying the same thing about Quran.

  • If you were born in India Bhagawat Gita/veda and so on. And to offend god by very definition of God is not possible. A loving god will unconditionally love you.( I don't think there is anything like unconditional love but that is beside the point of this argument)

  • There must be a difference between an earthly dictator and a god. Do what I command or else you will burn in eternal hell, accept me or you will be banished. If you repent and bow before me and surrender yourself to me I will wrap you around my arms and forget you did anything wrong.Close your eyes and think without any presupposition. Do you think a SANE/just God will ever put forth such proposition?..

  • Please note I am having this discussion from first principles not based on any any scripture. And I ask the same from you. PS. I have no longing for heaven. I will live this life to the fullest. I don't behave and act ethically because I need some reward later or that some one from up-there is watching and taking note. That will be cheating. I used to do that when I was a kid. Not any more.

  • @pinkyush I'm telling you what God has said, I'm not condemning anyone. Take it as you wish. Jesus is a historical fact, He claimed and proved He is God in the flesh. He affirmed the Old Testament and He told the Father, Your word is truth. That word is contained in the bible. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me. There are no other words from God and no other ways/beleifs/religions that are true. It's Christ alone.

  • @pinkyush There are Christians all around the world, including the Middle East. Islam is yet another man made religion and therefore false.

  • @minaja14 That's a lie. There aren't any different degrees of sin. Sin is sin! If you're guilty of one you're guilty of them all.

  • No gays will be accepted into heaven. Idc what anyone says sin is sin and it's not going to be allowed into the kingdom.

  • @ryancoleman3 so the divorced who have remarried like Pastor John Hagee is going to hell. I bet that will be news to him. He is actively sinning is he not? By that same measure i hope you are proudly waiting for your judgment. As you have judge others so will your judgement come. I know the TRUTH "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Salvation is a gift given by God to whomever he chooses. You are not in that equation. Hate does not come from God.

  • joels sounds like his mic is muzzled

  • Joel Osteen can't stop smiling. I wouldn't be able to either if I had delusional Evangelical dullards lining my pockets with cash.

  • Comment removed

  • Joel Said JESUS is the way to heaven and He reveals himself in many ways to all people. Like one person may read the bible and find God, one might look at the stars and find God, someone might witness to them and find God. As long as they beleive in JESUS they found God. Hes talking about their EXPERIENCE how they found JESUS. You guys are gonna be very suprised when you get to heaven. If you belive Jesus died and rose again I'll see you in heaven.

  • I think that he means well...but he has always been a compromiser..Its called televangilism. Half of them cant preach the absolut truth period. HE WANTS TO BE NICE AS LONG AS PREACH CHRIST SOMEWHAT. PROBLEM IS JESUS OFFENDED FOLKS,HE SAYS IF U PREACH ME THE WORLD WILL HATE U BECAUSE THEY HATED ME..THESE GUYS WANNA PLEASE EVERYBODY AND KEEP CHRIST AT THE SAME TIME. THE TWO WON'T GO TOGETHER. ACCEPTING CHRIST WILL EMPOWER AN INDIVIDUAL TO NOT LIVE A HOMOSEXUAL LIFESTYLE, AND ALL SIN AINT THE SAME

  • "I believe" "I believe" "I believe" THAT'S ALL HE SAYS.

What about, "Well, Scripture SAYS...in Romans 1..."

  • @CaelahBeth agree

  • How come the media doesn't interview preachers that will tell the true word of god and preach against sin and not these false prophets

  • @superfreshbiltz Oh, Earth would be like heaven without the devil? Then why doesn't God just get rid of the devil and make him vanish into thin air, so we can all be happy?

Why wouldn't a benevolent god do this? Because he's either not benevolent, or he doesn't have the power to do it.... or he doesn't exist and the entire thing is made up.

    Which is more likely?

  • @ninjajesus81 There are things that I can't answer, that are for Him to answer. I'll tell you this though. This whole mess stems from the beginning. He could have stopped Adam and Eve from eating, but then, there would be no free will or choice, because He would be making the decision for them, not they themselves. Having no choice of free will? That's tyranny. And I'd bet God wasn't looking for that.

  • @superfreshbiltz So the only way God could have stopped Adam and Eve from sinning would be to directly force them not to? Why couldn't he disallow Satan in the garden of Eden? Wouldn't that have prevented it? Or does he have to allow Satan free will too?

  • Joel says, "I believe", which makes what he says his opinion, not absolute truth. That's a cowardly way out for a pastor.

  • Surgechecker18, we are not to judge. However, we must proof and reproof all things.

  • The devil has deceived the whole world, he mock GOD by corrupting his creations because we believe the lies he plants in our heads. If it is not of Truth is not of God. God made men and women, but the devil defiles the very thing that God created and abuse it. The only thing is, we suffer for it because of the choices we make, if we don't repent. The devil is already judged.

  • Christ is not the author of confusion; Joel needs to read Romans chapter 2. He needs to know the word of the living GOD if he is going to tell people about it. However, since he is not led by the Holy Spirit, he has no clue. Joel teaches the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and pride of life; all that separates us from our Savior and all demonic.

  • He has a point, if Jesus should right now are any of you without sin? No sin is greater than another. He is correct

  • @ninjajesus81 I think you don't want to know or you forget they are human. Like I said, as far as humanity goes, they were perfect, no ifs and buts about it. Unlike God, humans don't have all power and are fragile, so of course they could become imperfect. You take this perfection in a way that Adam and Eve are all powerful meaning nothing could ever corrupt them. Leave that area for God. Adam and Eve are humans, so yes, they can be influenced and the Devil knew that.

  • @superfreshbiltz This is really simple, so I don't know how you can't understand it.

Perfection means you can't do anything wrong. Adam and Eve did something wrong. Therefore they were not perfect.

Now what part of that is incorrect?

  • @ninjajesus81 It's not as simple as you make it. I gave you an analysis before. You make a vase for example, and in your eye it's perfect. Then someone comes to destroy said vase, making it imperfect. Make of that what you will, I guess.

  • @superfreshbiltz No, a more fitting analogy would be if you had a perfect vase, and then it fell apart, making it imperfect to begin with, otherwise it wouldn't have fell apart at all.

Adam and Eve voluntarily sinned. Eve may have been influenced by the devil, but Adam wasn't. He was just influenced by Eve.

Either way, that means they were both imperfect. If all it takes to make you imperfect is someone to tell you to do something wrong, and you do it, then you weren't perfect.

  • To all of you who want proof of God I dare you to one disprove His existence and two read the scriptures might want to start in Matthew. Lastly pray and ask Him to come into your life. What do you have to loose? You have everything to gain. I DARE YOU.

  • @kamicka23 So the Bible is divinely guided because the Bible says the Bible is divinely guided? Really? And that's your evidence?

  • Jesus did, and if that's not good enough for you, tough.

  • @surgechecker18 Very well said, surgechecker18. You know what I learned. Its so easy for us to look at the fault of others but when it comes to our own backyard, we are not as judgemental.

  • It almost seems as though he doesnt want to just come out and say that homosexuality is wrong. The bible says it iswrong and he claims that his sermons reflect what the bible teaches but he is hesitant. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  • @surgechecker18 Christians do judge and discern what a preacher or another Christian says. What Joel says is contrary to sound doctrine. His stance on homosexuals going to heaven is wrong. He never explained true saving faith and what that looks like. He also calls Mormons Christians. Love confronts error and damning lies with the truth. Because love rejoices with the truth. Hate cowers and leaves people believing lies instead of showing them the truth.

  • @BallerandRunner Joel is morew than a wimp, he is a false teacher, a deceiver.

  • @joeforHistruth You are right!!

  • Joel Osteen didnt sound to happy to have to admit Homosexuality is a sin, poor guy needs to not worry so much about offending people and losing all his money, and be proud to be a christian. He is a WIMP! lol

  • @SCOTTYBEE4JC Amen!! It is clear He dosen't want to offend. I thought the gospel was supposed to be offensive to a dark world. I guess not in Joel's world.

  • Homosexuals will not go to heaven, nor fornicators or liars, murderers etc....Those who have repented of these sins and by faith have trusted in Christ alone for their salvation will go to heaven.

  • @joeforHistruth Um hello, your faith unequivocally asserts that a homosexual can go to heaven if he accepts Jesus as his savior. A gay Christian if he keeps doing it and asks Jesus for forgiveness is still fine according to your faith. Anyway, Judaism makes more sense, or Islam, because God is not considered a "man".

  • @BallerandRunner Hello. That is not the gospel. Repentance of sin is what God commands, and then faith in Christ alone.Repentnace is a turning from sin to Christ as your sinn bearer, your payment for sin.Though it's not perfect, we don't live the same way we used to. Christ chamges us, gives the Holy Spirit, we are a new creation in Christ. There are no homosexual Christians, as is there are no fornicator Christians. We can fall into sin, but we don't live a lifestyle of that sin
