Ahh memories. I remember my older brother, who is now 17, writing a letter to Blue Peter when he was younger and they showed it and sent him a Blue Peter badge, which he still has.

these were the years of blue peter... but its finally starting to get back to being good again, if you watch it recently, its modern, smart, funky, has the original blue peter feel to it, but is not more relatable!

The last golden age. Those four presenters, along with the backroom staff, produced some of the finest Blue Peter ever. They obviously liked working together, and liked working on BP. Too often you have presenters who see it merely as a step up to 'grown up' telly (I'm looking in your direction, Salmon!).

Happily, they seem to be getting back on from now, Helen was a great choice for presenter. She's fantastic.

Why isn't Blue Peter as epic anymore? The stuff they did! The stuff we saw! OH MY GOD! I'm sorry, I know the new team are trying hard but if I were the editor I would add on a new female presenter so it's two girls and guys and so Helen doesn't feel left out. A new and more orchestral them tune and a bit more of a "classic" title sequence with the presenters on it! Oh well!

This music is simply amazing, it sounds brilliant with a full orchestra. The presenters at that time (Konnie, Simon, Matt and Liz) were just brilliant, they seemed to have the best chemistry as a team amongst all the recent presenters. And then there were those great "Quest"s, which they sadly seem to have stopped now. The new titles (Sep 08)...what?! OK, they're not as bad as the ones just previous to these, but still...and the music is almost non-existant with the talking that goes over it.
