Conf. championships is a moot comparison considering PSU has only been in the Big11 for 15 seasons. How many national titles has Michigan won since 1948? Only one, a shared one at that. How many outright national titles has psu had since 1982? One more than the self proclaimed Victors. How many undefeated seasons since 1968? PSU:5 UM: only 1. Iowa did suck this year, but they were beaten bad even for as much as they sucked. They were 6-6 this year, but were 4-4 Big Ten. The Wisconsin game was easily the biggest surprise.

I think Penn State's 2008 team will be like the 1996 team, likely not undefeated but playing in a BCS bowl, except we won't lose to Iowa and Ohio State, it'll likely be to Oregon State and a Wisconsin out for blood.

In 2005 you won because of dumb luck and the 2 extra seconds, in 2006 you struggled mightily to even move the ball against an unranked Penn State team and win by 7, in 2007 you run in a gift-wrapped touchdown from a fumble and win by 5 points. Yeah you really blew us off the field.

Last I checked in 1994, 1995, and 1996, Penn State had Michigan's number after a 1993 Michigan victory. Penn State finished at the top of the Big Ten in 1994 and near the top in 1996. 2002 and 2005 I'll consider illegitimate wins until the day I die, but it's already been recorded as wins for Michigan. 1997-2001 I'll say Michigan had Penn State's number big time (even though PSU was expected to win in 1997). But you have to admit the more recent games were a lot closer than some past ones were.

Penn State won those national titles playing a much tougher schedule than the big11. Educate yourself and look up "48-14" on youtube and you'll find a clip from an old psu / pitt game. When the video gets to psu's schedule pause it and examine it and if you deny that it was a tougher schedule than any team in the big ten plays you're not worth discussing college football with. I don't think nebraska, miami, notre dame, alabama and pitt were cupcake teams in the early 80's. Suck on that, faggott!
