  • This is the tune Cary Grant whistles in Mr Lucky - at quite a different pace!

  • minor correction-on video it has the songwriter's first names mixed up-should be Arthur Schwartz/Howard Dietz - if I wrote such a wonderful song I'd want them to get my name right:)

  • Extraordinary. One more example of musical perfection, with grace and charm.

  • Such a lovely voice.

For some reason, I am now unable to locate her version of Auf Wiederseh'n on You Tube. I hope someone else puts that one up again.

  • She's truely lovely!!!

  • Vera lynn is not an underrated singer. She was popular at her time in the early forties during the Blitz.. I'm from the Philippines and I was born after World War II but ive acquired some of her songs in cassette tapes even 40 years after the war. This woman is an icon.

  • Vera was the top of the heap back in 1945 give or take either side. What is happening is, with Youtube now the lone exception, you cannot easily find Vera or many others from those days in performance anywhere and only by the grace of God and youtube, do we have here here. I'd like to offer personal thanks to whomever uploaded these vids.

  • ...beautiful voice-beautiful music- so sad they don't make em' like this anymore- what a tragedy!

  • SOMETHING TO REMEMBER YOU by VERA LYNN. From "Three Is A Crowd".

  • I've never heard this singer until today, but I am in love. What a beautiful sound.

  • Like Angel lullaby ..

My heart melts when lady Vera sings..

  • Love Vera Lynn's voice, been a fan since late 70's when I purchased an old 45 record at a resale shop. A Blessing listening to her here and revisit her vocals on the many other recordings of her beautiful voice.

  • this is truly the voice of an angel

  • timeless song for all the miltary wives

  • A beautiful song,. Love listening to it.

  • this a gorgeous song

  • I love Vera LYNN! She is a very special person! God bless you Dame Vera! May you live a long and happy life! XXXXX

  • i love all her songs & her singing

  • Vera Lynn...How could you not be moved by her singing. She was a master of song> ! She sang from the heart..she sang her soul ..her true spirit and this is refreshing in today' s music market.

  • @pinkieldred this song remainds me the movies from disney from the 50's

  • Great singers like Dame Vera put the talents of the likes of Susan Boyle in perspective.

  • Good to see Dame Vera at number one in the UK album charts. Just need Gracie Fields to be up there with her!

  • why are you saying she's under-rated? Her career spans decades with many hit songs. She's a Dame of England, quoted by Pink Floyd, licensed by Stanley Kubrik. She's a legend.

  • perhaps littleharpy meant Dame Vera is not as well-known as she deserves to be in the twenty-something set?

  • WOW my name is Howard Dietz exactly spelled and i'm also a musician NO JOKE

  • A little songbird from Heaven! God had a reason for placing Vera Lynn here during the war years. It was His way of giving solace to the troops and the folks back home, and the wide world too even now today. Thanks RReady! ;- )

  • I'm only 21 but Vera has always been a singer that i have looked up to. Shes is one of the greatest out there!!!

shes is totally underrated, her voice is uplifting and soothing all at the same time.

I aspire to one day to be some where near as good as she is.

  • Hermosa. canción,

  • Wonderful song and beautiful voice!

  • I wish someone would post her record of Wish me Luck As You Wave me Goodbye. I just heard the Gracie Fields version.

  • I love this song and until now thought Dinah Shore's was the best; but my hat is off to you, Vera. With that catch in your throat and your unique sound you have made me a fan.

  • Thank you. She is such a blessing!

  • You're deeply welcome, friend...Vera may be the 20th Century's most under-rated singer.

    Kindest regards,

    -RR
