If you still haven't beaten Kingdom Hearts, the trick is to force yourself through the levels of repetitive combat untill you unlock and can travel to Maleficent's castle. This is where the story finally begins to change pace, gives you all of the major conflicts, as well as a huge plot twist that leads into the events of Kingdom Hearts 2, which has much more enjoyable fighting sequences, but dumbs down...basically everything else. Even the scripting which was already pretty shoddy in 1..

pete, comon the gta series, especially on the ps2, are great. i wouldn't personally reccomend vice city, but the other games like, san andreas, gta 3, and vice city stories, have amazing stories and r not just stories of thugs working their way up the to riches. I personally enjoyed vice city stories the most because of its colourful characters and beutiful story. just try one of them and you will be amazed by the plot twists and colourful characters.

On Kingdom Hearts, play through the story, beat Sephiroth, Ice Titan, and the Hades Cup, also if you can figure out how to beat Phantom do it. Don't forget Ultima Weapon. Then play eChain of Memories, PS2 remake.

Valkyrie Profile 2 was ok not great though...you needed alot of exp to build levels and you can't get all the characters in the game in 1 game I think. The battle system is great for VP2. Actually Eternal was the first game i was ever into for the Ps2...it's similar to King's Field, which is basically a 1st person rpg. As a matter of fact there are very few of them. They not easy to make imo, especially King's Field 4, where there is little to no loading.

OH!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Valkary profile 2 OMG DUDE! I'm a fellow rpg nut as yourself and that is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! It is much different from the other valkary profile games. The combat system is THE MOST inovative thing I've ever seen in my life. You must play that game. The only thing about it is you can get pretty far at a low level IF you know how to manuver which I did and got to the final boss. When I got to him he has a radial move and it took out everyone with one hit. Take your time.

Kingdom hearts is great Pete but you deffinetly have to release your inner 5 year old for the first one. The good thing about it is as the sequals came out the game started growing up with its audience. I will warn you though (although after seeing you room vid you prob dont need to worry) It becomes an obsession and having to switch between EVERY CONSOLE becomes exspensive. Regarless of what people may tell you their are no side story games in that series.

One word of advice. Tomb Raider Underworld is awesome to play on the Xbox 360 and on PS3, but on PS2 half the graphics are missing and it's real glitchy. The camera angles made me cry in pain. Not a game that should be made for ps 2.
