I would like to tell you that your math is horribly flawed. You said the surface area is increased by the power of 10. The measurements of a ordinary Oscar Meyers hot dogs are 5 inches long, quarter inch radius. The formula for surface area of a cylindrical object is SA = 2(pi)r*h and the surface area for that hot dog would be =2(pi)(.25)(5) which is = 5pi/2 or 7.85398 square inches. 7.85^10 is 893,097,376 square inches.
