@944Nima they may look perfectly fine to you, but they all suffer from less obvious disibilities. my boyfriend swims in this catagory and was in the IPCs; you can't tell there's anything wrong with him but he has osteogenesis imperfecta which can be very painful :/
@944Nima They do have physical disabilites, if you look closely, one athlete has one leg considerably thinner than the other and another has a slight scoliosis
@944Nima S10 Freestyle. S10 = mildest form of physical disability allowed to compete. Graham Edmunds ankle was destroyed in a motorcycle accident, Mike Van Der Zanden has spina bifida and Lucas Ludwig has congenital talipes equinovarus (clubfoot). Also look from around 0:32 and you'll see Andersen's right leg is significantly smaller than his left which affects strength. They do all have physical disabilities, the testing is fierce. They would not be there if they didn't.
@deehnufc truth is that some of those people really dont belong to paralympics. For example someone with broken ankle. IF someone will be studying how this affect their swimming during freestyle, butterfly, backstroke , will be found out that ¨nothing. Maybe on breastroke...but you dont see them swimming breastroke. It´s really not fair for those in their class which for example dont have leg under their knee. But obviously no one from those teams want to see this, they just want to have medals
The paralympcs include atheletes with physical disabilities and blindness. The special olympics include atheletes with intellecutal disabilities. There are many different categoies within the paralypics depending on level of mobility, visual impairment etc. Just becuase a person can stand and swim doesn't mean that they don't have a disability!
@944Nima I was wondering the exact same thing.. I guess the guys right they must have mental health problems but even so they cant be that bad to be doing that? .. I dunno but im a little with you, baffled.
@944Nima my mates in the paralympic gb squad and he is fucking immence and beats most able bodied people but he has mental health problems which is why he is in the disabled squad so they must be mentally disabled cus they are physically ok

There should be different categories for Paralympics, eg, one for mental disabilities, and another for physical difficulties..
