Wow. This is cool. Love the Beatles, and all takeoffs on the old NBC peacock. The music used for the penguin is from the kaleidoscope, or "Laramy" version of the peacock, which had its debut during an old episode of "Laramy".
They did indeed, 'kimberly'- especially the better to keep kids like yourself from seeing the top-rated "DAKTARI" and "THE RED SKELTON HOUR" opposite the movie on CBS for at least one night ["I DREAM OF JEANNIE" and "THE JERRY LEWIS SHOW" weren't doing that well in the ratings at the time].
I was 6 in 1967, so I don't remember this, but thank you so much!! I remember a into for Help! a few years later (Just clips) but this is a great treasure! This Beatle girl is very happy!
This "bumper", narrated by Mel Brandt, appeared only once, which introduced "NBC TUESDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES"' 'World Premiere' of "A Hard Day's Night" on October 24, 1967 [shown at an earlier time: 7:30-9:30pm(et)].
I wonder if NBC showed this in an earlier time slot so young people could watch it, I remember watching it all the way through when I was seven years old, and really enjoying it. I wonder if "A Hard Day's Night" has been released on DVD?
I was already a Beatles fan, my sister was the reason. She had bought 'She Loves You' and I ended up liking it. I got my first Beatles album (Beatles '65) for my sixth birthday. I MISS THE FAB FOUR.
I gotta admit, this is pretty funny

"Very special program...Lively black-and-white..."
This is absolutely hilarious. You can hear the drollness in Mel Brandt's delivery of this disclaimer. Well done.

I was five when A Hard Days Night premiered on TV, and it was one of the defining moments of my entire life! I still remember it vividly.

How cool that this even still exists for us to see! Thanks for posting it. :-)
(BTW, they sure wanted to make Ringo look like a woman, didn't they?)

@robotrix Rigo looked more like a cartoonish Pete Townshend.
