I really liked the New age family, not only was the women an awesome person but so was her husband, I thought he was pretty cool for being open minded to the christian lady, it showed alot when he agreed to have him and his family attend a church with the christian lady =P it pissed me off when she kept telling the new age mom how her hubby forced things on her when he did nothing but try to make the women feel welcome, she pretty much spat in his face -_-

The "christian" woman is simply a nutball and obviously has difficulty thinking for herself being raised to do as she was told - period. The "new ager" is another form of nutball. Although coming across as a lot nicer than the fire breathing hateful bible thumper, the new age lady lives a New England la la land life where "cool" rules the social circles. Personally, I wouldn't spend any serious time with either one.

Not only do I agree with you 100%, but I'm glad Jeanie got to help Brooke by allowing her to pick out the flower neckless to express herself (pretty neckless, too) and express herself through her dance. Positive reinforcement and praise for being a wonderful girl! The Ashley who sadly passed away, let her hypnotize her. She accepted her despite not feeling hypnotized. She saw no harm in it and took it, positively. The rest of the family should be the focus of true Christian behavior.

Southern Christianity is the most narrow-minded and hateful strain of Christianity I have ever witnessed.

I can vouge for that. I live in houston, and I can say 90% of the religiously and culturally intolerant people I meet are southern baptist. I am not saying all of them are, but almost everyone I meet that like like the "god warrior" were southern baptist and carried the same views that women.

see, I don't agree with you when you said (about the way they treated Brook, the 12 y/o girl) "that's not a christian way to do things"... being nice to people have nothing to do with religion or whatsoever. I personally know lots of christian women that goes to church more than once a week and they're mean, gossip, evil persons. And I know atheists who are very nice and good people.

well, in the Bible it does say treat others how you want to be treated. I try to do that, but that doesn't mean all Christians do. Gossips are considered back-biters and "haters of God". I see where you are coming from, I know people from many religious backgrounds, and I found that people are imperfect no matter what their belief system is. However, with some Christians I have observed "Holier than thou" behavior, which is something I would think God isn't fond of.

I'm a Thomasine Christian. We believe in studying other religions/schools of thought to understand where others are coming from. We value education and debate. It's ideas surround a guy named Thomas from the Bible. Do you know what a "Doubting Thomas" is? I know many good Atheists too, I count many as friends.
