yes, tom brokaw is the very essence of intelligence. LOL. you're kidding, right? why should i see him as anything other than a mouth-piece, a cheerleader? so, i repeat: why should i care what he has to say? and if you wish to respond again, don't bother putting 'you' in uppercase. it doesn't actually amount to saying something relevant even if it makes you feel like you might have. poor you.

@pablo4115 I'm very sane and what I am telling you is don't judge the guy because you think he's an elitist but judge the guy on the work he has done for NBC News over the last few decades. I've seen two documenarties he has made for NBC News, I've read one of his books and I am reading his brand new one, and I liked the piece he did on The War On Terror for Dateline earlier this summer.

dude, i didn't say you were insane. i don't go in for personal abuse. note: you included an uppercase 'YOU', which is equivalent to shouting. not good. but don't assume that that's the level i'm on. i just wanted reason to take seriously a 'newsman' who became a multi-millionaire by reading the news. it's not an unreasonable request. don't you think that someone's integrity gets tainted when they are that indebted to their employers? does't it speak to their motivation?

your previous post tells me nothing. i'm saying that when someone is supposedly in the business of spreading the truth but they get paid millions by a big corporation for appearing to do so, it makes me highly suspicious that i can trust them. so, allay my suspicions is all i'm saying. why do you trust someone who is being paid millions by a big corporation to tell you a particular story?

Brokaw is terribly missinformed about 2 things:

1. In Switzerland Mosques are not "verboten", only Minnarettes are.

2. In France muslim "headgear" (horrible expression) is allowed - burkas are no more allowed - currently only worn by about 1500 women.

When a journalist is that uninformed, just say "I don't know",

instead of "pardon me", buying himself time to make up something - 07:39

It's insulting to the public's intelligence!

Brokaw's time is long overdue.
