  • Yes, good observation. Blind spots on so many levels are possible, socially, intellectually, philosophically, morally. This is one of the great turning points in my life to have discovered some of my more blatant blind spots. But when we consider taking a certain course of action in life, many new potential blind spots open up.

  • Trouble with deadlines? Here are my motivational tips to help you get started:

    Stage 1: Tomorrow.

    Stage 2: Tomorrow - I mean it.

Stage 3: I'm about to get started.

Stage 4: The police are at the door.

  • Indeed.

  • so,you have two boyfriends on the go!....you little minx! ;)

  • If I think this is true, then clearly this is true. And if it is not, then clearly there's magic involved.

  • My YT handle is an open acknowledgement of my fallibility, though I know some take it as a throwdown. I've been surprised quite a few times - when you get caught out by your blind spot, it's at least a chance to see the prudence of a bit of humility. But as long as you have that humility & truly take the time to listen to your heart before proceeding, you s/ continue to stick your neck out, to have the courage of your convictions. Live w/out fear and just hope for the best on your blind spot.

  • Apostrophes can also show the omission of numbers as well as letters. At least they could back in the '70s...

(And Apostrophe is also a damn good Frank Zappa album.)

And I'm sending you a psychic Like Button click, since ratings are disabled... 'cause I always like your vids!

  • Thumbs up 

  • (2) its probably your voice. Thank you!

  • Great video, they really sooth my mind, and help me out just that little "bit"more.

  • Ah! EVIDENCE.

  • @vita9n

Yes, evidence....Again, if there is a subtext in this gossip and innuendo, it is lost on the accused if he or she is not allowed to see what's being said behind his or her back. So what's your point exactly?

  • I know it's just a human error, but I think it's worth mentioning that the end of the description has an innopropriate 'no': "we all have no blind spots". I'm sure it's nothing freudian lol, and if it is indeed illustrative of anything, it's that we do indeed all have blinspots. Just one more thing, don't you think it's a little bit silly and over-the-top to talk about a bunch of dislikes with terms like 'vicious' and 'hate fest'? Perhaps you take the little red thumbs a little too personally...

  • @commentmentor

Voting a video down is just the tip of the iceberg here, and anyone who has been targeted on Youtube knows that.

  • @2bsirius All the less reason to concern yourself about it then. ;)

  • (2) And the btw after reading your comment, I looked at my video description and did not see the error you said that you found there. I guess I could have made the N in "no" lower case, but otherwise I saw nothing, so could you tell me what you're talking about? Thanks.

  • @2bsirius It reads: "We all have *no* blind spots. Every single one of us."

  • @commentmentor

Yup, I had a blind spot when I was proofing my own writing. Thanks for the correction.

  • @2bsirius I like your video, yet I can not give it a thumbs up. Trolls like to upset sensitive and caring people who react to them. For them, it is an animal toying with its prey to find its vulnerability. Most trolls are children, and the others are childish or immature with little if anything to add to a conversation lacking experience or education. I view them as static in a social conglomerate still gaining clarity in a new world of public interaction via the Internet.

  • Oh, I cannot uprate, I already did not get that. Phooey. Well, I would have! Again, my best to you.

  • @slobomotion

    Thanks for trying

  • @2bsirius This continues to be a good channel and I am sorry you are getting hassled.

  • I don't think the metaphore works very well. For instance, I know I'm bad at putting my commas when I write in English. But that's something I'm aware of, I would never argue my punctuation with confidence of being correct. It seems to me, that the blind spots you mean are related to discussions, where you argue your side confidently without being sure to know the whole picture. Am I understanding your video correctly?

  • @wonderpope This video is about blind spots, & my example is a grammatical one. How can I respond to your comment? I have no idea what your point is. I know that there might be some odd subtext. I have no idea what it is, and since I do not know what you're talking about, I can't respond directly.

I do think that accusations might be made behind my back. If so, I'm obviously not privy to them. Would you like to make them to my face?

As for troll activity, yes, I have lots of it on my channel.

  • @2bsirius Sorry, my comment wasn't meant in to be aggressive in any way. I'm not a troll and I'm not trying to offend you. I probably misunderstood your video and read more into it, than you said. So, please don't worry, I do enjoy your videos.

  • I really have to take issue. In this video you say people are convinced that what we think is true, must be true, because it seems and looks true to us, which is a true enough statement concerning the majority of humanity. Then, in its description, you profess to know certain people's motivations for sure and suppose that they can't genuinely dislike your video (and its subtext). You appear to be flaunting some air of childish infallibility. Step out of your own blindspot and observe yourself.

  • @mendyfence

I am not "flaunting some air of childish infallibility" I'm commenting on what has happened consistently to a lot of people on YouTube, including me.

  • @2bsirius You seem to be 100% sure this is the case, do you have any evidence that this is what's happening to you? Assuming you haven't, and this is just what you think you know... it's almost as if you think this video must be somehow infallibly agreeable, and that it can't be genuinely disliked or disagreed with by another human being, without it being out of hatred, seems far out... and on top of this you present it as thruth... and don't appear to be open to other possibilities.

  • @mendyfence

No, it's my assumption from the evidence I've see. I'm perfectly willing to revise my thinking if I find reasons to.

Yes, it's valid to disagree with the idea that everyone has blind spots, but I think you'd be on thin ice. As I said, everyone has blind spots, and those who insist that they are infallible, are always right and have the one 'truth' are the ones who suffering from blind spots the most. Watch any fundamentalist for a while and you might come to the same conclusion.

  • This video was great and mystified me. The discussion on the law for example?

    Anyway thank you.

  • Good vid, 2b. We all have blindspots!

    Take care.

  • Thumbs up this way.

  • I have a friend in New Jersey who is always right about everything.

  • Yes, those trolls! Exactly why I don't make videos (and I don't have a camera). But I'm glad people like you continue to make them in spite of the trolls; your videos are usually very thought provoking.

  • Brilliant. Yes, absolutely. More apt than you could ever imagine. :)

  • @Loreleila

Yes, it really is apt, but probably not for the reason you think.

  • @carmel1119 I'm sure it's apt for the reasons I think and the ones you do too, or are you the only one with a handle on reality round here?

  • @Loreleila

No, that's your job. If it wasn't for the fact that you misuse apostrophe's, you'd be the very personification of perfection. :)

  • @carmel1119 What's perfection? Should there be an apostrophe there? I have no idea.

  • @Loreleila

Keep deluding yourself, doc...if you knew the whole story, you wouldn't be so cocksure of yourself.

  • @carmel1119 Why do you think I'm sure of anything? I'm saying I have no idea what perfection might look like. I'm sure it depends on preference. I can't see there's an absolute of it. I'm not sure why you've suddenly decided I need putting in my place. The irony is your statements suggest you're what you accuse me of being. I assume you know the whole story then? Please, enlighten us.

  • @Loreleila

    bleh, forget it.

  • @Loreleila The backstairs intrigues on YouTube is interesting. Since this exchange happened on my video comment section and seems to have nothing to do with the subject of my video --- blindspots and the use of apostrophes-- I would be interesting in why.

It would be interesting to know what's being said behind the back of the accused, but I guess that would spoil things somehow.

  • Oops

The backstairs intrigues on Youtube ARE interesting.
