Doesn't make much sense really. No one anywhere would try to suggest that in the time of Moses there were no Jews in Palestine. Moses was a Jew after all.
But he says "a few hundred years ago" rather than "a few thousand years ago." Was Moses still around in the year 1710?

You write a lot, though it seems you didn't read what I said. Most of what you said is irrelevant. Firstly there is a difference between the Palestinian Arabs and the Canaanites. But even disregarding that, yes Moses was the seed of Israel. So the term "Children of Israel" means the decedents of him. So yes the people of Judea are known as Jews, but by RACE. ie 'Jews' REGARDLESS OF RELIGION. This is far different that a Jew by RELIGION who is the decedent of a convert. And why bring up Hitler?
