Imconfused. Your children now qualify for medicaid 100% free healthcare for ANY family that makes less than 300% of poverty level. Thats 83,000 for people in NY. The problem is we can't afford to take on any more national debt. Our debt now is 100% of our GNP for 1 year. That's a number that's hard to recover from.

johnnorvaisas is drinking the kool aid too. Single Payer will cost 300 billion less per year than the existing system that doesn't cover everyone. The only ones who are against it are those with coverage now, and can still afford it. It's amazing how many I see fall through the cracks, they see their salary stay the same, while inflation goes up and premiums go way up. Then suddenly, boom, health insurance is a problem. You just repeat Fox news propaganda. You don't know the truth about it all.

So what is your answer, video creator? To demonize the only passable solution now to our health care problem. You say you are a 'have not'. You MUST have coverage now. I'm guessing at a job. What if you lost that coverage (lost the job, or they just stopped offering it) and you couldn't find coverage. Then you would be a have not in reality. I'm not talking about nanny states for freeloaders. Hard working Americans are being screwed by the health insurers, and you defend insurers? They are evil.

Respectfully I disagree... There is a saying "The fool learns from the wise man... and the wise man learns from the fool..." In the world forum such as this... all opinions count, and are indeed valid. Its not just the US citizens that are paying attention, the WORLD is paying attention to this issue. Just remember that the vast majority of personal bankruptcies in our nation are caused by medical debt and 75% of those americans who file bankruptcy over medical debt have medical insurance. Insurance is like a hospital gown, chances are your ass ain't covered. Your right to life ends at birth unless you are born wealthy enough to cover the costs of medical treatment.

My wife works in a doctors office.. she says that Meidicare seldom tells the doctors what they can or can not do...while the insurance companies interfere with care all the time. They have 3 full time people at her office that do nothing but argue with insurance companies. The Family Practice Docs WANT universal health care because they say that Medicare works better for both patient and doctor ...while the specialists that make millions (along with Insurance cos) are against a government plan.

Care is already rationed..Docs spend hours arguing with insurance companies on what they can and can not do.

Ask someone with cancer if their insurance is worth a damm. Many cancer patients (with insurance) still are financially ruined because the insurance is bogus.

My kids HAVE insurance and it cost them $5000 cash to have a baby!

We're the only industrialized country on the planet not to provide health care to they're citizens. We also have the most expensive health care costs in the world. This fact makes it way more expensive for any American company to compete, so jobs go overseas. Simple economics dude. You're repeating some bullshit made up by health insurance lobbyists so that you willingly pay for what the rest of the world gets for free.
