I can't imagine life without U2. I'm 37 and I've been listening to them since I was 11 back in the mid-80s. Meeting Bono was one of the most amazing moments of my life.
I was at this concert. My first time seeing them after loving them for 15 years before. Literally had tears streaming down my face. My buddy who I flew out to experience it with me got us front stage (long story), he just died which makes it that much more memorable. I never understood how people could get so emotional over a band until that day. Best part about it, 3 weeks later, an envelope came from some ppl I met at the concert, it was the full concert of U2 on DVD!
I have seen U2 twice btw, and I know it sounds corny but when that audience filed out, we were all still singing as we spilled into the city streets, singing, "40"- a gigantic crowd of us. no fighting, no violence or rioting, just singing, purely spontaneous. They are the best.
I love all you people!!!!! How nice to see a thread without haters and creeps just positive, appreciation and emotion and love for art!!!
And the lucky person who was there, you are so lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What people don't get is that THIS is the true spirituality in the world, its not God, its not the Bible, its pure music that moves the soul.
i was here!!! it was so amazing.

I was at this concert. It's unfortunate that the video can't do it justice. One of the most amazing nights of my life. And I'm 39.
