  • does that laser sensor type thing come with the kit?

  • @GMSamuelRhine Yes, it's the light sensor. It works in one of two modes, either reporting color (red, green, etc.) or brightness.

  • @jfedor oh great, never knew it worked that way when i'd play with them before

  • THANK YOU VER MUCH FOR YOUR IDEA!!!!!! we won first place in Estonia! THANKS AGAIN! here is this video -watch?v=DtkL667APRU

  • OMG! You guys who have LEGO Mindstorms are all SOOOOO LUCKY! I would kill to have one. :( I hope I get one! (If my dad says YES for the first time)

  • umm

    one question

do you think that putting the light sensor a few centimeters off the ground is better then a few millimeters?

coz i currently have a VERY similar design (different caterpillar wheels) and i put my sensor between the 2 motors

its doing pretty good, except the fact that it doesn't turn well sometimes and looses the line, or the light sensor just scans the line wrong

you think i should change the light sensor's positon's? and change the tracks to ruber tracks for beter tracktion?

  • oh yes i see :) thanks a lot !!!!!!!

  • @BomberTheBrown

  • hey

    that´s cool

do you give me the program guid, please?

    is it with NXT-G?

  • @BomberTheBrown The program is in NXC. I've added a link to a blog post that has the program and other info to the video's description.

  • @jfedor sorry where can i find the link?

do you can program it in nxt-g?

  • @BomberTheBrown Yes, you can do the same in NXT-G easily. It seems YouTube doesn't allow me to post URLs in comments (to prevent spam, presumably), but try the link in the video description (the box below the video, you have to press the arrow to expand it) and from my blog post there's a link to a similar robot that is programmed in NXT-G.
