This worked for me v=dov1ZufyYpM . Take a paper clip to the bottom of your flipcam their should be a small hole. Hold it down for about 30 secons or so. Then plug it in to your cpu. If that did not work. Then you can also try plunging it into your cpu and press down with the paper clip for about 30 seconds and it should work.
I have the 2nd gen model and it froze on with a fixed screen. I tried the 'hold the on button for 10 seconds' voila! It worked. I love you tube and the wealth if knowledge it provides!!!!! Thanks for all the posts!!
hi to fix it you must take off the two screws somwhere in the flip i forget where and then if you open it up you'll see a circuit board with four black screws you carfully unscrew those and you'll see the battery packet but do not lift the circuit board to high or else you'll break it then youll see on the back of the flip circuit board three metal things. rub them with some alchol and the battery packet. make sure everything touchhes then try to turn on if it tuns on ya! if it doesnt reset agia

Try this. Press that reset button in the tripod mount again for 5 seconds. Don't press any buttons after pressing it for 5 secs. also. Then, plug the Mino into your pc's USB port for 24 hours. Yes, twenty four hours or more. Make sure your pc/laptop does not hibernate or sleep. You should see some flashing light after about the first hour and then a solid light when it's fully charged. But, you should still wait the full 24 hours. Good luck.

I reset the Flip Mino with a paper clip by holding the reset switch with a paper clip for 5 seconds at the tripod mount and then held the power switch down for 5 seconds. I then plugged my Flip Mino into my computers high speed usb port and the Little white light flashed at the usb. This indicates the Flip Mino is charging. Wait about 30 min and you will see the charge ind.
