Brawl Gliding - Just how awesome is MetaKnight?

There are 2 ways to glide:

Easy way: Hold jump (NOT UP).

Hard way: In the air, mash left-right-left-right until you glide.

The hard way does not necessarily make you fly better.

@AwesomeHaxor99 There are three characters that can glide: Charizard, Pit and MK.

Charizard's glide is the worst, Pit's glide is decent and MK's glide is broken.

In Brawl, descending downwards increases the distance you can ascend. Charizard and Pit will eventually run out of upward distance, while Meta Knight's can simply go on forever. The distance regained by Meta Knight's glide exceeds the distance lost, making it superior compared to Pit's.

Well, that's kinda tricky. You have to press the diagonal pad buttons in a circular motion fast.

Up, right, down, left, and up again.

Don't waste all your jumps. As soon as you do your first flap, glide. Then, just in case you stop, you flap your wings back onto the stage. Then you can glide again with the up special. ; )

ya, stalling is a good and easy thing to do which is why stock battles are used for most actual important matches

You know whats funny, the only person who can kill meta knight is himself. All of his B moves leave him helpless for a while. Especially if you make even the smallest mess up in your gliding your screwed. But hes still my fave lol.

I also have a bonus clip(Not posted on youtube) whenever someone is using one of those bonus hammers, do MK's side B attack on the enemy. I think its called drill rush or something.. anyway I'm sure everyone knows about that already but still.

well all of his b moves can be used for a survival leaveing your oponent not knowing how you will come back to the stage. so i guess it cancles that out

You can do that hammer thing just by jumping off the stage and recovering back to it. The computers are stupid enough that they'll try and chase you off the map sometimes. But other than that, nice control over his gliding.

This helped me understand how to glide longer. I would always try to glide, but I stay in one angle for too long. I'm better at gliding now, but I haven't completely mastered it.

Gliding looks useful for avoiding some things like hammers.

There's 2 ways, after doing the second jump (which is used to release the wings) keep the X or Y button and he will start to glide, the trick is that before you can "fly" with the gliding move you're gonna need to go down a certain distance so you can move it freely, also is strongly recomended to move up and down to never lose "air" to keep gliding. PS When the amount of gotten "air" is huge, you can glide extremely fast without needing to move so much up and down, you will only need to tilt =p

The other is with the up B which gives a second glide because once you stop gliding you can't repeat pressing X or Y so you will need the up B for a second glide which will also go a bit higher, perfect for saving your "but" xD

I think as long as you fly downwards first, you can go at a very vertical angle going upwards, then downwards, etc.
