  • So...i wan't something to listen to the punk rock, metal, hardcore, rock, and classic music....can you help me?

    thanks a lot!

ohh.... also, i wan't to put it on a land rover discovery 2....so

    thanks a lot!!!

    jejeje

    GrEeat video!

    ;)

  • can a 2 channel run 2 speakers and a base

  • how many subs can mono amp and 5 channel amp run?

  • with the five channel amplifier can you run all 4speakers and 2 subwoofers or just 1 ?

  • @XxBUBBACTANKxX u shoudl be able to run 2 subs provided the subs are wired together. - to - and + to + then another wire off of either sub to the amp

  • i believe that is called running the subs in parallel, please someone correct me if im wrong

  • @XxBUBBACTANKxX just one sub and four speakers

  • Can you daisy chain other two other speakers on a two channel amp?

  • can i run a 2 channel amp off my 2 rear speaker wires into 2 subs leaving my front 2 in for highs and mediums and just taking the 2 back out

  • sorry for writing 2 comments

  • I need help. amps will not turn on in my car unless i bridge power from the power input to the remote input. And amps only seem to function when they are producing <150 watts of peak power. anything higher, and the amp will still turn on, but it wont send a signal to the sub. is it possible that i need to relocate my ground hookups? please help?

  • is it possible for the chassis of my car to "lose its ground"? amps wont turn on in my car unless i bridge power from the power input to the remote input, and only with a very low wattage...150 watts peak. anything higher and the amps will turn on, but no signal is sent to the subs, aside from a small thump every 5 seconds or so. help?

  • this guy needs his own youtube channel

  • Ive been looking for a video to help me understand amps for ages and now I know, thank you so much

  • help needed!!!!!!!!!!

i have a 1000w amp. when buying the subs for the amp do i go by the rms or by the peak power of the subs?

    need anwser ASAP..... thanks

  • @Heyshamtown thanks

  • @BADIRAGUATOLASIERRA Peak power is not talker about these days. Quality stuff doesnt even project anything esle than RMS.. Look into DD digital design, GZ ground Zero, SS Soundstream, learn about ohm paralel wireing and monoblock amps, thatll be a good start .banging is nothing if it doesnt bang down at 35 Hz.

  • @Brainiac83 how many subs can mono amp and 5 channel amp run?

  • Pause @ :27

  • @CodyFitzpatrick i dont get it

  • What about wiring 2 subs to a mono block? You should make a video on that.

  • anybody got any tips for installing a system into a 1989 mini ?

  • does anyone know if you can hook up front and back speakers and a subwoofer to a 6 channel amp?

  • how big in watts does my amp have to be

  • lets say i have two 12" inch subwoofer each 3000 watts..

  • @djlennondbm 3000 peak or rms?

  • @Truth619ful my bad...each is 1600 peak and 650 rms

  • @djlennondbm OK then I would say at least a 1000 watt amp to push two subs at 650 rms ( and that's still slightly underpowering them.) but to really push them i would look for a amp that puts out about 1200-1400 rms. Are they dual voice coil subs? 2 ohm or 4 ohm?

  • @Truth619ful Theyre Dual Voice Coil and it says 4ohm...

  • @djlennondbm Then choose a amp that gives you at least 1000 watts @ 1 ohm or at least 1000 @ 4 ohms. (depending on how you want it to sound)

  • @Truth619ful Ok Thank You Sir

  • OMG THE WARHORSE WOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Mario4Italy thats defiantly NOT the warhorse dumb fuck, warhorse is 1 channel lol thats a 5 channel

  • I like your VIDS and you've got the blue 30

Voice goin on ... I'm on them to

  • who uses four anymore, i have 12..

  • @hondaATV250 Yeah.

  • @hondaATV250

yeah, as long as it has enough power for both

  • hi i have two sterios with out harneses i havnt been able to get harnesses so i was told i was able to just hook it up with out a harness am i able to wire new wire straight to the probs on the bk of the sterio. how would i find power constant power and earth. please if u can help that will be great

  • @guvnuckle1

what type of radio do you have?

  • Ive ran 2 systems previously using a 2 channel amp for 4 speakers..... it can be done.. you just lose balance or fade, big deal.... I also had that 5 channel kicker and while it was great, it overheated way too easily and I had to add fans... not cool.

  • with the 5 channel amp, what if you want to run 4 speakers and 2 subs, not just 1 sub?

  • @xTarterx you can run 2 subs on one, but the power is split into two, such as if u have a 600 watt amp and two subs the subs will get 300 watts each and wont hit as hard as if one sub was getting all the power. Its due able but just depends on the out put of the amp and what the subs can handle.

  • @xTarterx Thats perfectly fine....

  • Havn't seen anyone on the comments mention Memphis Car Audio. Their Reference Series Amps kick out some serious juice.

  • why cant we have a person like you in my town. the audio place we have in town is dead because they dont do a good gob the mes it up so u can keep going back to them there rude etc.

  • Here in India, all the Auto Shops are deceptive, and they'll try to sell the Amplifier that is most lucrative for them irrespective of the power a sub can handle. Can't trust anyone, esp in chennai market.

  • (MB Quart DSC 1500.1D=$230)... (Alpine MRP-M500=$180).. .. (Orion HCCA-D1200=$215), (Kicker 08ZX500.1-$200) (SPL FX1-4000D=$240) which one should i buy, its too hard to decide when i havent heard each one!!!!

  • @mecca421 I would buy the kicker or the alpine they are both great amps but the

kicker has a 2 yr warranty & both amps really do the power they claim.

  • What kind of Amp do i need for 2 subs with 600 w each?

  • Does this store happen to have a website?

  • I have two 12" alpine type Es with 750 rms each, what would be the best amp for them?

  • @GuyWithBlueShorts get a amp that runs over 1500 watts i think.. im not sure if the brand amp has to be the same as the subwoofer and speakers?

  • @cchris214 It doesn't matter what brand of amp you use only that it is a true rating

on the subs power handling as well as the amps rating is true. It is best to try to stay

with name brand products such as kicker, mtx, alpine, kenwood, or even nicer amps

such as focal or mcintosh if you want the best. good luck

  • i have a 18" kicker 10,000 watt but idk what kind of amp to get . and im buying another sub and seeling this one becuase it older so should i get 1,2, or 4 om speaker

  • i hve a question i have a hifonics 1200w brutus that no longer has a warranty but i wish to get it fixed i have checked all the connections with a test light and the hifonics logo still glows however i have no power coming out of the channels.....can u possibly tell me what is wrong?

  • @sihkiddkasper more than likely the output stage of the amp is bad. I would suggest

contacting Hifonics & see if they have a repair department & if they do have them

fix it , but I am not sure if they are still in business, if not look on the internet I am sure

you can find someone to repair it just be careful I have had some bad internet

    experiences good luck

  • @sihkiddkasper another option would be to find a local electronics repair shop

get a bid if you think you can buy a newer amp for less money with a warranty

that may be your best bet, but I think Hifonics builds a pretty decent amp most of

the ones that I seen over the years were older models that customers just wanted

    us to install, good luck

  • I have a question I hope you can give me the best advice I have now 4 subwoofers jl audio w6 12 ", and I re audio subwoofers install 4 equal 12", you think is better than the jl audio re audio spl powers? ... if you like you can watch my videos

  • I love JL W6 I sold them when they first came out & then 4 more than 15 yrs most people don't know this but the reason

JL made a 6 ohm driver was because back then most amps

were only 4 ohm stable bridged so you could run 3 subs

& be safe instead of 2 they are a great spl woofer but are very tight & accurate sounding I built a system using 4 10"

w6's in my own truck & old ppi 600 watt amp & it railed so

hard & clean I now run the kicker L7's but JL is the only driver I would run that compares

  • please help me about Car Amplifiers for subwoofers and speakers, about how watt need a sub,4 speakers for Amplifiers!!please if everyone knows about it please help me

  • I would start with figuring out what your budget is to build your

system. if it is 500.00 then plan on adding a decent sub & amp

to your exist system inc prts & labor if it is 1000.00 plan on add

ing maybe a set of nice components for the front doors & maybe a 4 chan amp to run your sub & 2 or 4 spkrs the only

problem your going to run in to if you try to run 4 spkrs is

you will loose fading capability front to rear if your budget

is 1500.00 you could build a really nice system inc new

    deck &

  • nicer components, maybe another amp or more power for bass amp nicer sub

or subs custom enclosure or any variation you want ,keep in

mind that these are just suggestions but if your going to

build your system with name brand equip these suggestions should give you a good starting point

  • I now know what trolling is. lol

Dude, just shut up please. If people want your advice thn they'll ask you for it.

I understood what you meant the first time.

I should have not said "crossovers" because what I meant was the physical limitations of the speakers creates "sweet-spots" and act like crossovers.

There aren't any capacitors or inductors on the circut.

But it doesn't even have any relavance now because this setup is long gone.

  • @ansonx10

    ;-)

Mine too.. well in the van...

But speakers in themselves... do NOT create sweetspots...... I'll send U a direct message.. - don't need any more "FIRES" here eh?

  • when i talk about a 2 channel amp being for 2 speakers it is

because you can hook up as many speakers as you want as

long as you don't go below the impedance the amp is designed to run at but lets say you want to run all the speakers

in the front & back of your car with a 2 channel amp the only problem is that your going to loose the ability to fade

front to rear me personally I like to be able to fade & also

I like to run a higher X over frequency on my rear speakers

  • LET EVERYONE OF US...

Sincerely hope @eXShortyXx actually has everything in their favour

Two 100 watt 4 ohm spkrs, one 10 inch 400 watt woofer- (with 4 ohm DUAL coils) & a 2ch AMP of 600 watt (rated 4ohm per ch)

If each OUTPUT chl is "fitted" with 2way crossovers...

Such that each LOWPASS cuircuit feeds one Subwoofer coil each- & each High Pass- feeds ONE normal range speaker

    That then will be...

    The "best_case" scenario

    An Impedance_Matched system

    (at all volume settings)

  • But...

    @eXShortyXx

DO NOT SAY - that I am being facitious ...

U did NOT give any "impedance" info (nor amp STATS worth a knob of goat shyte.?)

Thus.. ANY calculation - done by "anyone"?

MUST BE ASSUMED AS BEING - OF THE WORST CASE SCENARIO...

  • @eXShortyXx

    If U used a 2ch PA style (100v Line_Out) - High_Impedance Low_Current Amp

    With 2 dual_coil 4ohm speakers of 2ohm parralleled LOAD each & a 4ohm dual_coiled 10 woofer (also a 2ohm parralleled load)

    With all 3 parralleled wired...

    That's-? 0 point 66 ohm.!

    Connected to a 100v (high_impedance) "low_current_rated" Amp?

    Thus efectively Short_Cuicuiting" it's output..?

    BANG - one 4kd AMP

    & Still no sound.

  • IMPEDANCE MATCHING - is FAR more important to an AMPS performance & RATED power output

    THAN ANY OTHER FACTOR.

Amp_Manufacturers "give" stats for EACH impedance loading (POWER_RATING) & are thus designed to give their specified POWER rating

    ONLY AT EXACT (specified) Ohm_Loadings.

Thus the "final" connected load AT THE AMPS TERMINALS- is all that matters

In order to achieve perfection - ONLY the "exact" impedance matching works

    Diviation quad_decreases power & 4x increases current

  • Don't Ya all love that store boy.. workin behind the guy?

Wow He's got such a busted R'sd expression on his face... I'm sure He does wonders for attracting customers (not)

HEY smile U nitwit... ur on Utah's candid camera...

  • @eHow

Well- i think it's FAIRLY obvious to most people by now... that YOU are the manager of innovative car Audio - in some backwater town - "lost' deep in the U_TAR deserts of America... Someone whom knows sweet 4k all about ANY stereo system - ?

But is desperately grabbing at straws- tryin to drumb up some business on youtube?

As I've actually PROVEN that any 2 chl AMP can DIRECTLY drive MORE than 25 speakers .. over at least NINE main chls(via 44yrs PLUS knowledge in this feild)

  • I do have to agree. On a rockford fosgate T-1000 4 channel. You can run over 48 mids and hi's at a one ohm load. And still be over the rated rms per mid and hi. (3 years knowledge... I learn fast.)

  • can you connect 2 speakers and 1 woofer of 10 inch that has 400 watts?

to a 2 channel amp? that is the pioneer GM-5400T

  • @eXShortyXx So? Mixing stones with apples & paint... What resultant balloon would U like? (?) re:- 2 speakers and one 10 inch woofer of 400 watts? to a 2 channel amp? Does NOT matter who MADE IT? As U give NOTHING that can be used to "calculate" Ur final terminated LOADING. Ok... lets say ? TWO 100v PA line_fed speakers ONE (electric Organ) 400watt 10inch 16ohm speaker From a 2ch amp for 4ohm loads ONLY. Wire ALL speakers in series Ur ohm LOAD would be ? like 800ohms?
  • & thus the POWER output (RATIO) from the AMP - would be? 4ohms divided by 800ohms ?

The POWER DECREASE ratio would be ....

    JUST 5 / 1,000 th's

Of the RATED power "output" of the amp -Thus needless to say - U'd HEAR SFA (from any speaker)

  • @eXShortyXx

If you know how to use coil and capacitors and your amp is "tri-mode" then yes.. My current setup is monoblock running 2 subs @ 2ohms.. and an old school kac-927 2 channel running all four door speakers.. The amp impedence is most important as some stated because mine is 2ohm STEREO stable I can do this.. Some mistake the 2ohm STEREO stable for allowing them to use a 2ohm load briged which is a N-no

  • There is no way to wire 4 speakers to a 2 channel amp.

  • Then how am I doing it? lol

I've hooked 2 mids and 2 highs (with crossovers) to a 2 ch amp in series, thus raising the ohms. Helps the amp last longer and I don't need as much power as is can give.

You don't want to hook them up in parallel unless you're sure that the amp an handle the ohm load that you're creating.

  • @ansonx10 ?

If you USED those two crossovers as stated- THEN thay are in series... NOT PARRALLEL

BUT - if you realy wanted - (you could have simply "abused all four speakers by incorrectly "frequency driving them - by utilising the crossovers in SERIES - to create a finite (tiny range) BAND PASS filter.. with VERY limited output - and stuff all power - when trying to RUN "mids" via tweeter power ratings)

CROSSOVER adds impedance resistance AUTOMATICALLY (used normally in PARRALEL)

  • @QUIX4U Oops - I got the 1st bit muddled.. Crossovers work - as parrallel circuits sorry.. the LOW frequency (coiled)circuit path - goes to the mid, lows & the Capacitated cuircuit PARALLEL feeds the Highs tweeters.. (BUT becuase each id=s inherantly "segregated from the other - these two PARRALLEL paths - RAISE the impedance levels - back "UP" to where they still perform to allow the amp - to STILL SEE onlty a bog_std ONE_SPEAKER - with the correct impedance "LOADING"

  • @ansonx10

    To explain myself better...

When one drives crossovers in series... one feeds the capacitor in reverse - to then also path the current "BACK" through the coil - before going into Ur speaker

    ?

Or in Ur case - two speakers...

    ?

Either parralleled themselves (half Ohmed) or series (double ohmed) with either method INCORRECT - which thus creates a FINITE mid_range "bandpass" and a completely missmatched impedance loading

  • @gamefreak41990 Speaking from the gamers backseat_area no doubt?

Well you maybe NOT intelligent enough to utilise Ohms Laws... but ANYONE with a glimmer of grey mush in their heads - knows otherwise.

    TRY "this"

    25 speakers 7main, 3subs & a central supersub. neons, LEDs & filament lamps - from ONE 300watt amp - at over 126.6dB
