Bring what is essentially a small piece of a star to Earth, even for a few seconds, adn you will get some interesting results. It's a shame that we seem to damned intent on destroying ourselves, I can see a nuclear holocaust as a plausable apocalypse scenario, because as good as we are at coming up with new technologies we aren't too adept at thinking of the consequences of using them.
to true...to true, what happens between wars can be as dangerous as war itself sometimes...out history has proven that humans are a very curious species and will do almost anything (although sometime extremely unnecessary and dangerous) for the pursuit of intelligence...and sometime humanity can forget that they are in fact, only human...but these sacrifices provided us with great knowledge and understanding of this fairly still new science...i pray these are never used in warfare.
