Yeah. Rappers used to be able to construct a sentence with coherent, multiple syllable words that were in context with each other. Yes, I just used words.
Wow who remembers A-Hats???? Thats what Phife is wearing on his head! 555 soul started out making those hats too and branched out to actual clothes. I think 555 soul came out first though followed by A-Hat. And now you know.......
man much respect from 88 until 97 98 for real.todays studio ganstas are makeing money but they are not saying anything.back then every rapper sound different and u could spin ur whole tape or cd none stop......todyas so called hip hop is DEAD..
don't even know where to start with that comment. Sounds like you have listened to a few throwbacks and compare them. You have to do what people back then used to say and "dig in the crates"
Back then, there were way more emcees and songs to play. It is not like todays few 3 or 4 that dominate pseudo hip hop.
I always see people saying that pop music is shittier these days and rap is the same or better. This song just proves that rap is far from the same. I guess all music was good in the 90's.
fuck yeah im from the 90's.. i dont hear shit like this anymore, WTF happends since 2000.... looks like you just need a talkbox and some emo producer to be good this days.
Amazing how the brain stores info. I can go 4 years without hearing this song or thinking of it. All of a sudden I hear it and I can rap along to it :-)
