@thecrusades2 St. Patrick was from Ireland as were the Scots originally! The Scots went to northern Britain where the Picts were and conquered it. The Protestant English used Protestant Scots to colonize northern Ireland to hold it down for the crown, since the Irish were Catholic. And my forebears were particularly northern Ireland Scots-Irish. They're both Celts.

I`m still not sure why in both the US and Canada, St.Patricks Day parades are celebrated with marching Scots Pipe and Drum bands ?
