This film really does rank alongside Beaches and Steel Magnolias for devastating endings; I know they all finish on a note of hope, but they are so painful to watch and I cannot do so without crying like a girl. I both love and hate films that do that to me; hate them for making look like a wally, but love the fact that they confirm I am still a human being with human feelings and that is so precious to know.

Love the movie. Whoopi Goldberg and Drew Barrymore are one of my favorite actresses but  Mary-Louise Parker's acting was special here!

The entire Cast of this movie was awesome, and I think Mary-Louise Parker should have received a Golden Globe and OSCAR for Her portrayal of Robin in this movie, or atleast been nominated... ...and Whoopi was totally amazing in the movie as well as showing Us that She is also a very gifted Songstress...

Whoopi is one of the most unbelievlby underated people in the world yet she shines beautifuly, Just her presence, let alone her voice is fantastic to watch and listen too.

Im not sure anyone could verbily state how powerful this stunning woman is without using such words like i have, shes beautiful inside as well as out, fantasticlly funnny, and amusing on so many levels... I just hope she gets the reconision she deserves for many many years to come.

I'm a guy and I couldn't hold back the tears during this part of the movie ...what a beautiful, haunting, tearjerking scene. The way Whoopi sang this song communicated her character's emotions so powerfully I was blown away. A lot of us think we could act given the chance, but this level of skill is a whole different level ...amazing job, Whoopi!
