If God created Adam on the sixth day and there were trees and such any reasonable scientist would say that Adam was a grown male and a few decades old. They would cut a grown tree and see there were many rings and they would count the years to determine the age. But if you believe that God created all things then you would know that Adam and the trees were just a day old.
What does the atom, the flu virus and other non-related topics have to do with determining the age of the earth? @Barcs the creationist theory proposes that the waters of the Noachian flood did not come solely from rain but rather that the majority was stored beneath the earth's surface and erupted to the surface when the "fountains of the deep" broke open. They point to the evidence of deep hydrothermal vents at the bottom of the oceans that are still currently pumping out hot water.
@Dporebski20 "creationist theory proposes that the waters of the Noachian flood did not come solely from rain but .. the majority was stored beneath the earth's surface "
Nope that is not aTheory. It just a cockamamie idea. To be a theory you have to show that there is some evidence that points to enough water being buried under the surface of the Earth that could come to the surface and cover everything. Scientific theories requires evidence and an explanation to fit the facts. You have none.
@mtbee9 Did you not fully read my comment before deciding that this idea is "cockamamie" whatever the hell that means? Scientific studies have validated the existence of deep sea hydrothermal vents currently shooting out thousands of gallons of water everyday and they haven't stopped either. There is plenty of water still beneath the earth. The idea that it rained on the rocks for millions of years (which is really what the books say!) and created great oceans sounds a lot dumber to me.
@Dporebski20 "Scientific studies have validated the existence of deep sea hydrothermal vents currently shooting out thousands of gallons of water everyday"
Yes and if you studied the geology you would know where those thousands of gallons came from. But I won't spoil your research into the answer by telling you. it's not an endless supply.
"rained on the rocks for millions of years " yes - have you never heard of the hydrologic cycle. Oh and the water came from comets! Try reading some science!
@mtbee9 I do read a lot of science. I have a degree in biology pre-med and I understand the hydrologic cycle. I'm not even saying I believe in what creationists say but I understand what their argument is. I understand both sides and on some issues one makes more sense than the other, whether or not it really is true. I've heard of the hydrologic cycle but that only moves water from clouds to the surface of earth and back into oceans. It does not explain where vast oceans came from.
@Dporebski20 "It does not explain where vast oceans came from." Exactly my point. There is not enough water in or on the Earth to create a flood to cover everything. Therefore the bible story of Noah is fiction!
When the religions can show scientifically that there was once a lot more water to cover the earth, where it came from and where it went to then there may be a discussion on the merits of if a global flood could have happened. Then they need evidence that it actually did occur!
@mtbee9 You have a good point but have u considered the possibility that nobody knows how much water was on the earth in the past? We don't know how many comets supposedly bombarded the earth early in its history/formation. However, we do know the amount of water on earth today and if you look it up, the oceans could cover the entire land masses of earth over one mile deep if the majority of large mountains were smoothed out and valleys were brought up.
@mtbee9 And I'm just curious. Why couldn't all of the millions of fossils of dead organisms laid down in fossil graveyards be considered as evidence of a flood? Fossils don't just form anywhere and for any reason. There has to be specific conditions for a fossil to form and most of the best preserved fossils that we have are of organisms buried by sediment in moving water. Why isn't this given consideration as potential "evidence" for a global flood? Is it not plain to see?
@Dporebski20 " a global flood? Is it not plain to see?"
Definitely no. You are correct in how fossils usually form - in sediments of lakes or rivers where animals can be covered quickly and protected from erosion, decay and scavenging. However this has happened continuously over 500 MY and not in one single occurrence.
There is also no geological evidence for a single flood event and nothing from 6000 years ago.
@mtbee9 In addition, the hydrologic cycle "cycles" water that already exists on earth. It doesn't create oceans. Also, I've heard of comets containing water and that is a fact, but for the comets to provide the amount of water found in the billions of gallons of earth's bodies of water is a silly idea. How many comets would have to hit the earth to provide that much water? A lot more than we have evidence ever even hit the earth. I'm not attacking ur beliefs mtbee9, I'm simply challenging them.
@Dporebski20 "How many comets would have to hit the earth to provide that much water"
Probably quite a lot - but then we have had billions of years for this to happen. Also there is thought to have been a period of 'heavy bombardment' when there were a lot more comets and meteors around earlier in the forming of the Solar system.
It is also possible that not all the water came from comets.
There is no evidence of the amount of water needed to cover the Earth 6000 years ago.
@mtbee9 Obviously the earth didn't always have large mountains. It's been shifting about for a while now and Mt. Everest may not have existed according to Creationist's ideas. The talk about comets is nice and all and it makes sense but where is the evidence that a "heavy bombardment" occurred? U said "it is thought" to have occurred. Was it just thought because it makes sense or is there actual empirical proof of its occurrence? I'm just trying to learn here, not supporting any particular idea.
@Dporebski20 "proof of its occurrence?" I am not an astrophysicist and have not researched the evidence for the heavy bombardment but I think it is based on the knowledge of how solar systems form and the 'debris' that is around the sun that forms the planets. This would leave many objects that would collide with the planets and this would decrease over time as they are used up. Look up Heavy bombardment.
@ColostomyCake Dude, they just boggle my mind. They come on here and make incredibly ignorant comments... they are on the internet and could look this stuff up in less than 10 seconds and save themselves the trouble of sounding like an idiot. ::facepalm::
@ColostomyCake Okay, my bad. I'll give you the atom being used in attempting to radioactively determine the age of the earth, but the existence of the flu virus has absolutely nothing to do with it. I still don't understand why people like u have to resort to name calling. Instead of explaining ur viewpoint, u resort to ad hominem attacks, which is incredibly childish. I suggest u grab a Tylenol if ur head hurts. As for the comment, Merry Christmas to you too. You sound like such a nice person.
so all the people bashing christianity.. how did we get here genuises. This universe is so complex there is no way it happened by chance but by a creator.
We don't know yet. Scientists are honest enough to recognize and admit this. Creationists say that an invisible, magical sky wizard made things "Poof!" into existence.
@garbear2321 By the way, each time you comment on this video, you increase both the views count and the comments count. This causes the video to appear more often in search engine results and suggested videos on the right side of the screen.
@garbear2321 "This universe is so complex there is no way it happened by chance but by a creator."
If we don't know something it is far better to say so than just make up something for which you have not a shred of evidence, just because you have a personal wish for something bigger than yourself.
science is always coming up with evidence..when will creationism come up with some? how can there be soo many close minded people in the world..how can people still believe in this day and age that there was a creator and all the fairy tales in the bible..!!
Jesus Christ, if the son of God, must be the most evil man ever to be born. Without any miracles, he had it in his power, being Gods Son and knowing everything, to save millions of children with just a few words. "Please wash your hands after using the lavatory" Or "Boil contaminated water before drinking it because it contains dangerous bacteria." Jesus must be responsible for far more deaths than Hitler or Stalin. His holding back such knowledge is a crime against humanity.
Why do these morons have so much difficulty with accepting evolution? It IS an undisputed fact. I'm not religious, but if I were, I would think that evolution would actually make god as the creator seem much more plausible, and also much more miraculous than that old 6 day silly creation story.
praise be to the poop tossing monkey! glory be to the name of the smelly buttlicker that shall clean anothers ass with its mouth!...we MUST praise the almighty invisible missing link, missing information and all of the glowing inconsistencies involved in our religeon! as an athiest, i want to thank santa, the easter bunny, tooth fairy, alah, and i bow to the worship of the missing "monkeyman skull fragment i need to prove evolution! holy be the MM's name! blessed be the turd tosser!
To add to that, where does rain come from? It comes from evaporated WATER from earth. To say it suddenly rained for 40 days and rose the oceans higher than mt Everest is beyond absurd. Where did all that extra water come from, and where did it go? It's not like rain actually makes more water than there already was. Basic science 101.
@Barcs the extra water came from under the ground and you assume that there was Mt Everest before the flood. Basic science 101? buahaha you mean Basic assumptions 101
@ProMajtas It's pretty obvious that you do not even have a basic understanding of science. Science can be experimented, repeated and is falsifiable. We know the rate that mountains form, they do not just form overnight. Can you prove that water in that quantity exists under the ground or is it another guess, like your fairy tale book? Why don't you actually do some reading on the subject? The "great flood" obviously refers to the end of the last ice age, when the ocean levels rose.
@Barcs oh I did my reading an you should watch kent hovind's seminar on the flood because you are blind of the obvious. and besides that you said that science is something that can be experimented and observed and for once you are right, now show me an observation of a monkey giving birth to a human.
@ProMajtas " a monkey giving birth to a human." Yet one more dumb creationist who doesn't understand Evolution. You guys crack me up. You don't have a clue about something and all you want to do is belittle real evidence and knowledge in favor of charlatans and hucksters.
Oh and there is NO evidence of a global flood - ever!
@mtbee9 it is documented that these sea shells were found on the top of everest, but they were closed. They were buried alive. WHen clams die they open
@mtbee9 so explain them having a diameter of at least 3 feet explain bugs' fossils being so big our atmosphere wouldn't support animals that big, also dinosaurs wouldn't live in today's atmosphere due to low amount of oxygen and lower atmospheric pressure. it's common sense that bigger animals need more oxygen And what about the hundreds of fossilized trees standing up through many layers of rock that kids is evidence the geologic column is a bunch of crap. try using common sense learn something
@ProMajtas "bugs' fossils being so big our atmosphere wouldn't support" There was a lot more oxygen in the atmosphere when bugs were large.
"fossilized trees standing up through many layers of rock" Yep the layers were laid down in quick succession in that case and accounts for a small period of time.
"try using common sense learn something" Well seeing as how you have fallen for a bunch of creationist lies it would behoove you to study the real evidence and not accept lies as truth.
@ProMajtas " that .. is evidence the geologic column is a bunch of crap" As the geological column is accepted by ALL Geologists you're going to need an awful lot of real hard evidence to disprove it. The basics of Geology continues to be reconfirmed and there is no alternative yet presented that matches the facts.
Same goes for Evolution. DO you have a better Theory that matches ALL the evidence - Nobel prize for you if you do.
@mtbee9 Here is HARD evidence that geologic column is a bunch of crap. There are petrified trees found all over the world buried in vertical position. Were they buried or did they stand there for millions of years? No they would root.
@ProMajtas "petrified trees found all over the world buried in vertical position" Nope sorry only a few examples exist standing up surrounded by other layers of sediment. Many are lying down and were buried in volcanic ash which helped preserve them. The specimens standing upright were probably fossilized in volcanic ash which later eroded away leaving the resultant fossilized trees vertical, subsequent mud and other sediments later filled in around them giving the result.
@mtbee9 You have ill source of information. There are immense amounts of examples of petrified trees buried vertically. You should find out what petrified means. It it would be preserved by ash they wouldnt be petrified because you need water for that effect.
@ndrthrdr1 well I agree "It doesn't take millions of years for the trees to be buried in volcanic ash, or on flood plains." you just agreed with me that geological column is a bunch of crap.
becouse if it was true those trees had no way to be there but instead during the flood they were buried there so face it you have no proof for evolution.
@ProMajtas The fossilized trees weren't fossilized when they were buried. They were buried in sediment, then fossilized as the sediment very gradually became compacted and transformed into rock. What's confusing about this?
Nothing exploded? That comment clearly shows that you don't understand the scientific theory concerning the Big Bang. It was a rapid expansion of existing energy/matter. Something magically appearing from nothing is what creationists believe.
@ndrthrdr1 did that tree stand there in sediment vertically for milions of years? no
Yes we believe that something can appear from nothing with the will of God. The problem is science should be supported and Big Bang can't. Because it never happend
@ProMajtas That tree only has to remain vertical as sufficient sediment accumulates to keep it vertical, not for millions of years.
The Big Bang is supported by background radiation predicted by the theory, THEN discovered, and by our still-expanding universe. Maybe virtually all Physicists, Astronomers, Cosmologists, Geologists, etc. are wrong, and a few desperate cult members are right.
@ProMajtas On the "day of my judgement", I'll be dead. My brain will no longer function, and I will no longer exist. Same for you, no matter how hard you try to avoid this obvious fact.
The difference will be that during the one life we each get, you will have wasted a large part of it on magical thinking. I will have lived a reality-based life in the real world.
@ndrthrdr1 ok don't accept the abvious, like the world or just one single cell organism like amoeba is astronomicaly complex and it could never have come together by blind chance. but yeah that doesn't count does it?
@ProMajtas "one single cell organism like amoeba is astronomicaly complex" Well not astronomically complex but even so that is not the simplest cell is it. You can't look at a complex single celled organism today and think that was the first life. No wonder you creationists have trouble with evolution your stuck on complex things suddenly appearing which is not what evolution says.
@ProMajtas "so please tell me what first cell looked like." We don't know yet. That is what is so intriguing about the challenge of working out how life began. There are already a few plausible ideas being researched.
@mtbee9 there is no such thing as a simple cell. THere would be no way for it to evolve because according to evolutionists earth was 80% tixic for live. You give a cell literary perfect place to live with with perfect acidity level, than try to pncture the membrane All the cell parts in it will flow out There is no way for them to go back. SO what makes you think that they evolved atomatically forming the membrane?
@ProMajtas "there is no such thing as a simple cell" And you know this how?
The important thing about that first 'cell' is the ability to replicate. We don't know the exact conditions on Earth 3.5 BY ago and we don't know if it was enclosed in a membrane that may have evolved later.
Because we don't yet know the exact mechanism of how life got started does not mean that 'god did it'. If you say it couldn't happen then you need more that guesswork as to why not and a good answer to how it did.
@mtbee9 so the first cell was just chemicals not bound by any membrane that were set appart by any wave? of you have absolutly ZERO evidance for how life started why is it considered as fact and tought in schools. and if evolution is true how did all the Symbiotic Relationships start? when one animal is dependant on another to survive? like symbiosis between termites and their intestinal protozoa? did it just start randomly and after Milions of years they couldnt live without each other?
@ProMajtas All the evidence points to life developing from the chemicals that existed on Earth Billions of years ago. Excluding magic there is no other alternative so it is taught in schools as that is the accepted origin of life. (I'm excluding Panspermia here as that just moves the problem.)
As for symbiosis, this evolved over time as plants and insects and other animals gradually became reliant on each other - usually a dead end process for if a host plant dies out the dependents die too.
@mtbee9 so a cell came together by few chemicals comming togerher by chance? do you know how complex a single cell is, do you know how complex a single strand of dna is? and you say i belive in magic, haha "All the evidence points to life developing from the chemicals that existed on Earth Billions of years ago" if you are takling about that experiment by Lazzaro Spallanzani, his experiment created few amino acids and 70% of tar so if you would create life you would kill it simultaneously.
@ndrthrdr1 it's quite sad how much you believe a THEORY which is based mostly on outdated information. I believe we came from a wizard, well you believe we came from nothing. a single cell organism like amoeba is astronomically complicated. if you believe it came together by a bunch of chemical that got together than i don't know what to tell you.
and evolution teaches natural selection can actually create something, like a leg in a fish, yet nobody yet proved that mutations can create new info
There was no worldwide flood. Not only is it unrealistic, but most life on earth would have died. Guess what happened about 10,000 years ago? This funny thing called the ice age ended and there was flooding ALL OVER THE PLACE. Could that possibly be the origin of all the flood myths? It wasn't one single giant flood. It was several small ones. Anyone who still denies science after it's been proven and used to make everyone's lives better, is retarded. If you got a better theory, post it.
I almost feel sorry for the poor suckers who don't accept scientific facts, but rather, try to fit their understanding of the world to dusty old books.
Creationists went wrong based solely on the fact that religion was never to be based on materialism in the first place. Religion is in essence a moral theory, a spiritual theory. It's not designed to explain how we became conscience but rather, now that we're here, how to deal with that consciousness.
They're trying to prove something material with a theory that is entirely based on the immaterial.
If you've debunked the facts, then perhaps you should publish something in 'Nature' for your efforts.
I'm not going to produce anything in addition to what's already out there. If you're not going to accept the reality of evolution, and if you're going to go against mainstream science, then there's no point trying to convince you.
It would be interesting to see how you've 'debunked' the facts, however.
@uriituw Saturn has not lost its rings, galaxies continue to spin, oil under earth's crust still under intense pressure, Gulf of Mexico not full of mud yet, oldest known tree only 4300 y.o., largest corral reef only 4200 y.o., rock ledge under Niagara Falls still eroding, oceans only 3.6% salt, still find fossils above sea level. These facts support a young Universe. Ultimately, it comes down to a belief system. You either believe the Bible or you don't.
Creationism and intelligent design are not necessary to show that evolution is flawed. No biologist can show based on over 100 million fossils unearthed or based on mtDNA, a series of four legged animals that GRADUALLY evolved starting from having short necks into a giraffe, the iconic but embarrassing example of evolution taught in almost every biology class.
@JungleJargon "Unless you can show me the rock were 100 million cubic miles of sediments eroded from, the global flood is observable science."
Unless you can show me how millions of modern species arose from just one breeding pair of each taxonomic family, in 4,000 years, your flood myth is busted.
And, where did all the water come from and go to?
And how did Noah get the koala bears and Kangaroos and platypuses?
There's a minor inaccuracy here. The standard young earth estimates for the age of the earth doesn't come purely from Usher's calculation that puts creation at 4004 BCE. There were similar calculations made before and after Usher that give similar estimates. Religious Jews for hundreds of years before Bishop Usher used an estimate that gives a similar approximate age (the current year on that calendar is 5771). Any estimate using the text gets an age from about 5500 to 6500 or so.
@JoshuaZelinsky Any number derived from the bible is fictitious and based on myth.
When the real age is 4.5BY any figure like 6000 is totally laughable and can be discounted as wishful thinking of pepole who had no idea about the reality of the age of the Earth. Which is understandable for people at that time. Today we know better.
religion, when exposed to people at a young age turn them into robots, that regardless of overwhelming evidence and knowledge that it bestowed on us, has not kept them from being dumb and ignorant..or is it that their mind is so closed that they will do anything to propagate their obsolete beliefs and delusion, grow up you sick people!
You all sound like your prophets Hawkings & Dawkins your response is always to ridicule with venomous hatred and loathing when your confronted with the truth of Gods word. I have watched both your prophets over the last several years step up there hatred in interviews. The law of God is written on the hearts of every human being on earth whether you believe or not in God. You have no excuse. Every human being knows there is a God in his conscience its whether you will submit to him
I really hope you're a troll. If not, you really need to get some help. That was one of the saddest and most batshit crazy comments, I've seen in a long time. :o
you guys sure bla bla bla a lot but don't provide any valid points. there is so much astounding evidence to not only support creationism, but to completely obliterate the monkey minded evolutionary theory. Look if your so dead set on being a religion at least be in the right one. Jesus Saves ! everyone is a Christian...everyone. some of you just don't know it yet. Every knee will bow before him, I hope you get saved before your guaranteed demise. You are all going to die. get saved from hell.
@solinari399 "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." - Jesus Christ Luke 19:27. Why the fuck would I want to even associate with someone like that? Not to mention its pure fiction. The historical facts contradict each other. This is a barbaric religion you are promoting. As a good Christian you should be stoning people daily. Matthew 5 tells you that Jesus came to fulfill the old laws..... not destroy them.
I always find it interesting that conservatives reject "Liberal Arts" degrees, but at the same time deny what science that is taught in college. Anyone who believes in creationism should have there college degree nullified. Mormons in particular deny accuracy of carbon dating because it disproves the age of documents they base their religion on. IE: They are forgeries or at least contrivances.
The Big Bang was an accident, just a random coincidence with no reason, purpose nor goal.
Human intelligence, consciousness, awareness, emotions, endless curiosity and goals was just an accident, random coincidence with no purpose nor eventual goals.
actually no there are far better creation myths out there. The flood did not exist simple evidence suggests the Hindu creation myth states Bhrama created the Universe 20 billion years ago disproving your creation myths JungleJargon. A creation myth (the Hindu one) goes hand in hand with science unlike your religion. Disprove that. In fact you cant as you take it that your beliefs are true and so do they.
@Wezzipooh Science is also very accurate once you are capable of utilizing it. You benidit from science everyday when you use a computer, or take any medicine, and so on. It's complicated, of course, but it works.
True. If creationists reject evolution, they're rejecting science as a whole. Without the scientific method, these people would still be living in mud huts and dying at age 35.
You cannot wait until after death because when you are out of this world you will never choose Christ, once you die no matter how much you realize how lost you are you will never choose him because you will be forever in your sin. That is why God came into this world because today is the day of salvation there is no hope after death. Fall at Jesus feet today and follow Him.
@jimmyriche I would rather burn in a hell than worship a celestial dictator that turns innocent women into salt, tells people to commit genocide, and condones slavery.
@paddymoep I've tried to read it many times. It's just so bloody boring. I never got to the salt-women, but I won't bother trying to read it now, the plot twist has been revealed.
I personally would like to ask them if they know the power that they're asking for from the being they're asking!
Whether they don't know & just ask anyway, if thats the case I pitty them. Of course if the logical answer is true, that they're aware of who they're asking & the power the wish to have & they simply don't care...then if there is a shred of reason left in them, then why are they surprised that people resist them!
@mmmmmarcus lol, how dumb are you??? Do you know what hell is? Is easy to banter words like "I'd rather burn in hell blah blah blah blah" yet you do not know the impact of what you re saying, words they say are cheap. Can you spend a day in a burning house with no door to escape?? No, but you are ready to rather "burn in hell" or whatever for all eternity lol. Gosh, how i wish people could actually think before speaking. Oh, and God is not a dictator, you refused to worship him didnt you?
@theaccousticaddict If words are indeed so cheap that makes Hell an empty threat unless Christians can verify the location of Hell or explain a mechanism by Hell could be fueled for an eternity. When they try, they usually resort to blah, blah, blah mumbo jumbo with no evidence. To say talk is cheap would be rather accurate commentary to put toward Christianity and Islam; arguably the world’s two most brutal and intolerant major religions.
@bjeh001 Do you even listen to yourself rant? you should be learning not spewing your ignorance on something you know not of. Rather ask questions first, rather than come to lame conclusions. Verify the location of hell? How does that stop you from trying to be saved from it? So, your problem is that you do not know the location of hell, is that it? To be honest, i dont know either, but that is enough reason to say that it does not exist. God says there is hell and a heaven, God never lies.
@theaccousticaddict Hell has to be one of the most immoral concepts ever thought up. Consider this there is no end to punishment ever. At some point the suffering of the punishment(if it can be called that because there is no end to it or chance to change your ways) surpasses the crime. And every crime is forgivable if you believe in Jesus right? So the only real crime or sin is not believing. Otherwise if you lie, Hell. If you steal, Hell. If you commit adultery(even by thought), Hell.
@CtheWolfe Hell is the final punishment for Satan and for sin. Hell is the reward of evil and sin and heaven is the reward of good and holiness. You should learn of these things than rather than spewing your ignorance because you are so wrong! Sin is not forgiven if you believe in Jesus, it is only forgiven if you are saved through his grace. Even satan believes in Jesus, that does not mean he is forgiven of his sins. All sin, whether it be stealing or killing ends up in hell, sin is a sin!
@theaccousticaddict "it is only forgiven if you are saved through his grace." How are you saved by his grace? Believe in him and repent? Yes? So why would any Christian who believes not repent. Trust me I probably know your scriptures better than you do. Have you ever eaten a shellfish? Or worn clothes of mixed fibers? Because this is an abomination on par with homosexuality according to the bible. I bet you have done both. So how do you figure you have made the right choices?
@theaccousticaddict Why as a Christian do you not stone adulterers? Why do you not kill unbelievers? All this is mandated from within your scriptures. You should be openly waging war on anyone who tries to sway your faith. In Deuteronomy it clearly says you should lay waste to an entire city if one man from that place should try to do so. And Jesus came to fulfill the old laws.... RE: Matthew 5. So I do not get why you choose not to do this. It is what God wants is it not?
@bjeh001 You tend to be so much into religion, i am not into religion, i am into spirituality, having a relationship with God, that is what matters. God does not care about what church you go to, all he cares about is whether you are saved through Jesus Christ or not. Religions, especially that of nowadays are hell bent on control, manipulation and money making. We are spiritual beings, God made us so, God is a spirit and so we can commune with him, spiritually!
@theaccousticaddict Remember you were the one who said talk is cheap. So you skip from Hell and go to god, Jesus and spirits. How would you convince a dispassionate skeptical person that any of them really exist? Will there be more cheap talk or actual evidence? I’d like for you to verify in some way that you actually commune with “god” and can speak for what he cares about. There’s lots of cheap talk by the millions deluded by Christian mythology and the superstition it perpetuates.
@bjeh001 I did not skip hell, i made a choice not to end up in hell, you made a choice to. I am not here to convince you, i am here to dare you to put down you carnal God and study about God wholeheartedly. I am not your keeper, what i am doing here is for your own salvation, from eternal damnation from hell. You are the one claiming God is not real, how can you prove it??
@theaccousticaddict I just don't understand one thing about you theaccousticaddict. Why would you choose to go to Hel. This makes no sense. I thought you were consistent, more or less, but then I realize that you made a choice to go to Hel. I can't stop you, but hey, you made the choice to. Anyway. You sound like a great guy and I don't want you to go there. I'm not here to convince I really wish you decided not to go there.
@badblueman You chose to go to hell by refusing to be saved through Jesus, you know you are of sin, you know that Jesus died so that we may be saved from that sin, but you,ve still refused to accept him. That is a clear indication that you want to go to hell. I made a choice to be saved from hell, by accepting Jesus as my personal saviour and by forsaking my old and sinful ways. My job is to let you know, so that when you stand in front of God in judgement, you wont have any excuses.
@theaccousticaddict Previously to me you said “Do you even listen to yourself rant? you should be learning not spewing your ignorance on something you know not of.” And you (not me) went on to make the bold claims (apparently unsupportable) about god, Jesus and spirituality. Now you say it’s NOT your job to convince me that what YOU say is true. But its for my "salvation". Funny that it appears little difference between your assertions of god and spriritality and “spewing your ignorance”.
@bjeh001 One day, you will realise that i was not ranting, but actually speaking the truth. God is real and only through him can we be saved from hell, you have your life time to make the right choice, make it today and stop the excuses because they dont cut it.
@theaccousticaddict To Christians belief seems more important than finding out actual truth. Also Christianity and Christians have demonstrated a very poor ability to make accurate predictions. When you say that one day I will realise that you speak truth, I shall take that as another failed prediction unless you come up with credible evidence. The right choice is not to believe blindly in god myths and your fear tactical of Hell. After all, you did say that religion uses manipulation.
@bjeh001 God is the actual truth. After death, we shall stand in front of him in judgement. I never told you that i believed in God blindly, i told you that i believe in God through faith by the holy spirit, there is a different. Why would i believe in something i dont know about? that is stupid. Yes, the right choice is not to believe blindly in God, you have to really know who God is and abide by his word, only then can you not worship him blindly. Hell is real and sin will end up there.
@theaccousticaddict “I never told you that i believed in God blindly, i told you that i believe in God through faith by the holy spirit, there is a different.”
How is that any different? All you have is faith, the belief in something for which there is no evidence. Just on the faith based mental concept of god in your head, you make claims about Hell and the afterlife. You may as well keep repeating that Odin and Asgard are real for all the vaildity that your words convey.
@bjeh001 They are different, if you dont know how they are different, just shut up and learn! Science wont and cant save you from hell neither can it save you from death, we spend maybe up to 100 years in this world, but eternity in the world beyond.
You must be the dumbest atheists ive ever spoken to. you just dismiss everything, its all signs of insecurity. you are scared of facing the realities of hell. What evidence do you have to prove that hell does not actually exist? none!
@theaccousticaddict Science has already saved me from Hell. A methodology of objective analysis easily picks apart your superstitious pit of horror. Science may not save me from a final death but it has on several occasions prevented death and prolonged my life. Burden of proof: claim Hell is real but you can’t name its location or describe how it functions. You've nothing testable; thus I reject your claims. Follow you own advice and start learning. Begin by critically examining your beliefs.
@bjeh001 "Science has already saved me from hell", no it hasnt dude, science does not save, its studies God's creation, studying God's creation cant save you, and nothing made of man can save you from hell, only Jesus Christ can. Science cannot give you eternal life, only God can. science is man made and therefore has its many flaws. God has no flaws and his promises never change. I cannot name hell's location because i have not been there before, duh! it burns with fire and brimestone forever
@theaccousticaddict So Hell is composed of burning brimstone; in other words sulfur. So non-material souls are being roasted in an infinitely burning chemical fire at some unknown location? There is a such thing as credibility. You've yet to cite objective evidence that your Hell, god and Jesus are based on anything other than old myths and delusions. Are you too afraid to critically examine your irrational beliefs?
@bjeh001 I am not fraid to critically examine my beliefs, its just since since i am mortal, i am limited when it comes to things that are of a spiritual nature. Hell is real, heaven is real, Jesus told us of these things cos he has been in heaven, still is in heaven now and have seen souls being thrown into hell, that is the main reason he came to save us cos he did not want us to go there. Even those in hell cant tell you where they are cos its just a dark, burning world with no maps or wtever
@theaccousticaddict You are the one claiming god is real. How can you prove it? How can you prove that any other god for that matter does not exist and that your god you claim exists is the true one? You cannot. You cannot disprove a negative. Have you actually read the bible? Like fully? You agree with stories like Jeshurun where he turned his back on God so God laid waste to his nation in a Jealous and Angry rage? Is this someone you really think is worthy of worship?
@theaccousticaddict "God does not care about what church you go to, all he cares about is whether you are saved through Jesus Christ or not." So is the bible complete rubbish then? Because if that is all God cares about why the rules for not wearing mixed fibers, not eating shellfish, so many others. Why did God used to want animal sacrifices made to him? Think about it. You just made up your own religion. If you are Christian and believe in Christ you carry all the baggage as well.
@CtheWolfe The bibls is not rubbish, it is the word of God, that which is beyond your knowledge and understanding. What has not eating shell fish got to do with God not caring about what church we go to? Animals was sacrificed because a price had to be paid for our sins, so that we might be saved. But Jesus paid the final price for us on the cross and from then, we had no need to sacrifice animals, because Jesus sacrificed himself for us already. I believe in Christ. sigh, you need to learn.
@theaccousticaddict "The bibls is not rubbish, it is the word of God, that which is beyond your knowledge and understanding." So you are saying I am incapable of reading the bible? And understanding the moral ramifications of living my life by the codes set forth in that book? Are you more special than me? Have you been given some gift that allows you to read and understand things better than I? I mean can you really even say this with a straight face?
@CtheWolfe "So you are saying I am incapable of reading the bible?"
I am not saying that, i am saying that that you unable to understand the bible. It is a spiritual book, you have no ounce of spiritual understanding and knowledge in you, as far as you are concerned spirituality is a fantasy and figment of imagination, so how therefore can you understand the things of it thereof?
Read to understand, read to learn, dont read to critisize and to judge.
No i am not more special than you, i am just more knowledgable about the things of the spirit than you are.
"Have you been given some gift that allows you to read and understand things better than I?"
Yes, i have the holy spirit, you dont, i gave up my sinful life, asked God into my life, and i asked for his holy spirit. it is the holy spirit that allows us to understand the things of God.
@CtheWolfe" And understanding the moral ramifications of living my life by the codes set forth in that book?"
The book you talk about is the holy word of the God that created you in his image and gave you life. The book you talk about is the book your whole life will be judged by, the same book that determines whether you spend eternity in heaven or hell. We are supposed to live by that book because our lives shall be judged by it, everyone and you included.
@theaccousticaddict "all he cares about is whether you are saved through Jesus Christ or not." That is what you said. So if that is all he cares about then..... by default he does not care about all the other laws and rules. But he must otherwise there would be no sin right? And what must you do to be saved? Believe and Repent. Which is really just begging for forgiveness and feeling bad about what you did. So yeah.... Do you feel bad you ate shellfish? Are you repenting for that?
@CtheWolfe ".... by default he does not care about all the other laws and rules."
There is no other rule that supercedes the rule of God, he is the owner of the whole universe and everything within belongs also to him, including us humans. Yes, for you to be saved, you have to forsake your old and evil ways and aks Jesus into your life, pray for the holy spirit into your cleansed soul. Why would i feel bad for eating shellfish? God cares about the soul not the flesh.
@theaccousticaddict What is the point in believing in Jesus if you do not believe the rest of the bible? Without the rest of the bible Jesus is meaningless to Christianity. Its just too bad you do not fully understand what it is that you are saying.
@mmmmmarcus The sad part is that many believers will say that everything in that was totally justified and not immoral. Believe me, I've tried to explain that "slavery's bad m'kay" and the believers just give this really bad excuse that they don't understand WHY it can be discarded with the same Mr. Mackey line I just gave. It's quite annoying.... m'kay?
@jimmyriche Quote: "Fall at Jesus feet today and follow Him."
Do you mean like all the other delusional mind slaves who are so terrified at the thought of death being final, that they have invented this magical world that they will go to as the only way they can summon up the courage to face real life.
Thankyou, but using the superstition ramblings of ignorant bronze age peasants, which have absolutely no proof whatsoever and must just be blindly believed to build a life on, is not on my agenda.
consider this we are all dying if we live a long life most of us will die between 70-80yrs old, how did death come into the world?, why is the whole earth subject to the same fate? I 'll tell you why its SIN the whole world is affected by it, why must you repent and come to the Lord Jesus Christ, because he gave the Holy Spirit in this world to convict us of sin and bring us to faith in Christ.
DarkSparkJ-- Creationist are not against science for example formal science like, mathematics, computer science are both things we are benefiting from now as we communicate thru the internet. Evolution like i said before is very much in the realm of faith. NO missing links, No transitional fossils, very very inconsistent dating methods 2.5 million years from genus Homo, then 200,000 years ago we start looking like humans, Think about a million years that's like eternity. That is INSANE science.
@jimmyriche Every single "point" you make has been refuted so many times that the name for them is PRATT. It stands for Previously Refuted A Thousand Times.
You're arguing from Personal Incredulity AND you don't know what you're talking about. Bad combo.
@jimmyriche Creation "science" is a FAR less plausible theory (and i use the word "theory" in the loosest possible way) than evolution via natural and sexual selection. The "gaps" argument has been debunked too many times to count, but I'll summarize it for you: The gaps portrayed by detractors of evolution as not conclusive of a transition between species are expected by evolution. Instead, these gaps are an error of classification rather than a lack of evidence for variation.
MTBEE9--The Earths conditions are something I am quite confident they will never see anywhere else in the universe, next time your outside in the backyard at night lay down in a lawn chair and gaze in awesome wonder at the stars, the moon that also happens to be at the exact spot to determine ocean tides, life giving oxygen, life giving rain, predictable wind patterns that move weather systems around the globe, night and day, perfect 24hr rotation. All Creation cry's out that there is a God
@jimmyriche If there's only 1 earth in an endless universe - then it would go against there being a 'creator'!!! That something rare happens once is exactly what one would expect from a natural fenomenon. If it happened all the time - with no seemingly explanation then you could start thinking of something interferring. You my friend are the water in the puddle, that think the hole your are in was made just to fit your shape!
you all are missing the point, you cannot have life as we know it from an explosion your prophets say it happened 3 maybe 4 or 8 or 10 billion years ago (its always changing) as if more time will make intelligent life. transtlantic you can't be serious the ability to think & reason to express love & Joy evolved thru chance. so somehow our earth settled in the perfect spot from the sun, then by chance life started by itself. These are mathematical odds bigger than the US debt.
@jimmyriche "somehow our earth settled in the perfect spot from the sun" Here we go again. Yes if the Earth was outside the 'sweet spot' then life as we know it would most probably not have evolved to what we have today.
If conditions are right as they were on Earth life will start and evolve. This is probably true of any planet with the right conditions for life. I suspect that the odds of life starting, then evolving if the conditions are right are close to being certain.
@jimmyriche If your point is that you are ignorant, uneducated, and religiously indoctrinated to the point where some preacher or creatard site tells you that scientists are basically lying about reality so they can lead people away from God and you readily believe it and try to pass that ignorance and credulity on to others, then NO, no one is missing the point but you.
@jimmyriche Ok - before your go on with your nonsense - please read up on the stuff, coz your ignorance is all encompassing. The 'big bang' was not an explosing in the sense that a bomb is an explotion. It was an expansion! 2nd - that you blame science for changing (even though the age of the universe have been set pretty precisely for decades) are exactly what makes science work - it changes based on the evidence! You and other believers have a problem with change and uncertainty. Sad for you!
I know what a scientific theory is your prophets Hawkings and Dawkins are the one's that keep trying to explain our existence without God. That leaves scientific theory and puts its back in the realm of faith. My question still goes back to the origins of the universe and the BIG BANG. Its impossible to get from there to here by chance and time. How does cosmic evolution, human evolution create a spiritual being who can think and reason, love, all with unique individual personality traits?
If God created Adam on the sixth day and there were trees and such any reasonable scientist would say that Adam was a grown male and a few decades old. They would cut a grown tree and see there were many rings and they would count the years to determine the age. But if you believe that God created all things then you would know that Adam and the trees were just a day old.

@orlandofriend God made the first tree with rings, Adam fully grown, fossils in the rocks and star light already on the way....or not.

Dporebski20 2 months ago
@Dporebski20 "creationist theory proposes that the waters of the Noachian flood did not come solely from rain but .. the majority was stored beneath the earth's surface "
Nope that is not aTheory. It just a cockamamie idea. To be a theory you have to show that there is some evidence that points to enough water being buried under the surface of the Earth that could come to the surface and cover everything. Scientific theories requires evidence and an explanation to fit the facts. You have none.
mtbee9 2 months ago
@mtbee9 Did you not fully read my comment before deciding that this idea is "cockamamie" whatever the hell that means? Scientific studies have validated the existence of deep sea hydrothermal vents currently shooting out thousands of gallons of water everyday and they haven't stopped either. There is plenty of water still beneath the earth. The idea that it rained on the rocks for millions of years (which is really what the books say!) and created great oceans sounds a lot dumber to me.
Dporebski20 1 month ago
@Dporebski20 "Scientific studies have validated the existence of deep sea hydrothermal vents currently shooting out thousands of gallons of water everyday"
Yes and if you studied the geology you would know where those thousands of gallons came from. But I won't spoil your research into the answer by telling you. it's not an endless supply.
"rained on the rocks for millions of years " yes - have you never heard of the hydrologic cycle. Oh and the water came from comets! Try reading some science!
mtbee9 1 month ago
@mtbee9 I do read a lot of science. I have a degree in biology pre-med and I understand the hydrologic cycle. I'm not even saying I believe in what creationists say but I understand what their argument is. I understand both sides and on some issues one makes more sense than the other, whether or not it really is true. I've heard of the hydrologic cycle but that only moves water from clouds to the surface of earth and back into oceans. It does not explain where vast oceans came from.
Dporebski20 1 month ago
@Dporebski20 "It does not explain where vast oceans came from." Exactly my point. There is not enough water in or on the Earth to create a flood to cover everything. Therefore the bible story of Noah is fiction!
When the religions can show scientifically that there was once a lot more water to cover the earth, where it came from and where it went to then there may be a discussion on the merits of if a global flood could have happened. Then they need evidence that it actually did occur!
mtbee9 1 month ago
@mtbee9 You have a good point but have u considered the possibility that nobody knows how much water was on the earth in the past? We don't know how many comets supposedly bombarded the earth early in its history/formation. However, we do know the amount of water on earth today and if you look it up, the oceans could cover the entire land masses of earth over one mile deep if the majority of large mountains were smoothed out and valleys were brought up.
Dporebski20 1 month ago
@mtbee9 And I'm just curious. Why couldn't all of the millions of fossils of dead organisms laid down in fossil graveyards be considered as evidence of a flood? Fossils don't just form anywhere and for any reason. There has to be specific conditions for a fossil to form and most of the best preserved fossils that we have are of organisms buried by sediment in moving water. Why isn't this given consideration as potential "evidence" for a global flood? Is it not plain to see?
Dporebski20 1 month ago
@Dporebski20 " a global flood? Is it not plain to see?"
Definitely no. You are correct in how fossils usually form - in sediments of lakes or rivers where animals can be covered quickly and protected from erosion, decay and scavenging. However this has happened continuously over 500 MY and not in one single occurrence.
There is also no geological evidence for a single flood event and nothing from 6000 years ago.
mtbee9 1 month ago
@mtbee9 In addition, the hydrologic cycle "cycles" water that already exists on earth. It doesn't create oceans. Also, I've heard of comets containing water and that is a fact, but for the comets to provide the amount of water found in the billions of gallons of earth's bodies of water is a silly idea. How many comets would have to hit the earth to provide that much water? A lot more than we have evidence ever even hit the earth. I'm not attacking ur beliefs mtbee9, I'm simply challenging them.
Dporebski20 1 month ago
@Dporebski20 "How many comets would have to hit the earth to provide that much water"
Probably quite a lot - but then we have had billions of years for this to happen. Also there is thought to have been a period of 'heavy bombardment' when there were a lot more comets and meteors around earlier in the forming of the Solar system.
It is also possible that not all the water came from comets.
There is no evidence of the amount of water needed to cover the Earth 6000 years ago.
mtbee9 1 month ago
@mtbee9 Obviously the earth didn't always have large mountains. It's been shifting about for a while now and Mt. Everest may not have existed according to Creationist's ideas. The talk about comets is nice and all and it makes sense but where is the evidence that a "heavy bombardment" occurred? U said "it is thought" to have occurred. Was it just thought because it makes sense or is there actual empirical proof of its occurrence? I'm just trying to learn here, not supporting any particular idea.
Dporebski20 1 month ago
@Dporebski20 "proof of its occurrence?" I am not an astrophysicist and have not researched the evidence for the heavy bombardment but I think it is based on the knowledge of how solar systems form and the 'debris' that is around the sun that forms the planets. This would leave many objects that would collide with the planets and this would decrease over time as they are used up. Look up Heavy bombardment.

Barcs 4 months ago 8
@Barcs the extra water came from under the ground and you assume that there was Mt Everest before the flood. Basic science 101? buahaha you mean Basic assumptions 101
ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas It's pretty obvious that you do not even have a basic understanding of science. Science can be experimented, repeated and is falsifiable. We know the rate that mountains form, they do not just form overnight. Can you prove that water in that quantity exists under the ground or is it another guess, like your fairy tale book? Why don't you actually do some reading on the subject? The "great flood" obviously refers to the end of the last ice age, when the ocean levels rose.
Barcs 3 months ago
@Barcs oh I did my reading an you should watch kent hovind's seminar on the flood because you are blind of the obvious. and besides that you said that science is something that can be experimented and observed and for once you are right, now show me an observation of a monkey giving birth to a human.

ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas "bugs' fossils being so big our atmosphere wouldn't support" There was a lot more oxygen in the atmosphere when bugs were large.
"fossilized trees standing up through many layers of rock" Yep the layers were laid down in quick succession in that case and accounts for a small period of time.
"try using common sense learn something" Well seeing as how you have fallen for a bunch of creationist lies it would behoove you to study the real evidence and not accept lies as truth.
mtbee9 3 months ago
@ProMajtas " that .. is evidence the geologic column is a bunch of crap" As the geological column is accepted by ALL Geologists you're going to need an awful lot of real hard evidence to disprove it. The basics of Geology continues to be reconfirmed and there is no alternative yet presented that matches the facts.
Same goes for Evolution. DO you have a better Theory that matches ALL the evidence - Nobel prize for you if you do.
mtbee9 3 months ago
@mtbee9 Here is HARD evidence that geologic column is a bunch of crap. There are petrified trees found all over the world buried in vertical position. Were they buried or did they stand there for millions of years? No they would root.
ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas "petrified trees found all over the world buried in vertical position" Nope sorry only a few examples exist standing up surrounded by other layers of sediment. Many are lying down and were buried in volcanic ash which helped preserve them. The specimens standing upright were probably fossilized in volcanic ash which later eroded away leaving the resultant fossilized trees vertical, subsequent mud and other sediments later filled in around them giving the result.
mtbee9 3 months ago
@mtbee9 You have ill source of information. There are immense amounts of examples of petrified trees buried vertically. You should find out what petrified means. It it would be preserved by ash they wouldnt be petrified because you need water for that effect.
ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas "There are immense amounts of examples of petrified trees buried vertically."
OK and how were they buried and what caused the petrification?
"You should find out what petrified means." I know what it means and have seen many examples!
"it would be preserved by ash they wouldnt be petrified because you need water for that effect."
The Ash is what killed the trees, being buried and surrounded by water and minerals over time causes petrification.
mtbee9 3 months ago
@mtbee9 so you're saying the trees were buried in ash, ok but the last time i checked rocks like granite are not made from ash.
ProMajtas 3 months ago

ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ndrthrdr1 They are buried in vertical position going through many layers of rock which were supposed to be millions of years old.
Face this either you came from God or you came from nothing, because that is what you believe. Nothing exploded and here we are.
ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas The fossilized trees weren't fossilized when they were buried. They were buried in sediment, then fossilized as the sediment very gradually became compacted and transformed into rock. What's confusing about this?
Nothing exploded? That comment clearly shows that you don't understand the scientific theory concerning the Big Bang. It was a rapid expansion of existing energy/matter. Something magically appearing from nothing is what creationists believe.
ndrthrdr1 3 months ago
@ndrthrdr1 did that tree stand there in sediment vertically for milions of years? no
Yes we believe that something can appear from nothing with the will of God. The problem is science should be supported and Big Bang can't. Because it never happend
ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas That tree only has to remain vertical as sufficient sediment accumulates to keep it vertical, not for millions of years.
The Big Bang is supported by background radiation predicted by the theory, THEN discovered, and by our still-expanding universe. Maybe virtually all Physicists, Astronomers, Cosmologists, Geologists, etc. are wrong, and a few desperate cult members are right.
Do you see a pattern here?

@ProMajtas "so please tell me what first cell looked like." We don't know yet. That is what is so intriguing about the challenge of working out how life began. There are already a few plausible ideas being researched.
mtbee9 3 months ago
@mtbee9 there is no such thing as a simple cell. THere would be no way for it to evolve because according to evolutionists earth was 80% tixic for live. You give a cell literary perfect place to live with with perfect acidity level, than try to pncture the membrane All the cell parts in it will flow out There is no way for them to go back. SO what makes you think that they evolved atomatically forming the membrane?
ProMajtas 3 months ago
@ProMajtas "there is no such thing as a simple cell" And you know this how?
The important thing about that first 'cell' is the ability to replicate. We don't know the exact conditions on Earth 3.5 BY ago and we don't know if it was enclosed in a membrane that may have evolved later.
Because we don't yet know the exact mechanism of how life got started does not mean that 'god did it'. If you say it couldn't happen then you need more that guesswork as to why not and a good answer to how it did.
mtbee9 3 months ago
@mtbee9 so the first cell was just chemicals not bound by any membrane that were set appart by any wave? of you have absolutly ZERO evidance for how life started why is it considered as fact and tought in schools. and if evolution is true how did all the Symbiotic Relationships start? when one animal is dependant on another to survive? like symbiosis between termites and their intestinal protozoa? did it just start randomly and after Milions of years they couldnt live without each other?
ProMajtas 3 months ago

ProMajtas 3 months ago

@uriituw

Terncote 4 months ago
There's a minor inaccuracy here. The standard young earth estimates for the age of the earth doesn't come purely from Usher's calculation that puts creation at 4004 BCE. There were similar calculations made before and after Usher that give similar estimates. Religious Jews for hundreds of years before Bishop Usher used an estimate that gives a similar approximate age (the current year on that calendar is 5771). Any estimate using the text gets an age from about 5500 to 6500 or so.
JoshuaZelinsky 5 months ago
@JoshuaZelinsky Any number derived from the bible is fictitious and based on myth.
When the real age is 4.5BY any figure like 6000 is totally laughable and can be discounted as wishful thinking of pepole who had no idea about the reality of the age of the Earth. Which is understandable for people at that time. Today we know better.

What the creationists seem to forget is that creationism at one time was the sole theory available
the modern ideas of evolution came along because thinkers looked at the earth itself and saw problems with the 6000 year model
the earth still exhibits these problems
which were becoming clear to scholars long before we knew abotu evolution or radiometric dating methods
these have only added to the certianty that the earth is 4 Billion years old
they did not start those ideas

I always find it interesting that conservatives reject "Liberal Arts" degrees, but at the same time deny what science that is taught in college. Anyone who believes in creationism should have there college degree nullified. Mormons in particular deny accuracy of carbon dating because it disproves the age of documents they base their religion on. IE: They are forgeries or at least contrivances.

Gosh, how i wish people could actually think before speaking. Oh, and God is not a dictator, you refused to worship him didnt you?
theaccousticaddict 5 months ago
@theaccousticaddict If words are indeed so cheap that makes Hell an empty threat unless Christians can verify the location of Hell or explain a mechanism by Hell could be fueled for an eternity. When they try, they usually resort to blah, blah, blah mumbo jumbo with no evidence. To say talk is cheap would be rather accurate commentary to put toward Christianity and Islam; arguably the world’s two most brutal and intolerant major religions.
bjeh001 5 months ago
@bjeh001 Do you even listen to yourself rant? you should be learning not spewing your ignorance on something you know not of. Rather ask questions first, rather than come to lame conclusions. Verify the location of hell? How does that stop you from trying to be saved from it? So, your problem is that you do not know the location of hell, is that it? To be honest, i dont know either, but that is enough reason to say that it does not exist. God says there is hell and a heaven, God never lies.
theaccousticaddict 5 months ago
@theaccousticaddict Hell has to be one of the most immoral concepts ever thought up. Consider this there is no end to punishment ever. At some point the suffering of the punishment(if it can be called that because there is no end to it or chance to change your ways) surpasses the crime. And every crime is forgivable if you believe in Jesus right? So the only real crime or sin is not believing. Otherwise if you lie, Hell. If you steal, Hell. If you commit adultery(even by thought), Hell.
CtheWolfe 5 months ago
@CtheWolfe Hell is the final punishment for Satan and for sin. Hell is the reward of evil and sin and heaven is the reward of good and holiness. You should learn of these things than rather than spewing your ignorance because you are so wrong! Sin is not forgiven if you believe in Jesus, it is only forgiven if you are saved through his grace. Even satan believes in Jesus, that does not mean he is forgiven of his sins. All sin, whether it be stealing or killing ends up in hell, sin is a sin!
theaccousticaddict 5 months ago
@theaccousticaddict "it is only forgiven if you are saved through his grace." How are you saved by his grace? Believe in him and repent? Yes? So why would any Christian who believes not repent. Trust me I probably know your scriptures better than you do. Have you ever eaten a shellfish? Or worn clothes of mixed fibers? Because this is an abomination on par with homosexuality according to the bible. I bet you have done both. So how do you figure you have made the right choices?
CtheWolfe 5 months ago
@theaccousticaddict Why as a Christian do you not stone adulterers? Why do you not kill unbelievers? All this is mandated from within your scriptures. You should be openly waging war on anyone who tries to sway your faith. In Deuteronomy it clearly says you should lay waste to an entire city if one man from that place should try to do so. And Jesus came to fulfill the old laws.... RE: Matthew 5. So I do not get why you choose not to do this. It is what God wants is it not?
CtheWolfe 5 months ago
@bjeh001 You tend to be so much into religion, i am not into religion, i am into spirituality, having a relationship with God, that is what matters. God does not care about what church you go to, all he cares about is whether you are saved through Jesus Christ or not.

@jimmyriche "Its impossible to get from there to here by chance and time." How do you 'know' this?
Unless you are a super astrophysicist I doubt that you have a clue.
"How does cosmic evolution, human evolution create a .. being who can think and reason" Through Evolution.
If you don't think it can then you have never studied or do not understand evolution.
(its always changing) Not any more the age of the universe is around 14.5 BY, Earth around 4.5 BY.

DarkSparkJ 5 months ago
