The uploader plays like I do, where you build the chain pretty much in the order it gets set off. Since I don't have japanese players to play against, I never learned the full screen 15+ chain patterns, which are rather impractical against the DS version's PPF AI.
are you sure about that? lots of japanese players play in that form...aka "orikaeshi" (build up a humongous combo), and he isnt that speedy in building it.
good try though! i personally sympathize with you, because WAY too many ppl focus on large chains now thanks to fever :/ i miss the good ol' days of puyo 2 and sun when chains of 2,3,4 where more effective :D
Actually, this is because he wasn't playing particularly seriously.
when kumachom plays seriously, the most players will get destroyed within 30-40 seconds since kumachom is is like one of the best harassment players in the game. You should try looking at his other games when he *is* playing seriously, like someone uploaded the "first to 50" match he had with LWTD somewhere on youtube.
Also, it doesnt look like he's speedy, because of the presence of lag when you play internationally.
Even puyo 2, 2,3,4 isn't that effective. It's more like Power 2s that dominated that, and most players are so good at harassing that it came down to how prepared you are for harassment while you're building a huge chain.
