  • the police were banging their shields and saying AROOO, like they thought they were spartans,

  • a perfect circle rocks haha

  • Seems to me the maker of this video is more upset about the fact that the police were one or two steps ahead of the protestors. I don't mind people protesting but if keeping up peace means some people being apprehended (read: not necessarily prosecuted), these police tactics are -in my opinion- justified. I wasn't there though.

  • @Peekele1

You're a sheep and you will always be a sheep. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • @drutter And you are very hard to take seriously.

  • @Peekele1

Just laugh it off, sheep. All the way to your death. Goodbye :)

  • @Peekele1 Seems to me like you are an advocate of public servants encroaching on our rights as citizens. Is that a bit more on the serious side. Do you enjoy watching the pawns of the government carry out orders to detain those that stand up for our present and our future? Answer that!

  • imagine the multi kill you would get if you tossed a semtex into the group of cops..

  • "It's NEVER okay to violate someone's rights, ESPECIALLY if you're getting paid to do it."

Actually getting paid to do it make it more OK ( not less)

because it means that unlike the protestors who had the opinion of going home the protestors choose to riot and confront police out of there own free will.

Where as the cops just have to do there job.. the cops cant decide that they dont want to turn up to work just because they dont feel like it

  • NO -- the protestors aren't doing there jobs... that is the diffrence.

the protestors could have turned around and left. and gone home ( like they should have. were as the police can't just turn around and go home ( without getting fired)

  • This is insane. I always thought that this kind of stuff could only happen in some places in the States. I've spent most of my life in Toronto, and now I'm ashamed of it.

  • Malcolm X's words have proven to be prophetic! For the past centuries blacks and other minorities have been treated with the same in-justice that everyone including whites are finally starting to experience. Times are changing and we must adapt to survive. Stop the racism and the hate among all nations, race, and genders. Realize that we must all struggle together as one, against an enemy that tends to enslave us all.

  • So...you have this holier-than-thou style of preaching and telling everybody else how terrible they are if they do not agree with your opinions and yet you have no problem generalizing all police officers as "murderous rapists". I believe you just fulfilled the necessary requirements of the definition of hypocracy.

  • "The Nazi's were just people trying to do their job!"

  • rofl at the scary afro bitch? shes living the dream, a solid 40K a year, adrenalin rush while beating protesters, a designer hair-do, she has it all.

  • I understand what this video is saying, but i see all the people that arent cops walking around attacking each other and looting stores. So they are kinda justified

  • Awesome vid man.

I've lived in toronto all my life. I'm now 22 and witnessed exactly what happened the day of the G20 protests. It was a BLATANT violation of our rights as citizens of this country, and it is far from the only example of this kind of treatment from a government that supposedly advocates a free nation. It is acts like this that prove the opposite. No free man or woman of Canada should stand for these atrocities.

Give me freedom or give me death. We will be debt slaves no more!

  • @ScaryEskimo

People like you are becoming more common. Waking up to what's happened in the West. G20 and other events like it just wake more and more up. Glad to have you on the side with their eyes and minds open :)

  • @drutter Thanks for the reply. Im glad there r people out there like urself takin the time to show that Canada isnt as innocent in world events as the common man would like to believe. Our government is manipulating us & our news sources purposely refuse to report things that would make us question the moral integrity of our government. Its a sad state of affairs but it is the truth. Find online news sources for REAL news! Stay in the kno! Television news has been bought out

  • If you play with fire there is a good chance you will get burnt.

It's simple and applies to many things in life.

To this day I still don't know what the protest was about!?

Did they want the summit elsewhere? Was there a particular business item during the summit that was controversial?

  • @blackbeagle

Sadly, the mainstream media didn't inform you what the protests were about. There were many, but the biggest was that the G20 is a secretive meeting of people who decide the future of the Western world, without any input from the governed. It goes against freedom and liberty, bigtime. If you're against people trying to preserve what little freedom they have left, you're not on MY team.

"Play with fire and get burned" - Yeah but cops aren't fire, they're our well paid protectors.

  • @blackbeagle Its just that hippies are too lazy to find jobs.. so rather than just get off there ass and look for work they would rather blame someone else ( ie the goverment, immirgation , free trade etc))

  • What's the song at 0:30?

  • @Typhoon10UK

A Perfect Circle - Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm

If you like them, their track "Pet" is similar and also really good.

  • @drutter Thanks for the reply. I really like A Perfect Circle as The Outsider is one of my favourite songs. :D

  • people please wake up ur friends we must destroy this system!

  • i agree with u dude

  • Wow, this really makes me angry. Never ever did I think that a "Police state" would happen in Canada

  • Someday, the people protesting are gonna be carrying more than board and stone... than maybe the cops will understand...

Cops shouldn't be the one scaring people, the people should be scaring the cops.

  • OK, so you compare police to "murderous rapists" because they want to make sure you're not running around with weapons at a protest, and because they don't let your friends smash more windows and burn more cars.

One day, you may need to call emergency services. And when that day comes, they'll come to help you.

But you definitely don't deserve it.

  • @SirSabin

You don't realize how ignorant you sound (and are), do you? No, because that's the definition of ignorant. Carry on, fool.

  • @SirSabin yah honestly my friend was saved by a toronto police officer they were first on scene when he had cardiac arrest

  • @SirSabin The job is serve and protect not staring people down fro fascist gear being a dick fuck to every non-threatening person in and out of the way

  • Of course it takes 6 cops to push a peaceful black man.

  • YAWN.... WE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS ??

  • Through out history the avaricious elite have been able to hire ignorant thugs to do their dirty work for them, and through out history the people eventually rise up and kill the oppressors.

  • The cops did an awesome job at the G20. Imagine the dramatic increase of damages by blackies that would have occured to businesses without them ! Good job and thanks to all people fighting and ensuring our freedom !

  • great video but one thing there is no such thing as "rights". The goverment will let you think there is such a thing but there is not. I.E.1942 the Canadian government had set up 8 internment camps in BC for Japanese Canadians

  • oh ok so u stand for peace and shit how about the children all over the world who are being born into horrible conditions all over the world ? why not help them instead of protesting how about u do something? proteseting obviously doesnt work as u can see from your video try soemthing peaceful the goverment will have a better reaction....

  • @joshmanownz

The protests were peaceful, and the government's "better reaction" was to use agent provocateurs and other tactics to bring about damage to property so they could violently clamp down on the peaceful protests. You should really do a little research before you spout off with your mainstream media nonsense. It's all documented if you care to take the time to look, but you won't.

  • @joshmanownz Literally millions of people protested peacefully against the Iraq war in 2003. What did that change? If peaceful protest doesn't work and the government refuse to allow for a democratic solutoin, what are ordinary people supposed to do?

  • @SolarJakee It will come to the point where we need to fight back.

  • infringing on rights are u fucking kidding me how about some peace protests like ghandi and shit ? maybe they wouldnt get so fucking pissed if some douchebags kids were running around braking random shit and destryoing stuff some people have worked there whole lives for?

  • @joshmanownz

I'd explain it to you, but sounds like it wouldn't do any good. But good luck anyway!

  • @joshmanownz Ghandi dealt with Agent Provocateurs, too...

  • L0L when u talked about cops and murders and rapists and shit as the same as copes how the FUCK is murdering random people or Raping random the same as police officers.

  • @joshmanownz

    you are an idiot.

  • Okay this is weird Toronto has the biggest asian population in canada right? Notice how you see zero asians in any of the protests.

  • @Gam3rBoy no BC does

  • You`re a stupid hippy, drutter. stfu. I wish the cops would kick your ass.

  • @coolbones

I reported your threat to YouTube, and it looks like they've banned your account. But I have one parting word for you, if you get this: PEACE! ;)

  • @coolbones you are a dumb ass, probably some some idiot cop who has no respect for the law

  • APC is cool

  • i count about 10 cops, and 10,000 scared shitless pussys.

  • @9DragonMaster

Toronto is new to police rule. Next time something like this happens, I think it will be a little different. We'll see soon enough (unfortunately).

  • yea all these provacatours, careful what you wish for. These people slowly become battle ready veterans, prepared to carry water and bandanas

  • oh hey there canadian gov. i know you are watching and reading these now, so on behalf of the people of this country, i'd like to say that if you think for a single second that shit like this is going to stop us from taking this country back, you are sadly mistaken

  • @theunicorntaxi Before you speak on my behalf as a Canadian I think you'd better explain where you think you're taking my country back to. What are you trying accomplish for the nation?

  • Lady looks like possessed by satan, moment.. probabli is!!!

  • all i have to say is this. FUCK THE PLOCE. look up g8 g20 crash the meeting music vid i think yall would love it!

  • man can u belive that in africa if you speak OUT OF TURN! they shoot u im glad i live in america where protests can happen and dont give me that peacefull protes crap ppl down the road were destroying things the cops couldnt have let that happen all over!

  • "The system that we're in requires us to get money. We don't really have a choice." Thats what the aim of Black Bloc is, tearing down the fucked up system and replacing it with a non capitalistic society.

  • @SIGN666 youre comparing police who are trying to maintain order in a situation and stop people from rioting with nazis? really? get outta here dude

  • @drutter Rapists are inherently evil, whereas officers are sworn professionals dedicated to the prevention of crime. When an officer is breaking the law, dont get up in his face about it. Get his or her badge number and file a complaint like a civilized human being rather than spitting on them, cussing them out, throwing objects, escalating tension, etc. Cops will not let citizens tell them what to do. It's called holding the line. If you have a problem with it then dont call when you need help

  • I never got that kind of comment (the title), nobody denies their trying to do their jobs. Its the kind of illegal activities their jobs involve that get people angry.

  • most you people hate the police...so be it...then don't call the police if something happens seems like you losers are usually the first ones to call....

  • "Murderers and rapists" are just people trying to get money too, eh? Well, I hope you won't be disappointed if next time you call 911, a rapist shows up... because, you know, they're pretty much the same as police.

  • some cops are people normal people but there are a lot of greedy people in the world what you dont think that cops cant be greedy some people dont care what they do to get money even if it means dressing in all black and oppressing peoples freedom

  • police and national guard are a not your friends they are there to arrest you and put your ass in jail. They are the ones that will knock down your door shoot your dog kick your ass and take your guns and rape your wife and daughters as they are leaving your house has happen in New Orleans that why it call ploice state It's obvious that the police are the common enemy of the people POLICE ARE ARMED AND RETARDED THEY WILL HURT YOU most of police r a piece of shit

  • @KYKIN44 wrong.

  • If protesters wanted to make a statement they should of stayed home to show that the money spent on security was a waste

  • looks like the USA.

  • FUCK THE POLICE,i feel you Drutter the UK is just as fucked as canada

  • The cops are definitely in the right here. These people were disregarding police warnings. They are called the AUTHORITIES for a reason. The Black Bloc's presence and trouble called out for measures not seen before in the streets of Toronto. When the police say move back, you run. Inching along with them says "only extreme measures will get rid of my nuisance". These people were a distraction to the police's ability to catch anarchists. They should have left...

  • yah being paid to be evil. the same evil that put his life on the line every day to protect your ass, so your family and yourself dont get killed, raped or rubbed. idiotes like you think they know it all. you cant even survive one day with out the police. there are people in jail that have shot others for $100 or less. wake up and use your brain

  • I'll agree here that the leg thing was a bit much..but in the end, I'm on the cops side..those rioters were fucking crazy...

  • I'm not against cops in general. We need them. But the ones who ignored the rights of protestors during the G20 were a bunch of pricks. I wish they could all be fired.

  • @kwark1223

You should look up what a "right" is. When something is a right, it CAN'T get you in trouble. That's the whole point.

  • @drutter Well, when you are running in a crowd full of people breaking doors, windows, setting cars on fire; that is your problem.

That's like me going to Jane and Finch, watching a gun fight; and then me getting booked for it.

My problem; why the hell were you there? Why were you with the wrong group of people?

  • @drutter Yes but you should also look at this, as of "The Charter Of Rights And Freedoms" Freedom of a peaceful assembly. I'm sure you can whip up a few videos and can clearly see smashing windows, burning police cars. I was against the G20 for my own reasoning that isn't important. Yes there were many peaceful protest but there were also many violent protest/riots. Therefore in the end, those rioters messed it up for everyone.

  • @Kwark1223

No it means your allowed to do it within the bounds of the Law, the US has the right to bear arms, but if you put a 9mm round into someones skull without provocation you get arrested.

  • @drutter You are absolutely wrong, and its a shame that most people feel the way you do. None of your rights are absolute and quite a few are able to be taken away. It is at the discretion of the police to decide when the rights of others are being infringed to an extent that requires their intervention into your rights and then it is up to the courts to decide if their actions were lawful. There are many rights that if went unchecked would render civil society into a state of anarchy.

  • @ccAshercc

You're absolutely wrong as well, so I guess that makes two of us!

  • @kwark1223 My god your an uneducated retard. Because of simpletons like yourself, the police have free reign to keep on violating the rights of Canadians. People like you are disgusting.

  • @Chain1234 LOL

This is funny. You act as if Toronto is a police state. You my friend, the simpleton, have never been to a police state.

Have a trip to China and throw a protest and tell me how it goes.

If you come back alive, feel free to call me stupid.

  • @kwark1223 There can be various degrees of police states...

    1. I never said police state

    2. I never said anything about China

Are you seriously that retarded? Please tell me, where do you hold your degree from?

  • @Chain1234

'Free reign over to keep on violating...'

That is a police state. Absolute corruption all the time; correct?

I made a comparison to China; I never stated you said anything about China.

Please tell me, where do you hold your degree from?

  • @kwark1223 Who said anything about "absolute corruption all the time", will you quit fucking making these assumptions?

  • @kwark1223 Well Kwark I don't get where your getting this from. Seems to me that you are making up some of Chains "points". The way i see it is the police officers break the law, they violate our rights as a Canadian citizen! So with the ability to just blindly disregard our rights the police then must have absolute power over us, is that not what your implying by your previous statement?

  • @kwark1223 i completly agree with u there doing what they have to to stop a threat

  • @ssminojohnson23

    Doing what they have to?

Taking a man who is an amputee, and dragging him across the ground because he was unable to stand one his one leg without having immense pain is doing what they have to?

Do you understand what the idea of a police state entices?

Giving up your freedoms will not make you safer, no matter how much they try to convince you of that.

  • @NeutralExistence yea doing what they have to i wouldnt have the paciance they do if some one said fuck the police to me and i was one of them id beat there head in with my baton even that guy with one leg id break his other one

  • @ssminojohnson23

You belong in a rubber walled room!

  • @kwark1223 i completly agree with u there doing what they have to to stop a threat and there trained to pick them off like they do they dnt kno if they have anything on them or whats gona happen next in a situation like this

  • All these questions good and bad about police behaviour could be put to rest very easy. Have a public enquirie and allow both sides to state their case. If neither side has anything to hide meaning those arrested and the leaders of the arresting depts. then each would welcome the opportunity to explain their case. Obedience of the laws is expected...BLIND obedience of any law is dangerous. For democracy to work it needs checks and ballances not blinders.

  • So it's ok for protesters to burn police cars, damage homes and shops in the area, verbally assault others and violate other laws but if a police officer tries to stop them they're suddenly the bad guys? These videos are all stupid anyway. Notice the videos always show the police taking action but the video never shows WHY the took action?

  • @Duckman1616

I purposely covered that part of the story because that's what interests me. I'm sure you've seen plenty of footage of cops burning their cars already, why bother including it here? If you're looking for a comprehensive and non-biased video on the subject, don't go to opinion pieces like this and claim they're slanted in one direction. Duh.

  • @Duckman1616 How did they try to stop them? Last time I checked the police only started arresting peaceful people AFTER the violent "protesters" dispersed

  • Cops are only people trying to get paid?.WTF! So are f**king assassins, gangsters, pimps, drug dealers etc. These Police are NWO SCUM, allot of which are ex-military, ruthless, trigger happy shit bags without an ounce of moral goodness in there body.

Although, I don't condone violence, I will have a smug smile on my face the day that the protesters arm themselves & play random snatch & grab with them fu*kers, see how the like it when they get kidnapped, threatened, strip searched & bullied

  • Hi drutter

1st of all, agree with most of your deconstruction about police.

But I have to check you on this damned myth about the cops "planting cars to get destroyed". More of that "allowed the riot to happen" fallacy. It's simply not true.

I urge you to have a look at - We Started The Riot - posted by The Stimulator.

This will save me having to spam your comment thread with all the reasons why everyone dons their tin-foil hats when the black bloc gets their smash-on.

    Keep the good fight!

  • There are plenty of cops that are just people trying to work for a living. But then again there are plenty of cops who do it for the feeling of power. Not all cops are bad. Like everyone else, there are bad people and good people. But like always, bad people out number the good people. When a police officer infringes on anyone's rights, it's a disgrace to America's forefathers. This country and it's law enforcers are a sham of what it used to be.

  • I loved the commentary on this video :) It's a crying shame that it has to be spelled out to the masses, who are thick as shit when it comes to the ever-growing threat to freedom and democracy while they lick the black boots of the equally thick scum wearing those uniforms.

  • "You know it's funny when it rains it pours

They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor

Say there ain't no hope for the youth and the truth is

it ain't no hope for tha future

And then they wonder why we crazy......."

  • They don't give a fuck about us...

  • Those protesters are fucking morons the police get paid to do their job they have every right to arrest those hothead thrill seeking vandals good job police

  • @MrBeenis WHY DONT YOU GO GUARD A CONSTRUCTION SITE COP,MAKE SHURE A CRANE DOESNT TIP OVER

  • This is not the Canada I grew up in. My parents escaped a communist country to get away from this.

  • i went to the protests. i immediately sensed that it was unsafe. it wasn't the same old city during those days. there were riot police and scads of punky thrill seekers looking for some action and trying to incite action from the police. I remember thinking to myself that if I weren't careful I could get hurt. I obeyed the police and stayed out the thrill seekers' way. it is pretentious to act as though you can put yourself in that kind of a situation and expect things to be normal.

  • @Jahkillian

    There was no dead body.

  • @drutter

He's not saying there WAS a dead, he is implying if there was a dead body in the park, Would you still walk through there even though it could possibly destroy evidence? or would you temporarily allow your rights to be suspended so that the police could do there job?

  • @Jahkillian

    Haha that's totally irrelevant

  • @Jahkillian rofl.

  • @Jahkillian you nob head...

  • @Jahkillian And if there was masked criminals for police troop and rape someon? Walk!?

  • I can't believe what the police had to go through that week. They warned the fuckin idiot, and he thinks he just ignore what they say and go by. lol Lets say the police got a bomb threat and didn't want to cause K os, they might even be protecting you and you don't listen to them. I wish that was the case, and the ones that didn't listen got some shrapnel up there ass! That would teach them a lesson.

  • @Jahkillian

Ignorant. You clearly don't know your rights. That man you're putting down does, fool.

  • @drutter What right are you talking about? What right did he lose?

  • @Jahkillian Have another listen to Morgan Freeman's speech at the end of the video just before the blaring guitar.

  • @Jahkillian ......IS A DYKE COP WITH 3 TINY BREASTS..........ON HER ASS

  • @MrDashripprock Dyke cop hey? lol Ok.... Let me guess you're on the protesters side? Judging from how intelligent your comment is, I wouldn't be able to tell.. lol

  • Look up " G20 PROOF THAT THE POLICE IN TORONTO SAW BLACK BLOC RIOTS AND DID NOTHING Pt 1 " to watch a large contingent of riot police stand down a half block away from the Black Bloc Starbucks smashup. It's the first of 3 vids, watch all 3. These guys are great at rounding up and arresting peaceful, nonviolent people, but when real action happens, when real crimes happen, they do nothing.

  • execute all police

  • isn't it weird that cops in different cities try to 1 up each other in their cities peaceful G20 protesters and practically forcing them to retaliate

  • WOW indeed, yes that part was funny with the BIG orange hair. The police broke up a crowd BEFORE it turned violent; as history shows (the day before) that this is what happens when large crowds form. Unfortunately, the few bad apples (BlackBloc) had to ruin it for the many (peaceful protestors). Someone needs to protest against the BlackBloc...?

  • @ drutter...would not say I am lumping anything.. there was wrongful acts by both Police and Protestors, obviously Police action is always going 2 attract more critisism. What's happened I see as very disheartening. I have friends in Toronto who were protesting, I have friends who are cops in Toronto. I know all these people are decent people, it's sad when I read of such violence. I honestly hope serious lessons can be learned from BOTH sides and further tradegy such as this can be prevented

  • arrested for being right. this one is onto us, arrest him, or this one made me look stupid arrest him

  • I don't favour either side, I'm all for peace and hate all violence. I find it interesting however in so many videos I have watched that protesters constantly state "Peaceful Protest", yet these same people are clearly being VERBALLY ABUSIVE and intimatating towards to the Police; is that "peaceful"? Hypocritical? Many protestors didn't like being physically handled which I'm sure is not pleasant..but think if you were in Asia and acted that way, you could be shot. This our sad world at times

  • @gonetolukins

I didn't see one single protester who was chanting "peaceful protest" act abusive to a police officer. Did you? If so, please show me where. Sounds like you're just lumping everything you've seen together and attributing it to all protesters.

    .

Also, you should be made aware that even for protesters who had insulted or looked intimidating toward police are not fair game for physical violence. Sounds like you should learn about your rights before you lose them even further.

  • @drutter there was one saying that

  • the government has always been crooked thank you for opening the eyes of the blind with videos such as this one...fuck NWO

  • Nazis were people to.

  • stupid protestors, fight for something that they dont want, you ruin a police car, so u will pay for it in taxes, brun a police car pay for it later.. rofl

  • Send all these hipster pseudo protesters to Gitmo for life.

    Go home!

  • Did many ppl 4get why the terror attacks happened due to freedom or liberties that allowed the m to plot their attacks..The red headed lady is my hero..She was not afraid of goons or goon wannabes.Like the way they arrested the idiots trying to cause trouble.

  • @blueshadow1996 LOL, you must be the one remaining person out there that still believes the official 9/11 lies. Time to crawl out from under that rock bud.

The "scary lady" weilding the red wig and steel baton is very afraid and is why she is acting the way she is. lol She's afraid of those goons with cameras yep ... those scary protesters and their cameras singing Oh Canada. lol ... idiot:(

Your dad must be a cop huh? :)

  • @luvmyctd ..My uncles were cops ,my sister also.As for the 9/11/01 lies from Richard Gage..I dont believe because I was part of the resuce and knew what was going on at that time...I like that lady with the red hair..wished she had my babies..but I am already married..

  • @blueshadow1996 Very easy to see who has cops in their family from the comments & easy to understand why, no matter what the facts show, you will never see anything with an open mind. Your minds are set in stone and you always have each others back regardless.

The families of the first respondents who are dead and still dying today are the ones looking for answers about 9/11. The official story from Bush & Cheney is full of outright lies & these families deserve the truth. Very simple to me.

  • @luvmyctd ..What answers are they looking for?.As for What Pres Bush and VP Cheney could tell anyone because maybe there are not at liberty to tell certain things...Security reasons.

  • "Cops are just people trying to do their jobs" That is until they violate peoples rights, then they are criminals. And if the system won't prosecute them, the people must seek justice on their own.

  • @steveaustin71 why do they violate peoples rights? o wait first of all some dumbasses like you like dangerous stuff such as break windows of every shop seen, set cars on fire and trust me they had it at my home town to.

  • @SomeGuyOnFirefox OK, well if they arrested people for breaking windows and setting cars on fire, why did 99% of those detained get released with NO charges? They let the tiny percentage that caused trouble do as they pleased, and then violently assaulted and detained almost a thousand people who did nothing illegal. Your argument that these people deserved the treatment they got is stupid as the police had NO grounds for charges OR detainment in 99% of the cases.

  • Ok so if they were lawbreaking vandals, why were 99% of them violently assaulted and detained and then RELEASED with NO charges. Your argument is pure crap. They allowed the vandals to do as they pleased, and then detained almost a thousand people with no basis for arrest whatsoever.

  • Yah because he was a cop and so was Wally in the checker pants man..

What they are doing here is a strategic extraction of Cops hidden in and amongst the Crowd trying to get things going. They are plants man.. and this is the cops way of pulling them out before they start implementing (the clean up of all the good guys, the peaceful protesters)...

  • Do you understand that the police MUST break up these protests because it is their job? Too many idiot protesters go over the top when their 'peaceful protesting' turns into setting cars on fire, breaking windows, and lashing out at cops who are DOING THEIR JOB. Youre an idiot to if you think police are going out looking for a fight. They are protecting those who want to protest peacefully by arresting those going over the top. ugghh, I cant believe i live among the ppl that buy into this crap.

  • @Charperm - let's assume that 100 people damaged property (let's also assume that none of them were agent provocateurs inciting people to violence) and let us also assume that there were over 10,000 people protesting in the streets during the G20: How many cops did they have in riot gear to arrest 1% of the protesters? How many peaceful protesters were detained or arrested when the cops coralled everyone? BTW - being arrested doesn't mean you committed a crime.

  • @anarchien When the protesting gets out of control, that is when they MUST step in...that means the protest is over, everyone go home. BUT instead, some people can't grasp the concept and things GO OVER THE TOP. Its just like when two children are fighting over a toy or not playing nicely with it...you can encourage them to play nicely or the consequence is that you take the toy away. SAME THING.

  • @Charperm

It's clear from what you just said that you're guessing. That's not how it works. If it were, all it would take was one cop in disguise to throw a rock, and 100,000 people could be beaten up, arrested, and jailed for 24 hours without food, water, medication, or toilets. No, a protest isn't over when one person breaks the law. Protest is a protected right. Educated yourself please, or refrain from spreading misinformation at the very least.

  • @Charperm - But you're right, with only a grade 12 education what should we expect of these guys with a gun and no moral compass? How many of them have every read the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms or even understand the principles inherent in those fundamental rights? You are right, too many of them were just doing their job as enforcers of public compliance to laws that they lack the education to comprehend and to laws that were inappropriately applied.

  • @anarchien What needs to be pointed out is how easy it is to become C.O.P.S. (Criminally organized political servants) No formal education, no classes to teach the Charter of Rights, No psychiatric course traingin how to deal with urban stress situations. A simple background check, reference check, gun training 3 months your done! Its no wonder the majority are megalomaniac, violent ignoramuses who use force to violate peoples freedoms & detain them like slaves. Legal Gun ownership = Freedom

  • @Charperm You're an idiot to believe cops are saints, I've worked for them & quit my job because they are violently obsessed & deranged looking for a fight. These cops were your school yard bully or hall monitor growing up & are now given weapons & card blanche to do & say what ever they want even if it means taking your life. Hopefully you get caught jay walking like the pussy you are & get handed a ticket. Your big mouth will get you tazered, before you die you can lick your masters boot.

  • @D33Lux Obviously you were the one being bullied in school. I have seen both sides of law enforcement, and YOU are an idiot to put all cops in one category. Really, think about how ignorant that is...

  • The protection of Canadian's civil liberties does not exist under the Canadian Criminal Code. You are not innocent until proven guilty while being assaulted during a 'detention' in Canada. The onus is on the person being arrested (however violently) to prove that the arresting officer(s) have acted outside of their jurisidiction and a reasonable enforcement of the law in order to maintain the peace and security of the public. This is not the way it should be it is the way it is in Canada. PttP!

  • at the end of the day the only question u need to ask is "What would there parents thinks".

  • Of course running red lights is a crime ask anyone who has had a loved one murdered by someone who decided to run a red light.

  • What happen here was a incredible injustice for the people of Toronto and Canada, there rights were tossed out, brutalized and were in no way acting aggressively, they WERE victims of the police, the police acted like nothing more then criminals they would normally put in jail treating innocent people as criminals ignoring there rights and treating them like how you would think people were treated in war camps, no phone calls, little to no water or food, tossing children in there for over 24hs
