  • I like it vtecs r wayyy too hated on!!! Fuck muscle cars

  • Yea I hit vtec out of my high school once and my S2K threw me out of 1st cause it was cold.

  • LOL missed second

  • sounds like a pissed off bumble bee.... c'mon now, you need for more pistons.

  • thats one way to save money.

  • That sounds like Herby -___-

  • Okay come on four bangers please stop

  • that sounds soooo sexy!

  • @AgentStyles Speed has never killed anyone, it never has, suddenly becoming stationary... that’s what gets you.

  • i like the sound of pure vtec with no cat or mufflers holding it back

  • What a clean install 0_____________o

Do it right or don't do it at all.. Well, at least outside of the honda world.

  • Second is straight down from first..lol

  • Check out my s2000 vid and injoy

  • im sorry but it sounds like a ricer just that super raspy honda engine sound dont get me wrong though i do like the S2K

  • @monstermiataman Sounds like power to me.

  • @thatdude2212 everyone has their own opinion i personally think it sounds like shit you think it sounds like power

  • @monstermiataman Yeah I feel you, hondas do have a raspy sound. But that car is far from rice.

  • @thatdude2212 dont get me wrong i like the car its not rice it just sounds like it

  • 0:48 damn you should ahve baught an auto

  • soundssick

  • hah missed 2nd there

  • @AgentStyles well said dude!

  • To be fair, if your kid doesn't notice a big, red, (very) loud sportscar then I think you should be concerned. I'm not saying it was right for the driver to go speeding through a residential area, but if your attention isn't drawn to this car visually or audibly then ther has to be a problem of some sort. Also, those of you laughing at the guy for missing a gearchange, what you're saying is you've never made a mistake while driving. You've never stalled or missed a gearchange? I don't think so.

  • why are people bashing him about missing second he clearly said it in his description, and the straight pipe sounds bad ass man, sounds like a litl cbr1000 on roids O.O lmfaoo

  • sounds nice

  • sounds shitty

  • @MrConcertkid u sound shitty haha

  • ahaha way to miss 2nd kid

  • Comment removed

  • MISSED SECOND! bahahahahahahhahahahaha

  • @FenderBassman155 more than likely, it threw him out of first because his transmission was still cold... S2000s do that.

  • did u miss a gear

  • @AgentStyles

DAMN! RIGHT?! Shit I only speed (excessively) when it's a open straight away and fairly safe. I don't want to endanger someone elses life, but mine.. eh maybe :D

  • what a pile...get a truck and go mudding thats more fun the rip racing around on the street like a total douche

  • @Pennsyltuckey92 5 year old kids play in the mud, when you grow up maby you will under stand real racing

  • Okay.. but dont tell none of u guys ever missed 2nd gear.. happened to everyone... but this guy is on youtube, so we can talk shit about him with no prob! :) nice S2k tho

  • sorry i forgot to warm my tranny up lmao! XD

  • aw yeeea!! thats amazing! sounds like a day at the track if you ask me!!

  • @PlatinumRacing; WTF, you told someone on here that they are responsible once they get a license, car, job and kid? Then why are you spending hours of your day ranting and whining on YouTube? Don't you have a kid to take care of? I'm 17; I have a job, car, and a license, but no kid. Does that make me irresponsible??

  • @L96AW12693 Just beyond retarded.

  • shit sound burn this car

  • Sould like an Airplane

  • Damn, I like it. Sounds beast.

  • "PlatinumRacing"'s comment makes little to no sense in context...Car mods don't automatically do any of those, nor do they automatically make you irresponsible, and there are tons of 50+ers that enjoy a well-tuned loud exhaust.

  • @JekHawkins my dad for example. hes 64 and drives a s13 with a rb26. kinda weird seeing him in it but hey he enjoys it haha

  • He is 100% correct about cold shifting/driving. Gears are super sticky. I mean it's not so smart to hit vtec without even warming it up... But life goes on!

I own an ap1 and won't drive it even until the bars are at 4. It's almost a completely different car when it's cold.

  • @IvIav3n yeah i wouldnt do that without warming up. my accord 6 spd has been acting like that. my trans is going though. when its cold its awful. hard to go between gears. bad syncros and bearings, only time you dont hear a whine is clutch in AND out of gear. sucks because i just got a new clutch/fw a couple months back. i hope i make it through the winter.. if not ill be parting out everything to afford a trans

  • @platinumracing ........chill the fuck out daddy, just cause your days are over, dont get all grumpy and have a heart attack

  • please put your stock exhaust back. Youre ruining the joy of having a S2000! Its sounds like shit!

  • Cutting off the mufflers dose not mean straight piped lol

  • S2000's are ok but I think I'll stick with my corvette simply because a v8 always sounds better :). Never liked the sound of a straight pipe 4 banger but it's no matter what better than a fartcannon...

  • Don't quite understand a lot of the hostility. My 2000 S2000, red like this one, is quite simply, a great car. It does 0-60 in about 5.5, quarter mile in 13.9 at 100 mph. If I'm on a long trip and keep it at 70 mph in 6th I can easily get 34 mpg. My only issue with the car is I do find the rear end "twitchy" when driving flat out on curves. Also, over 10 years, I've alternated between Toyos and Bridgestones. It doesn't matter. The car eats rear tires for breakfast. Great car.

  • sounds better than my gf's farts

  • great!!! now your car sounds like its going fast but its really not! gotta love hondas

  • when you open it up it sounds fantabulous! big fucking deal he missed 2nd. it happens, just enjoy the car.

  • dude soo sick. love the straight pipe. very rally car like. plus i like 4 cylinders as well. nice vid.

  • Sounds like shit and this is coming from an S2000 fan.

  • when does vtec kick in yo?!

  • i love the 2sk vtec, its crazy, my bro-n-law has one and the vtec kicks from like 6k to 9k, its crazy

  • Why is everyone giving this guy grief. I personally wouldnt give a shit if this guy did what he did, outside my house in his S2K....partly because i have one too haha! Its just a video to show you what it would sound like with straight pipes...nothing more, nothing less. Its not a road safety video, its not an animal rights protest video, its not a human rights video......ITS A FUCKING S2K VIDEO! If you hate it, dont watch it...idiots. As if there arent enough haters in the world.

  • if someone hauled balls down my street in an s2k all day long... i probably wouldnt get tired of it

  • If I pulled this hard up and down a road near where I live the cops would show up in a minute.

  • I get a dirty crunch from the syncros if I give her beans in first, it's like the first spoonful of Frosties in the morning mmmm!

  • My trans on my s2k isnt very nice when its cold...

  • wow. sounds beast.

by the way guys. this was basically done for shits and giggles. there's really no reason to be mad at this guy for having some fun.

  • Waking up the neighbors huh?

Track day my friend, you'll have fun.

  • fuck that sounds hectic !!!

  • This car no longer exists ... He totalled it .. serves him right for being such an immature P.O.S.

  • @CJWULF777

some how you know about me?? Car still exists and is driven everyday thank you.

  • "Tranny was still cold" wtf fail.

  • @Ragingmaja

You would understand if you owned this car. Can't shift for shit unless you drive a bit to warm the trans.

  • @HvRRZ I'm sorry but I've never heard of such a thing. I've driven a cold s2000 and had no problem shifting.

  • @Ragingmaja

I've heard it being a common thing for owners. I was able to warm the motor(can't engage vtec unless you do so- atleast 4-5 bars on the ap2 model) but didn't drive it around to warm the trans before going through the gears. Makes it very hard to shift smoothly, especially into second which is notchy enough even warm.

  • @Ragingmaja its true the tranny does take time to warm up

  • @Ragingmaja i have a 2006 S2000 and on a semi cold day and start the gear box is a little stiff and not so easy to go through as quick. the same on my previous AP1 2001

  • sounds like Fast and the Furious lol

  • hahaha miss second much?

  • sounds liek an f430 lol

  • ahahaha miss gear but nice

  • LOL kool

  • the sound of straight pipe tuners piss me off. all the sound minus half the speed

  • damn i have never heard that before i will have to use that next time i miss a gear. "Hey sorry man i miss that gear because my tran was cold." hahahaha that is some funny fuckin shit!!!!!

  • @turnerjeffn87

Do you own a honda or drive honda's, or work on any car's of your own for that matter? I'm tired to seeing youtube comments where people are talking shit but only show they have no idea what they are talking about... It is common knowledge that you have to warm up the honda 6-speed transmissions such as an RSX/DC5 and the s2000. do some research before you talk shit next time, please, then we can all be spared from this false bullshit all over youtube

  • @VA99GS hahahahaha do my research get a life and get a real car. DTM is the only way to go. I was into JDM cars but then i did my research and realized they are shit cars. So bro get a life and stop making youtube dream. YOU FUCKIN LOSER!!!!!!!

  • @turnerjeffn87

ok so what are you even trying to say dude? your response has nothing to do at all with the comment. Yet again, you show you stupid and immature you are. Maybe you should learn about cars before you talk shit on posts on youtube and expect not to be corrected. You made a false statement, I corrected you and told you the truth.. So other than you being a moron, your point is.....????

  • @turnerjeffn87

and DTM refers to the driving series for German cars, which is similar to BTCC. DTM and JDM are not even talking about the same category when it comes to cars... There are german cars, and japanese cars. there is german racing (DTM) and japanese racing. don't get them confused, because obviously you need to do some reading before posting. thanks

  • @turnerjeffn87 if you owned an s2k you would know what he was talking about

  • @turnerjeffn87 ...its happened to me before.

  • I hate missing gears sooo bad. today i was drivin my FA5 and was like, imma push it, and i missed third. its so embarassing lol.

  • @jylon42990400 Haha I know, it's like an instant self esteem kill and I kinda just hate myself,

  • lmao "missed a gear cause its cold"? thats a new one for me. i live in new york and my S2k never missed a gear. just admit you fucked up. it happens to everyone who drives a standard sooner or later. its no big deal. oh and i love the people who actually are trying to "fight" about this. that just shows how many toddlers there are on this website

  • nothing sounds like a v-tec

  • dude transmission dont need to warm up this isnt 1962 you just cant drive

  • @offitcock aside from the fact he missed a gear. anything with moving parts needs to be warmed up. its the reason some vehicles last and others don't. that was a newb comment. feel free to hate, im just disagreeing with you

  • @KnyphsEdge dude it doesnt have to be warmed up to get into gear, it just doesnt

  • @offitcock

    I do not agree buddy.

When idling the car to heat it up slowly (as an engine is supposed to be heaten), that doesn't mean the oil, gearbox-oil and differential oil are at 90°C, to make things worse, honda uses a sporty gearbox which needs some operating temperature as well.

I drive a EUDM civic type R and 2nd gear is hard to use when cold. After driving 5 minutes that's fixed however

This means, this guy could idle his car for 30 minutes, yet drive a cold gearbox and miss gear

  • @Sweetearthslug I have a 2003 S2000 and 2nd gear IS hard to get into when cold. You can get the transmission to warm up, but you'd need to let the car idle 15-20 minutes. Exhaust runs right next to the transmission, so yes it is possible to warm it up. Still, you should always take it easy within the first 5-10 minutes of moving.

  • my mate has a 25 year old 925 and its more than willing to rev up every gear from the word go granted it isnt a honda but you'll forgive my stubborness in this matter

  • my mate has a 25 year old 924 and it's more than willing to rev right through the gearbox from the get go granted it isnt a honda but maybe you can forgive my stubborness on this matter

  • sounds like shit

  • sounds like shit

  • you either missed second or you suck at driving which is it? and btw my weed wacker sounds better

  • Miss shift on a ap2 wow

  • sounds pretty nice but the initial first few seconds sounds like a american muscle kinda and im not a fan of that but when you took off it sounded sick

  • v-tec just kicked in yo! ;D

  • ricer

  • @krissyt67 ur so stupid.

  • yea it sounded mad good runnning through the gears

  • is this the original S2000 with the 2.0 litre engine that revs to nine grand, or is this the version Honda made later-on with the 2.2 litre?

  • imagine: this plus ITBs...

  • Haha just watching the part when you missed 2nd is making this video worth watching. Poor driver i guess?

  • of course you missed 2nd.

  • thats a piss poor reason to miss 2ed "the tranny was cold"... what dose that have to do with hiting the clutch and moving your hand at the right time... but all in all i like the car!!!!

  • omg... sounds soooooo sexy, haha like a bike lolz

  • missed gears

  • did the first year 2000 s 2000 have single pipe exhaust?

  • i think most 4 bangers sound like crap without some sort of great racing can on the back to smooth the rasp... unless its a turbo like the evo 8 i had. then no cat no muffler !!!! lol i just had a tip on a 3.5 str8 pipe and aftermarket downpipe do any people convert s2000 to a single can out ? any dyno results

  • @xdux the cans are what makes them sound crappy. No one in their right mind would convert a true dual exhaust back to single.

  • @NitroGadvRules ok cuz i know on motorycycles some people convert stock dual canned bikes ( like the rc51 and 06 - on zx10r , etc... ) to single and make more tq and horse. i remember even seeing that done on the cbr1100xx blackbird way back when. i know cars are different just wondering if ever had better dyno going from dual to single

  • @NitroGadvRules Its not the can that makes them sound crappy, its the engine layout and firing order. Look at the Subaru boxer 4 engines.... Nice, deep, throaty sound with great tone. Now look at the Honda and Toyota I4 motors. Loud, monotone, not grumbly, they sound totally tame like a hairdryer. Engine configuration has more to do with exhaust sound than the muffler. For example, you can't make a 4 banger sound like a V8 no matter what muffler you have. Look this shit up before you post.

  • @PlatinumRacing I have a V8, i know its the engine config but the can exhausts are dumb.

  • @NitroGadvRules Agreed. Can exhausts are for pussies. Buy a Flomaster 40 you pussies.

  • @PlatinumRacing you my friend are retarded that engine is high pitched because its a high compression engine, a subaru is a low compression engine and it sounds like that cuz its a boxter engine... god people are stupid

  • @SRTR6 If I'm retarded then why did you post essentially the same thing as me only with worse spelling and grammar? I mentioned how engine layout was responsible for the way a car sounds. And its not called a Boxter engine, it's a BOXER engine. And all this shit about compression ratios being the most important part of how a car sounds is preposterous. First and foremost, its the layout of the engine. A V8, a V6, boxer 4, inline 4, V-Twin, look it up dumbass.

  • @PlatinumRacing dude just shutup you make yourself sound dumber and dumber with every post... learn something about cars before you try to argue with someone jackass

  • @SRTR6 I know nothing about cars and you think a horizontally opposed engine is called a BOXTER. You're the dumbass. The Boxter is a model of Porsche, the Boxer is a type of engine, I should know, I fucking own one. The truth is, engine layout and camshaft selection makes the biggest impact on sound when it comes to actual engine noise at the headers. BTW, I guaran-fucking-tee I know way more about what you're talking about than you do. Test me. Teenagers think they know everything huh?

  • @PlatinumRacing dude you drive a chick car... enough said

  • @SRTR6 Which one? I currently have 3 cars. A 1997 Pathfinder for the child on the way, my 1992 Legacy L Project car, and my 1986 F150 that I'm trying to get rid of. What do you drive pussy, a 1991 Honda Del Sol?

  • @PlatinumRacing nice collection of junk cars

  • @SRTR6 At least I can say I bought all of them with money I earned. What kind of car did your parents buy you? Or do they not love you enough to buy you a car?

  • @PlatinumRacing dude you play with remote control cars just be quiet

  • @SRTR6 So I take it you don't have a car. And for your information, I do play with R/C cars. Expensive, gas and electric powered, racing R/C cars most of which cost upwards of $400. Some are worth over $1,000 (Mostly my antique stuff). So even if you did have a car (Which I'm assuming you don't since you won't tell me what it is) I bet I have an R/C car that costs more. Call me a nerd all you want, I work hard for my "Toys". Judge freely, I don't give a shit.

  • @SRTR6 aye pimpin, i'm not hatin and i'm no expert but that platinum guy is right. BOXTER=a model of Porsche, BOXER=engine type. i.e. the wrx has a BOXER engine, u just got the words crossed no biggie. Peace.

  • @Aucteg porsche put boxer engines in their cars way before subaru, what kind of engine do you think is in the porsche boxter?

  • @SRTR6 Ur absolutely right, but i think what Platinum was trying to say is that you previously called it "BOXSTER ENGINE" when u probally meant to say "BOXER ENGINE" since the porsche boxster is'nt the only porsche with a boxer engine.

  • @Aucteg ya i mixed up my words my bad dog

  • i actually like the sound of it...

  • sounds great hi rev. listen, if you dont like it, dont put your shitty comments up

  • sounds like shit

  • i like all the people bitching about you speeding in a residential area. probablly just bitching cos they don't like an s2000

  • @lastdayfight i love s2000 i drove 2 of em at carmax, just dont like pissing off neighbors. once an old man came at me with a machete in my neighborhood

  • stupid asz ricer ur supposed to do this to an 91 honda accord, not an actual decent honda.

  • This sounds so cool in the high RPMs! :D Sounds too "ricey" in idle, but sounds mean, when it's revved ^^

  • Reading through some of these comments, sounds like Platinum & ostrr 910 sound a little jealous, or they must have been spanked by an S a few times. Don't get me wrong , I've built and owned some of the strongest American steel ever produced including a 68 Dodge Charger with a 426 but after purchasing one of these for my wife and blowing the doors off almost everything I've run up against on the street, it sound like sour grapes to me. The S is a true sports car exhaust on or off.

  • Fast or not, the guy is acting like a douche... Would you like a loud ass car doing speed runs outside your house at 60MPH & 9K RPM? You not only have to be annoyed by a crazy loud car accelerating for no good reason, but you also have to worry about some jackass running over your kids, cat, or slamming into your parked car. His actions are typical of young kids with fast cars. He's driving like an asshole in a residential area. Gimme negative votes all you want, the guy's a prick.

  • i agree.....actually..

  • @PlatinumRacing lol ur just a pussy

  • @iComeRealStealth You're like 12. Shouldn't you ask for your parents permission before using the internet?

Come back to this thread when you get a job, a car, a license, and a kid then we can talk about responsibility.

  • @PlatinumRacing

fast or not, its his car and he should have the right to do whatever he wants to it as for modifications as long as the car is emissions legal and the cops don't mind it. Whats the point of looking up a straight pipe video to post a negative comment? I have seen motorcycles a lot louder than this on the road, and i have friends that have straight pipe set ups and nobody seems to bother them.

  • @BluesmanFraser He should have the right to break speed limits? Endanger my children? Endanger my pets? Endanger my parked car? Annoy neighbors? I'm sure the cops would mind it. If I had a dollar every time I got pulled over in a loud car when I was your age I'd be a very rich man. Eventually you grow up and grow out of it. There are lots of things that can happen that a car going 65MPH can't stop in time for. That's why speed limits exist. I enjoy powerful cars too, but responsibility is key.

  • @PlatinumRacing

    where did you get 65mph?

  • @HvRRZ You Lie. You say you left second gear and went straight onto the brakes? I watched your video and I saw you go straight from first at the high end of your tach and straight into second where you drove the car into the high end of your tach again. You started to slow down right before you would've needed to shift into third. Considering you almost hit the limiter in second, and the S2000 hits 66MPH in second, I'd say you're full of shit.

  • @PlatinumRacing

Well for one considering you CAN'T see my tach...you have no clue what you're talking about. I never got near redline in second. Shift, on throttle then off. That's it. So shut it.

  • @HvRRZ Dude, watch your own video. You hit second and keep going.

  • @HvRRZ His name is PlatinumRacing. He just likes to think he knows everything about cars/driving/racing. Don't mind the wannabe ricer.

  • @HvRRZ HvRRZ is right

  • @PlatinumRacing Dude he had two different runs, so which you talking about. Keep in mind the s2000 has 9000 rpms to work with, and I'd say he was doing about 6 grand each time he shifted

  • @PlatinumRacing idkay bout s2000 but my gsr can go 72 in second

  • @HvRRZ he was thinkin how fast my dick was goin in and out ya mom butthole (i dunno im high)

  • @PlatinumRacing its a good thing we have internet parents on youtube, i drive slower now and i am gonna grow up and cut off my magnaflow and put back on the stock exhaust so i dont annoy my neighbors

  • @PlatinumRacing shut up you bitch you've obviously never driven an s2000 or any other small 2 seat sports car from japan. 100 km/h in an s2000 is nothing you could slow down as easily as a van going 30 km/h no problem. your just some soccer mom or man titted van driving pussy who shouldnt be watching this video anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @testpipedh22a Fuck up riceboy. I wouldn't drive an S2000 if I had the chance because its pointless. VTEC & Honda motors in general are torqueless. How an engine can have that little torque is an amazing feat of engineering only Honda could achieve. An S2000 has the same horsepower as a V6 Charger with the same torque as an old Hyundai Elantra at an RPM range that's totally impractical. I don't care what you drive, you can't stop any car going 60 MPH in 15'. Your body can't react that fast.

  • @PlatinumRacing s2000's aren't about raw power, easy to tell you are a pony car guy. the engine is mounted behind the front axle, gas tank in front of the rear axle, driver's seat is behind the center of gravity. all this engineering means it is a driver's car, not a middle age crisis car, same as a miata. a lot of people consider it a womans car, but car enthusiasts consider it one of the world's best handling cars.

  • @PlatinumRacing Dont get me wrong. I get what your saying. But you come here, on youtube. Start preaching about responsibility, courtesy, and all that good stuff, and yet here you are being the biggest hypocrite. You've completely disrespected this guys video by spamming obnoxious comments at everyone that has an opposing opinion then you. Its kinda ridiculous. You may have kids and responsibilities but that OBVIOUSLY didn't make you any more mature then those "18 year olds" your talking about.

  • @PlatinumRacing lmao you think that car was built with torque in mind?

these cars are made for GOOD drivers that can track a car and *downshift.

you can drive your torque-oriented cars that are built for drivers that prefer upshifting in a straight line for 10 seconds.

you cant down talk a honda for not having torque they werent built for it.

Now if the s2000 failed on the track, then you could talk it down, but it doesn't.

If its not the car for you watch a diff video homie.

  • @PlatinumRacing Your like one of those old faggots that yell and throw thier hands in the air screaming SLOW DOWN! when im cruising threw a neighborhood. don't worrie about what other people are doing with their lives and trying to have fun worrie about your own life.
