Damn good song man. I've been working with Reason for about a year and just upgraded to Reason 5 with Record 1.5 and have been loving it. One question - there's a million resources for tutorials on how to do this stuff. How did you learn? I do alright until I get to messing with filter envelopes and things like that. Good work - it sounds great.
@TheHevquip Great words. I've been DJing a lot lately, and have been doing just those things! I've become more open to side-chaining, and my new kicks are pretty deep. When I started playing bigger parties, I could do some experimenting during sound check...and my tracks sounded a little weak on the low end. Pumping the bass has helped dramatically! Thanks for the post man!
@TheAmpdProject i loves me some (actually not some, A LOT) sidechaining. didn't even know about it until a year ago when i switched over to making dance music and have to figure out how to get that pump. it's funny how i've been playing guitar and making glitchy music for 10 years and can come up with anything, yet i still struggle with some things in dance music, even though musically, it's components are simpler, so it forces you to be creative in other ways.
@czaezaar Hey man! Sorry for the late response. Basically, I experimented with the Scream distortion, as well as with some of the other distortion based units. It was one of those things that I kind of stumbled upon!
@thecolortech I AM TERRIBLE WITH REPLYING. I will start uploading way more of these...All of these songs are old now. I've actually been messing with many different tempo variations lately.
@daveashe You know, I actually did not know that until you made this comment 5 months ago....I'll have you know that all of my songs now utilize multiple racks :) So, I say to you: Thanks!

i know you usually do metal and stuff, but some advice for a track like would be:
it's dance music, turn the bass way up.
it's dance music, sidechain the hell out of everything.
and that's all :)

you know you can drag the instruments left and right, as many racks as you want?
