They weigh alot more than 3 tons, 8 to 10 tons for these locos.

@govan44 Why on earth wouldn't it be safe? They're travelling at a maximum of 25 mph, and do so every day on that stretch of line. The only difference is the parallel aspect, but they're signalled anyway.
