I remember when i had my MC Hammer pants...I couldn't wear them on windy days cause I might have blown away....I think they were even splatter painted...lol
Parachute pants, i wore jeans, then my I went over my friends house, borrowed a pair because we played in the dirt (yeah, we played out side back in the day) then my mom bought me two pairs. A couple years back, I sent them to the Philippines......suckers lol
Brings back so many memories... I was a Sea World of Central Florida Marine Animal Keeper back then and we would rescue manatees and dolphins on the coast seeing people dressed up on their Seadoo with these colors. Haaa! Fun times! :-D
@lauriejennifer No worries! :-D Oh, I too am minor dyslexic... Although, where I work requires one to focus and think out of the box in order to save lives in the emergency room. There will alway's be a place for us Lauriejellifer...:-D!
Oh! The KTM ride went brilliantly well that day after you posted the video. Thank you for poking me here in Oregon to Ride!!! Keep up the fab work. We all love it!!!
Definitely needed to pause the video to read the text, I was born in '77, my biggest fashion blunders were corduroy pants, short shorts and a mullet. Everything I had in the late '80's early '90's was neon (I still like neon in-fact) and our house had cheap wood panelling.
@D00mM4r1n3 Corduroy is awesome! But short shorts and mullets? Man, that's awful. Neon is cool and all... but everything in moderation! Haha. Wood paneling! Yes! Haha!
I also was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s but I went to a private elementary school with uniforms and during the weekends I just wore jeans and t-shirts cuz I was a bit of a tomboy, so I didn't really have many of my own fashion faux pas, but I do remember owning a few slap bracelets and neon colored scrunchies... haha :D
@KeriNyx You narrowly escaped, it sounds like. Scrunchies! Yes! Haha! Slap bracelets were the bomb! They were banned in our school, as kids were getting rashes and mild burns on their wrist from slapping the bracelet on over and over. There were also contests and games where you would slap bracelets on each other as hard as you could. I don't think those games had a point. I think that was the point.
Growing up in the '90's, I remember people wearing those puffy, matching pant and jacket suits that made the "swish-swish-swish" noise whenever they moved. They were almost always in neon colors. I think they were made of polyester but I'm not sure... My mother made me wear those things.
@MsRandomness Ha, yes! Those 90's business suits made we wonder how on earth anyone got a job! Then again, the 90's was a "boom" time... Maybe I should show up for the next job interview wearing a suit like that? I'm sorry your mother subjected you to that. Child abuse!
You totally cut out my little blurb and used it as a way to make Suzuki sound bad. GRRR.
My first bike was a 91 Katana 750 and it was painted a mirage color scheme... but under that paint was a bright, neon pink color. The bike originally was neon hot pink with lavender purple wheels and a purple seat. It's like, Suzuki took such a great bike and then painted it to look like ... ash? cash? pass? something that rhymes with those....
@dodgerider26 Haha! Well, I don't think it made Suzuki sound bad. You said it was a great bike. What sounded bad was Suzuki's sense of fashion. And, let's face it, the 90's were a dark time for fashion...
@tonythephatone Haha! It was a great line. Glad it made you smile. He's a great vlogger. Random, epic stuff like that is always coming out of his mouth.
@lauriejennifer lol don't feel bad, i feel the same way when me and my friends talk about the good 90s cartoons and some random kid don't know what were talking about. I feel so bad for them and die a little inside.
@HappyGizmo993 The 90's were the golden age of cartoons. I used to want to be Darkwing Duck when I grew up. And when a coworker was giving me a ride home after work today, we were reminiscing about the 90s and ended up singing Ren and Stimpy's "It's a Log!" song together. Haha. Good times.
I paused it like a BOSS lol good I can't read that fast. I was born in 1974 so I lived in the dark times. the funny part is I always liked bikes and the owtlaw thing 1% not that I'm one just a fan so no pink for me been doing the blue jeans and black t-shirt since 1989. Still fun to look back and LMAO at what the fashonable was doing.
My best fashion story: I wore a purple shirt, in like...94/95/96 something. And I had this fluffy bowl-cut hair style. My mom took me to mcdonalds and they gave me the barbie happy meal instead of the hotwheels one. Good times.
@Dexi Haha! I had a neon green shirt with multi-colored neon spandex and multicolored neon shoes (one with hot pink laces, one with hot green laces). My hair was often short as a kid, as it was just easier to keep up with. I was a tomboy and long hair would just get tangled and dirty. But, the short hair, combines with the gender neutrality of the colors I wore means that I also was often mistaken for the wrong gender in public.
I work at a dealership, and for an inner city ministry.
