This was not a good fight. And that guy quickly learned why exploding and using all the unnecessary energy to try to win is a big way to fail. All the other guy had to do was play "neutral" and let him wear himself out. Not shortly after the guy became puddy. It's the same thing I do when I feel beginners use all their energy. I let them use it.

@nibbulist I can't call this fighting. It are two people acting like animals. Now I'm not saying that mma isn't a fighting sport, people like fedor or alistair (etc.) are what I call real fighters. They can control their techniques. They know what they're doing, they don't jus build muscles and try to choke eachother out. There is some kind of philosophy behind their strategies that makes them real fighters and not just uncontrolled body builders.

UFC has all those rules and regulations to protect the fighters, not to make the sport worse or anything. in the beginning, it was a really bloody sport, but to be accepted, they had to have safety regulations implimented.

That would be Wanderlei Silva, and many grapplers today from Brazil are excellent boxers as well, i.e. Anderson Silva , Lyota Machida, Vitor Belfort, Gesias Calavanti, Whoever the last fight from UFC 100 is...all Brazilian and most of these guys are black belts save Gesias (brown I think), and all of them have a separate stand up game worthy of boxing alone.
