I suspect that if there is no proof of de jure discrimination that the courts won't overrule this law. A simple immigration inquiry isn't invasive, and should therefore not be a violation of a person's fourth amendment rights. The cops will be wary of questioning people without something to justify the action...

And apparently you have never read how the Supreme Court has interpreted reasonable suspicion, and the fact that it doesn't require much tangible evidence. I suspect that if there is no proof of de jure discrimination that the courts won't overrule this law. A simple immigration inquiry isn't invasive, and should therefore not be a violation of a person's fourth amendment rights. The cops will be wary of questioning people without something to justify the action...
