  • Awesome!! Love both of them!!

  • @pablost07 broken is a ep not a album. Just letting you.

  • Saw this live. Seeing Trent Reznor wave his hands around and ask, "Where my niggas at?" in MEMPHIS was seriously one of the most surreal things I've ever seen.

  • wikid.

  • wow this is amazing

  • brilliant !!!

  • the censorship sucks anyway, but did that just censor "everyone"?

  • DAMN, Trent's gotten buff!!!! He's huge. Thx for the video - this was great!!

  • Lol he got buff like six years ago

  • REVOLUTION NOW

  • Or maybe next week or something, we're a bit busy at the moment.

  • This is a brilliant mix. I remember when Trent scored Natural Born Killers he said that if he and Ice Cube ever got together they would change the world.

  • Alex Carapetis Is the drummer here, Am I right?

  • yes

  • Ok! Thanx!

  • whats the second song they play? the first is list of demands but whats the second called?

  • wish

  • Wish (Nine Inch Nails circa '92)

  • Wish is in one of the best CDs of NIN, "Broken" album and TDS are the best!!! (Every NIN's album are the best BTW...)

  • the crowd should be more pumped. this song rocks.

  • i'm not afraid of you, i'm just a victim of your fear

  • you guys r no idiots ill give you that i'm 13 and i had no idea wat this was about but saul and NIN are both in my top 10 fav bands with jane's addiction and rage thanks for the meaning

  • good stuff

Fluoridization of water was used in Nazi concentration camps and Russian gulags to induce hypothyroidism in their captives, thus pacifying them.

Now we willingly pump it in our watersupplies even though most other countries dont and we have an equal instance of cavities as them. according to WHO

The fluoride we put in the water comes as a by-product of fertilizer production and is not the same shit as in toothpaste. fluorosilic acid

iodine removes fluoride from the body

  • Best comedian ever!

  • whats that in reference to?

  • cane out in nuremburg

  • lyrics?

  • hey man you know i ussualy get songs but

    whats this one about?

  • Reparations for slavery.

  • epic song at a time that it really mattered and needed to be heard

  • "God's just a baby and her diaper is red..." I love that phrase.

  • Oops, I ment wet of course...

  • notice no close up face shots on trennnnt

    whos callin the shots here

  • I get the message and yeah I get the lines for sure but I like the other version of Saul without the Nails best....That's my opinion....

  • Since both saul and NIN were at Lolla I kept hoping that something like this would have happened, but unfortunately it didn't. :(

  • and they said alex carapetis sucked. i think he does quite well in this

  • Great Trent reznor, great aaron north, beautiful solo!!!!

  • well i thought that was fuckin unreal

  • it cracks me up hearing an edit of "wish" live... sometimes ya just gotta hear trent say fuck, honestly

  • Oh....u mean after the 1st track. Buy "Broken" . U will never be tha same. There is only but 1 clause...it must be cranked when played. Loud as your speakers will geaux. Far cry from Ghosts. U cannot play that album any other way.

  • Geaux. Cute.

  • Ryn...Survivalism...remixed

  • whats the name of the song NIN does? I know I used to know the name but I seem to have forgotten it

  • Wish, 2 track on the Broken EP.

  • they/he do/does many songs

  • fuck me man learn how to spell!

  • Notice how people are fearful of truth. If u toldem that the Nike commercial bump was Trent they'd geaux huh?

  • Why are you fearful of spelling?

  • Ha!

  • fantastic!:D

  • Survivalismmmmms on the year zero remix got Saul onnit.

  • yea on their albums (year zero remixed and the inevitable rize and liberation of niggy tardust) they each have little parts in each

  • Industrial rap-simply brilliant!!

I hope that NIN and Saul Williams will do more things together than the result is fucking awesome!

  • fuckin' awesum wae a bonus.

  • Would be one of my favourite videos of all time, if just the producers behind the broadcasting of the show hadn't chosen to censor the whole lot. Just a school-example of how tightsass networks can ruin music (and tv) for benefit of... nothing. Sigh...

  • What artists!

  • KICK ASS, that is all I can say, these men are amazing.

  • saul is gangsta. trent is an OG.

  • heeeu excuse me, but i'm french and i dont know what is an OG, can you explain it ? (shame on me :D )

  • it all good, i'm born and raised in quebec:). O.G is Original Gangster lol.

  • grat sound, great feeling between the guys

  • Goddammit i hate fucking censorship!!!!

  • Clearly.

  • agreed. fuckers.

  • les 2 sonnent super bien et ils semblent prendre leurs pieds

  • go dig a hole and sit in it

  • shut the hell up

  • oh for fucks sake people argue so much about who is better musically out of their favorite bands, when you should really be thinking about what the songs are about, and discussing the similarities between them. it is an opinion as to who is better i love nin and Saul Williams. how can you say any musician or lyricist is terrible? Not being able to back up your view is a sign of a lack of intelligence! For example calling something 'gay', when it is not, you just do not agree.

  • Supertaaaaaaaaaaaaz!

    Trent Reznor and Saul Williams

    true Superstars~

  • Dude, Trent and Saul are gonna be unstoppable. You get the best of both worlds.

  • I totally agree...both Trent and Saul know how to rip it up in intensity.

  • whats the second song called?

  • the second song is 'wish'

  • Who knows where to get "Said the Shotgun to the Head" by Saul Williams?

  • Your local bookstore should have it. Otherwise, amazon.

  • I got it from Amazon. Also, she.

  • you can download all the records from soulseek (p2p)

  • this song is so bloody powerful

  • great

  • sweet :) great back up vocals

  • I love the agression in this. Saul remixed Survivalism and Gunshots by Computer from Year Zero. Can't you tell Saul's a fan?

  • actually trent was a fan of saul first & invited him on tour.

  • Hey that's cool numb. Thanks for letting me know.

  • The vocals are outing really nice. Great techique.

But the cuts when Trent says "fuck" are ridiculous.

  • Yes! and everyone knows that there is the word *Fuck* missing. what else could be?

    Damageing a record this way...not good :S

  • alex carpetis was not all that good. His drumming sounded highschoolish

  • well you're right he left the band because he wasn't good enough and then mr freese got in to do his shit

  • is that the random drummer that was there for a couple months

  • you're right he's alex carapetis

  • one of my favorite songs played by one of my favorite bands! what a gem of a video; this absolutely rules.

  • oh wow trent is apart of this?

  • Co-wrote several songs, produced, and generally "shaped" the albums. It's the most it's been a part of a non-NIN project since Manson's "Antichrist Superstar" in 1996.

  • Download the new album The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!

  • Any reason why i cant watch this properly? keeps cutting out and buffering.

  • Thats not youtube or your computer, thats how it sounds from all the bleeping in this video. haha

I love how they censor out 'fist'. I love you Trent Reznor.

  • What? You can hear "fist", they bleeped out the "fuck" that follows it.

  • Does anyone know if Saul opened for NIN in 2006? I travelled to Erie, PA to see them live and the opening act was a spoken artist much liek Saul. It was just the guy and a dj. The dj would play the music, and the other guy would do vocals over it. He would sometimes break off into tangents with no music. I really liked him, and since discovering Saul, I realized it may have been him. Just wondering.

  • yes it was saul

  • dude there's not uncensored version of this live performance so if you don't want to see it there's no problem i won't care about it

  • wohooooo!this is so damn good

  • I'm liking Saul williams, he does the first track on Year Zero remixed

  • Great Combination! I like this Saul Williams song and love NIN.

  • josh freese

  • Who's the new drummer nowadays?

  • Saul williams is more than somebody...he's a poetic/prophetic genius. i'm sure NIN would agree they don't perform with just anybody.

  • awesome

  • Actually..it's Saul Williams with NIN performing the beat.

  • saul williams is the best...its not NIN

  • it is NIN, this was when they were touring for year zero and saul was the supproting act. but trents backing band was playin for saul as well... if you actually watched it all you would see trent....

  • Touring for [WITH_TEETH] you mean?

I love the sound that having NIN playing the backing music adds to this already great song.

  • can't we just...listen to the music and appreciate it? i mean, if you don't like it fine, don't listen to it but don't shit on it

  • Amen

  • saul isnt just a hip-hop artist but the only poet out there with a message. =)

  • I wouldn't even consider him a hip-hop artist. Hip Hop nowadays has no soul. All they want to talk about is clothes, cars, and money. Saul realizes there are messages to get across instead of stupid "Look at all my jewelry and money."

  • word!

  • you couldnt be more right brother

  • He is not the only poet out there with a message. There are many out there like Saul. Watch past eMpTyV

  • ooo and it ends with wish?? wow favorited

  • wow this is sweet *runs off to go buy niggy*

  • What a fucking great combination! Always leave it to Trent [the producer] to pull that shit off.

In case you haven't already, check out Saul's "The Rise and Libaration of Niggy Tardust."

  • what effects are on aarons guitar? during the solo...

  • might be a type of wah pedal

  • the wish solo btw lol.

  • music isn't about the race of the person performing it. Once written, composed mixed, recorded, and released into the stream the music takes on its own existance and its own personality. Its nolonger the property of the creator instead it exists independantly so take your racist bullshit some where else like missippi

  • So you like Saul's music, but because the Aryan race says white people are superior you're gonna stick to what they tell you to say right?

If you had any brains at all you'd realize how much of a moron you just sounded by proving you're nothing more than a sheep. Although it's not surprising coming from your kind.

  • It's surprising how many people still think that way, but hell, everyone wants to feel better then someone else without doing anything, right?

I mean, he gets to bitch about someone's skin colour, and Saul gets to hang out with Trent Reznor. So, yeah, I'm sure Saul's real broken up about some idiot flaming him to fell better about himself.^^

  • HAHAHA...you are a unintelligent piece of shit.

  • Aryans are persians

  • Why can't I bury your comment a thousand times?

  • Hey genius, did you know that aryan is an indian word? An aryan is anyone who is white, brown, or persian. If your going to be racist, don't use the term aryan.

  • The typical ignorant white supremacist wouldn't know where the Aryan name came from due to their 7th grade education. They use the word because their inbred daddy Richard Butler told them to. A bunch of sheep they all are.

  • Not that it is extremely important. Aryan or Arian (alternate spelling) is an english word derived from Sanscrit (a dead language) meaning noble or honorable. Kind of hard not to associate it with racism. The Nazi-era painted some pretty negative effects to the word "Aryan". It is no different then other words that have been overly misused and are now frowned upon because they can be misconstrued or associated with the wrong meaning.

  • Your a fucking tool.

  • Lol troll.

  • Your suck a fucking twat

  • your gud at gramar

  • lol

  • FAIL

  • you're probably some ugly fat chick gamer. just die.

  • wow.. was Trenty playing the guitar through the whole song? he usually gets lazy and lets it rest around his neck.. lol

  • haha true.

  • F I S T F U C K

  • dude where did you get this video?where was it released? i remember seeing saul open for nin but i had never heard of a duet. sweet!

  • TThis was recorded in October of 2006 at the Voodoo music fest that was originally canceled due too Katrina but Trent brought it back from the dead. I don't think they had toured together before that, because he announced a "surprise guest" which most of us thought would be Manson.....thank god it wasn't cause it was a great show

  • It's great to see Trent working with someone who isn't a Self-Parodic middle aged clown. Seriously, Saul is a genius, just check out Niggy Tardust for proof.

  • Saul Williams and Michael Franti are the shit ... Spearhead live are savage, Saul live, savage. Keep it lit lads!

  • saul williams is the shit

and nin has always been one of my favorite bands

so this is sweetness right here

  • Who's on drums? that's not John Freese (or whatever) as usual.

  • alex carapetis is the drummer

  • Is trent kinda rapping at the beginning? or doesnt he even use vocals on this track?

  • Trent just sings the chorus on this song. he sings it on the studio track too

  • I saw Saul/NIN in Quebec city and man I felt sorry for him. There were idiots like Gorbad2 who were screaming shit at him and it REALLY ruined the vibe. At one point Saul said something like Were trying to have a good time here, i hope someone kick your asses after this.

I also saw him in 2003 opening for The Mars Volta and he had no music and just "recited" his songs like poems (wich they basicly are)People were clinging to his every words, it was fucking great

  • Dude this kicks butt!! Yay!!

  • Shame on you, Saul Williams is great!

  • lol. Shut up you southern piece of shit. This isn't the 50s asshole. You're gonna have to live with this guy. and if you have kids (if you're old enough) I hope your children listen to him all day :)

  • Guess what buddy? The world is full of people of all different colors-- not just white. So dismount off your high horse and pull your head out of your ass. You sound fucking ignorant. You don't have to like Saul Williams as an artist, but don't be a racist prick and judge him for his color

  • Gorbad2 - Y O U A R E A N I D I O T .

  • haha Sorry i meant to give you a thumbs up but hit the wrong one.

  • loling@racism

  • I could have reworded my comment a little. But, all I would have done is put the word "today" after "black people." Watch Saul's Def poetry jam video here on this site. When was the last time you saw a mainstream artist put that much passion into something as simple as a selection of poetry?

  • Reznor is the Resistance. Period.

  • I like this. :)

  • why dont you guys like, meet in a mall parking lot and duke that shit out. someone can wear an aerosmith t shirt and the other can wear a run dmc t shirt. good luck dudes

  • pigd1666 - "It's really nice to see good music come from a black person"

    WHAT??

    What world are you from?

    pig, your stupid.

  • pig your comment is a bit generalized imho. There are hip hop groups out there (not necessarily mainstream) that don't write about the things you say every rapper writes about. What about the roots or solillaquists of sound? Yes there is alot of generic gangsta rap, but there is also a good amount of hip hop out there that has a more important message than riding w/my hoes and crunk. It's not good to assume everything is one way, and that's what you're doing.

  • Thats what I'm saying. The people who get far are not musicians. The actual musicians like The Roots or all the other artists that actually have something important to say are shadowed by this shit that comes out and is praised as good music.Because Saul Williams has a message that isn't about his car, or his millions of hoes he has, he is overshadowed.THAT is what I'm saying. Why don't The Roots have airplay like Soulja Boy? Where are the days where Public Enemy had a message and still did well?

  • PS 1. My name already has piss in it so there's not really anything you can do with that that would offend me pigshit69

    2. I didn't give you those thumbs down btw.

  • It's really nice to see good music come from a black person. Unfortunately, we all know it, but whether you want to admit it or not, we all stereotypically think the only music that particular race can release is shitty rap. Finally someone does something positive instead of feeding the stereotype. Not that that certain stereotype isn't true, because let's face it, this is the first black artist in a LONG time that hasn't talked about bitches, money, and "killin' a nigga."

  • i cant say im up-to-date with rap but i can say i c ur point, well said indeed
