just because jobs is gone doesn't mean the world is less good. we still have his influence, his creations... he will be immortal so long as we humans put value on the things he created and the things that we did. and, like all things, his time here was temporary. so instead of trying to make sure the world is less good without us, how about focusing on making sure that we leave the world better than it would have been without us?

Did anyone else notice that 7 days after Steve Jobs died Dennis Ritchie died? I loved Steve Jobs and all, but without Dennis Ritchie there would be no Unix, no C programming language, and no Unix based systems like Apples or C-based languages like Objective C (iPhone developers anyone?). Yet this true genius passed with barely a mention. Steve Jobs was a celebrity, Ritchie changed the world.

Basically they give you the choice of being in grade level classes or classes that are a good 5 grade levels lower. No in between.

This is very true. In the end, Steve Jobs' inventions have touched people's daily lives all over the world. He left an impact that makes the world a lacking place without him there, and if we can somehow depart from this earth and leave a hole behind us, then we're done something right. I like to think, though, that everyone, regardless of how famous they are, touches the lives of many people in their own lifetime simply by being sociable and generous.

And even if his company did employ people in China, those inventions have been used around the world by nearly everyone.
