Yeah they made a mistake. But I'm afraid the show is, if fact, quite fake. If they've ever managed to catch any real other-worldly phenomena, it has been overshadowed by their constant trickery.. Grants jacket tug, the pant legged fast running ghost, the "you're not supposed to be here" evp that sounds eerily just like the "boss wants it deeper" evp. Lame! What else can one say? Lame lame, perhaps?

Well, that solves another mystery. Time to go to the maltshop for a milkshake and some Scoobysnacks!! Good eye, there. Maybe now you can try to debunk the phantom in the cloak at Eastern State Penetentiary (first visit), and if successful with that, maybe take a crack at the one (not sure which episode) where they spot a distinctly shaped male figure in some sort of a cap using the thermal imaging camera. Those two by far are my favorite ones and I'm guessing the hardest to refute.

Today is January 13, 2010 and I just got done watching SyFy air this episode once again.

My videos for this episode still stand even if the spelling is bad. I didn't see if they had a disclaimer in the beginning this time but I didn't see one at the end so I feel that this episode should not have been shown again.

When they moved Meatloafs water bottle they forgot to close the window. When Grants jacket was being pulled, it was obvious it was him manipulating it with string.. When they had the lamp slide across a table, they used an entirely different tablecloth.

Ah, thanks for this. I was really skeptical of this footage, while amazing at first, because it was just too good to be true. That and I've never heard of a ghost to look like the girl from The Ring, otherwise I would abandon this field right now, lol.

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up. If TAPS did admit it, then great. Besides, they've still got the Florida Lighthouse footage and loads of other good material. They're bound to mistake things for the paranormal, especially something like that.

The statue was right in front of the lens, it will appear bigger. If you have a camera try it. Put something on a table in front of you. Then move your camera closer to it, you will see the object seems bigger as you get closer to it.

The state was up close to the lense so, no, the state was not too small. Put ur hand rite up by your camera and see if it still looks the same size as when you have your hand at a normal distance. Or try it with anything you have around your home for that matter..

Exactly, there is no evidence that ghosts truly exist. There is just evidence by the word of mouth, and that cannot be relied on. Photos and videos can be debunked like this one. If somebody had proof of ghosts, then why wouldn't they just give it to that Randi foundation for the million dollars?

but you have to be willing to accept the mistakes and own up to them. Paranormal investigation is not an exact science. It has only been around since the mid 19th century and as disciplines go, that isn't very long at all. But it is long enough to have established certain guidelines and practices that should be followed including debunking your own data and evidence for the purposes of quality and content. Don't present anything as evidence if you aren't sure of your procedures and practices.

That said, now that this video has been explained as a case of mistaking something that was in the room being video taped, the question becomes why are all those who seem to love TAPS so much willing to give them a pass on something as important as obtaining evidence to support or disprove a clients claims? If they were a doctor and made a wrong diagnosis, as was the case here, they could be in real trouble over something like this and so could the patient. Mistakes will happen

If you truly want to find out about the paranormal and find answers to that burning question of what happens to us when we die, you have to do the work and that means keeping an open mind until such time as you have conclusive evidence to prove or disprove something. If this has been debunked conclusively, and it appears it has, then the work on this has been done and it has been determined there was an error. TAPS should have picked up on this BEFORE it became an issue though and not after.

I mean Ghost Hunters debunks hauntings all the time. They've gone to legendary haunted places and come up with no evidence of haunting when it would have been very lucrative for them to do otherwise. They're not going to "fake" something so lame and obvious. One of the reasons the show has such a fan base is that it doesn't come up with "evidence" every time or even every other time.

I've seen this video and the next and you've found no evidence of fraud.

All I did was run a certain program I have that captures images and compares them to existing images. My program found a match.
