does everything I need, from speed, to 4x4 options, to ground clearance, to comfort, and even audio.
SUV's are not serious offroaders when they come straight from the factory. Because they were build to Tow, go on minor offroading sessions, and hold good amount of room.
IF you want a serious offroader from the factory, buy a wrangler, or a H1 hummer, but you don't tell me that 4runners are better, because mine is stock, what can a stock 4unner do?
Please dont call an H1 an offroading machine. it is durable enough to be drug over pretty much anything but it weighs too much and is too wide for any serious trail riding (unless you want to widen/flatten the trail in the process)
I could return mine to stock in about a hour if I wanted to (all I have modified is longer shackels and brake lines). Stock Vs. Stock I would wager me in a stock 1984 4runner could hang with any stock Jeep besides a Wrangler Rubicon.
I'm now convinced it is definitely in Oz, considering previous comments about not seeing that model 80 series in the US and also it looks like the driver is on the RHS of the vehicle.
best yank of roadin ever there, much respect to the driver oh u aint an off raoder if u aint bn in a roll, its part of the excitement yee haa mon the toys n ZOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not so sure thats in yankee land. I'm seeing alot of landcruisers in the back, including what looks like an HZJ pickup which have never been available in the US.
Well I own a 80 series Landcruiser and I can assure myself & everybody else I definately wont be driving my 4wd like that guy....he has some very balls....or is it he's just crazy!!!!....but nice driving....lol...
that's between a 94 and 99 that's the none lexury version that they make for other countries that's prolly why it does not look too familiar because they dont sell that model of land cruiser in the us
They are amazing vehicles. He should look into some 35" tires for the beast. Even though he seemed to do fine with what appears to be 33" meats. The 80 series was only sold from '91 to '97 in the US before it was replaced with the 100 series. The 80 series is generally better equipped for off-road.
The headlights suggest a model that's older since the years you specified would use molded headlight lenses instead of separate low and high sealed beam modules.
yes, the none lexurious model all came with those lights, it does not come with mud flaps or a third row of seats or rear a/c, no power windowsor custom rims this model was never sold in the us, this was a car only for of road work and fun even some police units the name of the model is (toyota land cruiser AUTANA) look it up and they also have a car selling website in venezuela call tucarro, com and they sell them there (just like an ebay page for cars)
Ok then how could my Stock axle, open diffed 1984, 4banger toyota 4runner on 32"s follow locked, wranglers, Cherokees and one CJ that would almost qualify as a buggy around?
No. I am not saying a jeep cant go anywhere I can go (even though I have gone places some wont follow) I am saying even with my EXTREAMLY mildly modified 4runner I have never been "put in my place" by a jeep anything.
Only thing your toyota knows how to tow is it's own body, tell those fuckers to spend some more money and equip their poor excuse of a 4x4 with engines that aren't as powerfull as a kia sedan.
I will say this OLD jeeps kick ass. I learned to drive stick in a CJ-5 with a AMC 304... I would not trade my 4runner for anything Jeep is building today. I mean come on, even Chrysler has recognized the fact that they suck when they named the new jeeps I mean the JK? Might as well ad the other two letters, JoKe. I mean "Oooo we pussified it and gave it two more doors". great selling point.
YOu act like it's a big fucking deal, whats so hard about putting a fucking lift and mud tires, then throw some lockers? anything will move after you add that.
You need to go watch some WJ videos, anything dips ass when you mod it right, but not everything drives as good as a Wj. my Wj is fast, fun, great 4x4 options, roomy, luxury, and can do some offroading that is up to it's ground clearance. The first comment of mine dissing toyota was a reply to an idiot who had to make a smart comment.
And no it is not a big deal.. I am just bored and seeing how many times you would come bang your head on a wall talking to me :D.
Web wheelers are the greatest(referring to you). I enjoy wheeling with everyone and I went on a ride with a bunch of Jeep guys last week. (didn't notice and G. Cherokees though, there was one Regular Cherokee)
Most guys who actually go out and drive their trucks could not give two shits about what brand something is as long as it gets used properly.
HAHA you are bragging on the 4.7H.O.? I had one in a 06 Dakota. The engine is a dog.
And whats so great about Selec-Trac? Fulltime 4wd? Whoopty-freeking-do!
And btw, I doubt your mall crawler Cheep Bland Cherokee could climb anything tall enough to get in a position to shit on my 4runner.
My 4runner might suck compared to a built CJ, but with all the BS you have been talking I was at least giving you credit for driving a real Jeep. I am sure the leather seats are a ton of help on the trail.
My mistake, we are discussing all this on a video about off-roading and you ment how fast and luxurious your jeep is on pavement? When did we start discussing that? Yeah if you are going to drive to them mall then your Cherokee is way better. I guess you win :D I surrender. to your far superior logic.
P.S. two grand for a lift and tires? holy crap! I am getting some junk yard 63" Chevy springs, after that the tires will cost me about 800 bucks. I am figuring 950 dollars total investment.
The whole argument has been that you said a Jeep would put a Toyota in its place. I never said that my 4runner was BETTER. I said I have never been "put in my place" by one. And that Older solid axle Toyotas are very capable trucks even when close to stock, and they are very good inexpensive platforms to build on.
P.S. I have videos of me wheeling. All I see on your page is alot of nothing. Untill I see some evidince to the contrary all you are is a web wheeler.... A Grand Cherokee....

Because of modding buddy.
Doesn't fucking matter what you buy these days, hell you can buy a kia and make it do that.

Did you not listen to what I said? besides the tires and some lift shackels my 4runner is bone stock.
BikerTrashWolf 4 years ago
And? You think a jeep can't do that?

No. I am not saying a jeep cant go anywhere I can go (even though I have gone places some wont follow) I am saying even with my EXTREAMLY mildly modified 4runner I have never been "put in my place" by a jeep anything.
"Ever heard of JeeP?
Puts your toyota back in it's place."
I can rewrite that for you.
"Ever heard of Heep?
Maybe your toyota can tow it back to camp"
If anything
BikerTrashWolf 4 years ago
No, the only trash here is toyota.
Jeep is the symbol of 4x4 dumbass.

Your 4runner isn't better than a lifted jeep.
thats the whole argument. Whats better?
a lifted 4.7LHO fully equipped Jeep?
or a lifted 1987 4Runner?
No it's the jeep.
