This is only a simple shadow of what could've been. Why can't Square Enix be a bit more laid back about PS like other companies? I haven't seen a server shut down because of legal issues. I thought the whole point of making private servers was to avoid/bypass having to pay the ridiculous monthly fee's. and yes they are ridiculous. No game should be demanding money like that. FFXI had keyword: had the best and hardest boss fights out of any mmorpg during it's golden days. Try killing the Pandemonium Warden and Absolute Virtue when it came out, square enix had to nerf those fights because nobody was skilled enough to take them down haha.

@PiMpStAnLeY sorry but FFXI is an amazing game. It's very hard and honestly very tedious to get up in levels. However, once you do get up in levels it becomes an addiction. WoW is very similar in that way, except FFXI is much harder and imo that makes it better. A 12 year could raid in WoW, no way possible in FFXI, they would lose attention.

You can't join. FFXI server are too unstable atm, for now all you can do is setup up ur own for testing. Understand that the pXI files are emulators and that its not the official server files from se.
