I had the same problem but the carbon separated on the nose within 5 minutes of skating. I took photos but the company refused to resolve the situation. Never buying decks from them again.
I got my rev deck board like a month ago and at first it was good but after 2 weeks the layers started to separate then I did a kick flip and landed right on the tail of the board and it chipped so and now there is a giant hole on the bottom of the board!! Bottom line is just stick to wood boards not this crap it sucks! I agree 100% with the guys in the video
You should just check out us carbondecks.co.uk - bamboo and carbon technology, designed to feel like a good wood deck with extreme pop, stiffness and ultra light weight
Seriously, this video is bullshit :b All I skate it revolutions and I've had five in the last two years, and I break more decks than anyone I've ever seen. I got a defective one that broke after a month ONCE, and they happily replaced it with a new one. They're cool people and definitely make quality decks... But then again, everybody is different. Just, don't let biased reviews persuade you.
I just got one recently. It took 2-3 weeks to process the order. I finally got it, and it feels cheap. Very plastic feeling. Slides really nice like a slick. Every time I pop it or flip it I feel like I shouldn't land on it because it feels really light, likes its fragile or something. I only had it this weekend, didn't really get to sesh on it. But so far I feel like I wasted my money. $150 for one revdeck or 2-3 wood decks?
@pen15envy trust me man you didn't waste any money. I'm a team rider and they have lasted me a long time. they feel different at first but not in a bad way. This video gives off a horrible image to RevDeck because this is not very likely to happen. If you speak with anyone else that has it they will tell you how amazing the board is. Don't let this video change the way you look at it.
@Kyle0rtiz i've been riding one for the last few weeks, which is nice since it rained and i still can ride it without worry of de-lam. I'm not a fan of the shape, it feels a bit flat-ish. I wish it had more concave. It looks a bit odd too with the underside of the board. It's okay but they really need to get the cost down. Under a hundred sounds right, but above a hundo is too much of an investment. Not trying to discourage anyone in buying one, but it is an investment.
@pen15envy which size did you get? and the underside has those indentations in it to help with grabs and makes the board lighter. The concave is pretty good to me, it's a standard size concave however pops faster than a wood deck. usually wood companies make there board with extra concave so that you can pop higher however we don't need it because it's of course not wood. The price is cheap, it's the price of 2 wood decks but lasts you the length of 8 or 10 or possibly higher.
Dude...I'm 6'3 210 pounds and I regularly skate gaps and stairs. Wood boards break in about a week for me and these last me 2-3 months. Not sure what happened with yours....
dude i havent skated in like 6 months because i break boards in like 2 to 3 weeks and i just dont have that kind of money...im 6'4 200 how long do u guys think a rev deck would last me
@MrWobert5212 yes! revdecks will last you! The board in this video was old one of the first revdecks ever made. This could have been a mess-up with this particular board, but i assure you that you will not waste your money on a a deck. It's completely the best deal in skateboarding, hands down.
dude me and my friend both break boards like every two weeks or so and both of ours have lasted like over 2 months with like no problems and barely any razortail you mustve ran it over with a semi
its probably not as bad as it looks. it probably wouldve been better if it wasnt on figheye!! and maybe his bord is shit because he trashes it, like at the very end. who knows, maybe he did tht to his board from beggining to make it like tht. X_o
trust me, the video honestly makes it look good. That thing touched the ground if you stepped anywhere near the middle. And no, he was only trashing it because it was already trashed, i skated with him every day.
I bought one too. I live in Europe so it costed me a shitload of money to get one. And it cracked in 2 weeks. For the money I bought it I could have bought 5 normal wooden decks.
eh, theyre kinda flatish to me. really similiar to an almost. kinda short nose and tails, but then again, i'm used to habitats which have huge noses and concave
more libtech, i bought the 8.25 deck but either way its pretty wide. like i said i dont ride as much as i used to but when i first bought it i was riding quite a bit. these guys started making fiberglass skis like 30 years ago or something so they know their stuff. i found it on ebay for 60 or so and ive had it for 2 years - i have a miniramp out back and thats pretty much all i ride nowadays but its still pops like new. i was looking for a stronger board and the "plastihide" gets it done.
get a libtech if you can find one - i am about 220 lbs - size 13 feet - i dont ride much anymore getting kinda old and broken down - but i have a libtech and it is super super tuff!! i bought the 8 1/2 inch wide one tho because of my giant feet - but is also super slick. it has verticle layers and 4 epoxy layers. im not gonna lie they are a bit heavier but not too much and well worth the extra weight. the board is so solid that sometimes it hurts my feet. no kidding!!
Really? I don't have one, but I have a fiberglass deck. I'm not that good and I hardly ever land bolts so no offence, just weird that they make claims of their tour and the deck lasting 3 months with the pros and stuff
i dont speak unintelligible caveman. sorry. Your comment is not understandable by normal human beings, and seeing as it looks like an insult, i'm just going to disregard it.
haha well mine last me around 6-8 mnths and i still cant break them i just give up because i want something new (im sponsored by them) so its a little different i just call tim up and ask for a restock but i love those boards i love rails and there slick as can be plus they never lose pop or get watter logged
haha bro i ride for rev there awsome boards and last forevverr i have a vid to prove it. i was riding a deck for 8mnths then after that ran it over with my car and it still woulnt break... they just have a few defective ones no big
Atleast there sending you a new one and saying its a defect.. Most other companys would say no sorry your fault etc.. I had a friend who got a Reaction deck years ago!. The wood on the nose just split apart the glue ws shit. They said its your fault n wouldnt refund him! Atleast there sorting it out for you! Hopefully your get a good one this time! :D
yea it is gonna be the game of the year. i cant wait for that shit to come out. I am really diggin the free shirt though that might be my favorite part of it ha
i might play it some times on the weekend between girlfriend, work, skating, fixing my busted ass car, homework, editting my video i haven't worked on in a month, getting my new not so busted ass car, and playing halo 3 you never know. damn i still need to call in a complaint to rev decks but i am too lazy fuck this is a predicament
Andrew, youre so stupid! if you just called in instead of leaving these long ass winded comments that you could just tell me at school since i see you every day! CALL NOW!
wat do trucks have to do with anything? I broke a board not trucks well i guess i did break my trucks once but that was a fluke i think. o well any way i can keep trucks for 2 years too if i really wanted to but i am sponsored so i get new trucks all the time.
they told Andrew it was a defect board, so theyre sending him a new one. Apparently they're redesigning them because him and like 6 other people broke them.
Notice how it's still together...

u shouldve ordered the stiff version, it says that its a bit heavier, but more durable and still way lighter than wooden boards.

theyre too expensive to be defective. I mean, if we're paying $140 for one, it better last at least 3 or 4 months.
