This was the closest battle between any unit and the Black Knight (any unit's that aren't Laguz) unless compared to Mia vs Black Knight (both games). Ike, you got lucky that's all, otherwise the Black Knight would have owned you if you hadn't got those critical-hits as well as the Black Knight not activating Miracle all the time.

Why couldn't Miracle take the 2nd hit half to 5 so he can win the next round in your save file I used and on one of the saves when you can fight Ike and his team with 3rd class max stats Soren has miracle and whenever I double him he survives the hit then crit and edward does 16 dmg and ziharks range hits

@96Thompson Ok, just a quick tutorial if you haven't already gone and read up on Fire Emblems, each Character has a Skill stat and each weapon has a Critical Stat. Each influence when a Crit/Combo takes place. Now some Characters such as IKE and The Black Knight have Skills like Resolve and Wrath which activate when certain conditions are met (like under 20% HP) Some skills like the Ultimate Skill Eclipse activates on chance.

@kalas1989 The Miracle Skill occasionally halves the damage received from a deadly hit, here, the Black Knight should have taken 20 damage, but Miracle reduced it to 10 damage.

the reason why Ike has a hard time to defeat the Dark knight is that the knight has heavy armor and ike has little armor ,and Zelguis and black knight are the same person and Zelguis was Ike's instructor, so obviously its gonna be hard.

Wouldn't the last move take 15 Damage because of miracle. Criticals are 3x so if its 10x3 then it would be 30 but with the effects of miracle it would take half of the critical?

But, by some kind of miracle for the Black Knight, he managed to survive Ike's death blow. Ike, shocked that The Black Knight didnt die from the critically powerful attack didnt falter for a second and Ike then did a 3 hit killer attack, finishing his enemy truly avenging his father.

What happened to me the first time is Ike had 31 HP left and the BK was gonna die in one hit. Bk went first and criticaled, leaving Ike with 1 Hp and Ike killed him. (No Miracle.) How about you?

Are you talking about Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn? Radiant Dawn was disappointingly easy, which is why I started hacking the game. Path of Radiance took me a few tries to beat him. :]

You have to think that each event has a chance of happening already, and sometimes the odds just turn out in a character's favor and they get crits several times in a row. There is always a chance of it happening.
