  • Wow! Well done! *whew!*

  • Very nice job Shawn !

  • monette..

  • Awesome, man! Can you post some other videos of you playing some music? I'd really like to hear more. Thanks for posting this.

  • My trumpet instructor had me doing that shit. It's so freaking hard! Good job though. I got in two, and that's the best I could do.

  • Ebay here I come,Getzen for sale!!! GREAT JOB!!

  • Nice work Shawn!!

  • Haha I get the the 3rd line then die off... :/

  • So privileged to hear you do this LIVE, on stage at the Jeff Purtle Brass Camp. Great job, Shawn.

  • Ah sweet! Very nice. Wish I could do that on trombone!

  • is the player who make not the mouthpiece ,you play good before with other mouthpiece , sound great like always shawn Un abrazo mi amigo. Victor Duran

  • Nice lol

and to ask about the mouthpiece, is it still like "No bite"? Or does it have some. Anything to compare it too?

Nice playing and nice horn lol

  • I have been (re)practicing these etudes lately. Good job.

  • dude that is such a sweet horn...i so want to get one. how much was urs?

  • Wow ... Nice man ..

  • Not much to say, really. It feels comfortable, it's shallow, and it pretty much does what is expected from Monette equipment.

I have noticed that in loud situations, it cuts through much better than my deeper mouthpiece (Monette B4LD PRANA), but they both feel great and respond instantly.

  • Great job, I just got a Clark book today and you give a great example of how this piece should be played.

  • Thanks. Good luck with it. It is a great tool for fingers and (maybe more importantly) air control and power.

  • How do you like the MFIII prana?? I'm thinking about upgrading i'm on a MFIII regular right now.And BTW Great Playing.

  • I like the MFIII PRANA, but I have recently switched to a B4L PRANA. As much as I loved the MFIII, I wasn't getting the dark overtones in my sound that I wanted ...

    And thanks ...

  • hey man, i'm coming to you personally, because I'm curious. . I been thinking about getting a PRANA. I see that you have the B4L Prana. How is that one? Is it for classical, jazz, or both? And how much did you pay for it?

  • The B4L PRANA is a really comfortable mouthpiece, with (for me) just the right amount of "darkness" to be able to play in more small band jazz situations and still play lead in a big band. So, I use it for both - I don't play very much classical music. The PRANA mouthpiece will cost about $300 these days, I think.

  • Nice. Where did you get yours from?

  • I got mine from Monette. When I ordered the horn, they sent me a few pieces to try out. B4L was one of the ones I settled on.

BTW, the Monette people are really great to deal with. Very helpful and supportive.

  • Good, I'm just gon have to get ahold of them and ask for a few mouthpieces to try out. Because i really do want for my my Blessing horn.

  • OMG, that was amazing

  • nice!

  • Wow! That's great Shawn!

  • Keep up the good work. Hope to see more from you in the future.

  • Wow! Great job, Shawn.

  • Thanks, Matt. I have been reading your posts on TH for quite some time now, and they're always excellent and informative.

    Shawn
