Any progress on this? is there still no way to play ps3 backups? I've been looking and all I see are these REALLY shady programs like CopyThatGame and extreme game copier :/ I don't want to mod my ps3 and I don't want to pay for expensive software

1 part. Then comes the problem of finding a mounter that will mount to blue ray discs. I can't really even find blue ray blanks. stick to the 360 and psp if you want to softmod your console and play backups.

game? days most 360 game downloads are about 10-25 parts at 300+ mb each usually hosted on rapid share or mega upload and even if you bought an account on both websites and sat and dl'd a average size 360 game it takes at the least 4 or 5 hours, Now. Imagine how long itd take to download a ps3 game instead of games being 8 or so gb. their now 20+ gb so they'd be around 50 or more parts and itd take a couple hours for winrar to put it back into

its a few things, 1 the ps3 is a lot more advance then the 360 making it harded to make a modchip, and there arnt many people trying to dev one, and the main effort of ps3 dev's is to do a software hack or mod to play backups, which is also very hard to do

this works with all.

1. burn ps3 disc on whatever

2.insert a real ps3 disc

3. click X to start the game

4. as the ps3 logo comes up, disconnect the hdd.

5.change the disc to the burned one.

6. plug the hdd back in

7. push O on the error message

- after that it should have work and you should see your burned game. it wont run though

u can play ps1 backups with a .tiff exploit, but there isnt real a good exploit yet that will alow developers to work on the ps3 firmware yet. and wat u mean buy swapmagic, that only works if u open ur ps3 up and other then that theres nothing

i knew why the game is not running because

the laser read the dvd when you put it(booting the game)

then when your trying to run it (press x)the laser

switch to blu ray mod to read and load files

fast , but u r game in dvd so the laser cant

start it

you will have to make to hack ps3 to think this is blu ray game :)
